Incredible, I think this is the best version on UA-cam. I'm starting to learn this piece and really love your expression and interpretation.

listen to Hadelich's version too, it's also good
I cannot forgive myself for not finding this version sooner. Truly wonderful playing!! Gave me the chills. Favorite version without a doubt.
If someone would say that Antal Zalai was the greatest living classical violinist, he certainly wouldn't be wrong about that because David Oistrakh and George Enescu are both gone. The hope is with you my friend. Thank you for the effort to stay true to the music. Rare indeed.
I played this back in the day when I’d taken years of lessons. It’s a beautiful piece imo, due to its relative simplicity and emotion. I’ve heard this played by all the best- Bell, Perlman, Heifetz, etc, and this particular recording by Antal Zalai is by far the best. Bravo !!!! and thank you so much for sharing your gift Mr Zalai! I wish I had 1/10 th of The talent you have. My dream as a child was to play like you do...unfortunately my talent did not match up with my dream, lol
any 16 year old that can play better than perlman in any way has truly mastered the violin
best version EVER
The better version - Perlman...
@@Francesco-wc1pw Noooope sorry, this exceeds Perlman in terms of passion and clarity of tone. I think Mr. Perlman shall agree too :)

one of the best violinists EVER
Космическая музыка! Браво!👏
I've been trying to find the best player for this piece for a week on UA-cam. Ahhhh, I just found it. Fantistico!!!!!
You bring meaning to every tone, a very warm and rich approach to this piece....one of the best versions I know.
My compliments!
no excessive effects , just music , bravo !
The best - first time I heard and could follow the syncopated cadenza section clear as a bell.
Thank you so much for this Beautiful, Exquisite Masterpiece!

Bravo, respect!!!👍😳😲
Lovely expression! U really feel the music. Ur sound is just amazing!
There are so many great performances of this fine piece. Besides Kreisler himself, probably two of the best known are Wanda Wilkomirska and Antonio Barbosa, Itzhak Perlman and Samuel Sanders. And now we have yet another wonderful rendition. (Not to mention so many others -- if not as well known, surely no less alluring.) Thank you!
@@ramonmiranda223
>> Wonderful. I have not heard a recording with Kreisler himself
Haha, now you will probably hear from a bunch of folks who will insist that Kreisler is not necessarily the best interpreter of Kreisler.
Which may or may not be true -- of composers in general, and in this case. (But by saying "not necessarily" we render that statement somewhat more likely accurate.)
But you never said that Kreisler is the best interpreter of his own music, only that it is interesting to hear him play his own music.
And who can argue with that?
@@TS13579 I know I enjoy Kreisler playing himself!

Remarkable interpretation, thanks for this Antal!, greetings from Perú!
Hi, i'm from egypt
in my opinion you are the best violinist i'd ever seen..you have an unique Rendition
But when did you start to play violin ?..and in which age have you reached to the advanced Technique ?
Thank you! I started when I was 5 years old. By the age of 15, I had a pretty stabile technique. But later, when I was already an adult, and didn't study anymore with teachers, I changed a lot of things in my own technique, because I didn't agree with the way my teachers had taught me, and I wanted to play better. This took many years.
@@AntalZalai That's interesting, what exactly did you change? Obviously you got rid of your shoulder rest...also your play seems to be much more relaxed now...anyway...wonderful play of a wonderful piece!
Mostly violin hold, and left hand technique.
@@AntalZalai Love this performance. Curious, do you still play this every now and then? ♥
You may play again this piece? just to remember the past and the present of your feelings?
You had the strad then?
Ruitzer Abraham No, this violin was made by Carl Zach (Vienna, 1896). I still have this instrument.
Incredible!! :)
this yeets me back to the 1700's
найкраще виконання цього твору, як на мене.
Dang Freddie Benson is popping off
