    If the whole charge is concentrated at a point then what'll be the volume charge density outside the point.

      For a point charge located at (x,y,z), rho is 0 at all other points, since there is no charge at these spatial locations. It is more convenient to use the charge q in this situation.

    Maybe someone can point me to the right direction with this question. Just so you know, I'm biomedical grad student, and due to the nature of my project I had to learn the whole of electromagnetic in about 2 month. So I may have missed or misunderstood a few things in my rush to learning. My question is how to find the charge density/ charge distribution of a dipole or better yet group of dipole. Since the dipole has both negative and positive charge would that charge density be 0? I want to use Multipole expansion. But it requires volume charge density.
