Tommy, what a good idea with the netting to keep the birds out of you seedlings. Everything is looking so lush, to me. I hope it stays that way all the way to harvest time.
I love how excited Peter gets for thunderstorms. You are positively incandescent. Do you get tornadoes? Tommy, ever so practical, always finds solutions to the challenges of nature. You guys work so hard. I’m happy when you have wonderful results ❤❤
Thunderstorms are so fun 😁 Of course when they don't cause any damage! Tornadoes are rare, but they can occur. You might remember this video from 2021, when a strong tornado hit parts of the Czech Republic. We explained here: ua-cam.com/video/EyMLvzk3-hI/v-deo.html Tommy can handle anything in the garden 😁
🇲🇽👋. Amazing how your garden is getting better and better. You guys work hard to make it happen. And you share it with us. Thank you. We love Tommy and Peter💘💘
Thanks for your garden tour and I can see all the hard work you both have done, but it looks so good and I can see the joy you both get from beautiful flowers and produce you get, take care of each other
I can only wish for so many flowers... that birds eat ticks, so rather cover your seeds and leave them. Your face when you talk about clouds made my day😊❤ and Tommy's smile.. I brought a few more planters . Your garden are like my bonsai trees never ending 😂
Wow, spring taken possession of every corner of your beautiful farm. An a lot of work, always, but it's worth it, right? Talking about petunias, the Mayans and the Incas believed that the scent of them had the power to ward off underworld monsters and spirits. And with those flowers they prepared magical drinks. So... you are more protected now. How nice to give a new chance to those old objects that you have found in your barn and fill them with flowers or veggies. Always a pleasure guys. See you soon.
I love all your unique choices of planters and plant holders...what a novel idea to actually put them to good use. Your country house is pretty amazing and turning into a nice retreat.
Hi guys! I love seeing your country home coming to life again with all the flowering plants, trees, wildflowers and vegetables! Your little forest will be amazing someday when all the trees mature. We too call the one flowers you have Petunias. They come in a nice variety of colors and I love them! Another beautiful, fun video! Thanks for sharing! Take care!
Thank you, Peggy 😉 Good to see you in the comments again 😊 We can't wait for the conifer trees to grow, and we can also see more petunias flowering and the colors are so nice. See you next time 😉
I do not like rude birds digging up seedlings, but I used to love playing Angry Birds video game😊 I think those Guinea fowl look like a free dinner😂 I think I would gather all that tall grass, once cut down, and use around those bushes that you are mowing around to keep the weeds down? Thanks for sharing❤
Haha, you would eat all the birds or play games with them, Michael 😀 We use all the grass clippings for mulching, as could be seen for example around the planted conifer trees, but it's not enough for everything 😉
Thanks for the update guys. You've been incredibly busy by the looks of your garden and the hard work is paying off. We have Darren's dad visiting for 3 weeks at the end of the month and then his best friend and his family visiting a couple of months later...all of course from the USA. I am frantically trying to get the house and garden ready before we leave for Sorrento next week as his dad arrives just 3 days after we get back. There's never enough time for everything 🫤 By the way I loved the pathways through the 'meadows'. I thought that was deliberate...but of course your broken tractor-mower was the reason.
Thank you 😉 Yes, we know such situations very well. When someone is supposed to visit, we want everything to look better than usual, and it's a lot of work and pressure, haha 😀 We are sure, you will manage in the end somehow. Good luck 😁
Thank you, Neil. We are happy that the garlic grows so well in our garden. So far, every year it has been a success 😊 Sorry to hear it's not the case in your garden 🫤
I enjoyed you garden tour. You do a lot of work but with some lovely rewards. On the middle flower box in the post, you called the jump ups I think. In Australia we call them violas I believe. Most of all I enjoy seeing you both as a couple. You are a wonderful example of a same sex marriage which so special.
Yes, luckily having a garden can be quite rewarding, so it's been fun 😊 The 'Johnny jump ups' are a funny English (American?) name. They are from the viola family; we call them similar in Czech. Thank you 😉😊
Thank you for sharing your garden and all the work you two are doing. It’s a beautiful environment. Yo are growing a lot of vegetables for just two people. Do you sale at farmers market, share with neighbors, or consume it all the two of you?
Thank you, Jerry! It might look like a lot but we don't grow that many vegetables. You need a lot if you want to eat them throughout the year. It disappears quickly. For example, we had a lot of potatoes stored from last year but now they are coming to an end, and the new ones are definitely not ready yet 🙃
You are fortunate not to have deer invade your garden! It is a problem for us at our place in Northern California. Also glad do see you are using electric mower and weed wacker!
Yes, luckily no deer here coming from the fields. The electric mowers are quite practical, but alone they are not enough for our big garden, so we also need a bigger riding lawnmower.
great video Guys .. i have the same problem sowing seed in the veg garden ..not many slugs here but mice love seed ..once the lettuce etc are growing they leave them alone so i have to start seeds in pot like you :) i have guinea fowl ..they are great for getting rid of pests in the garden and dont eat many plants ..hope the ones that visited you got home ok :)
Thank you, Simon 😉 At least it's nice that they let the lettuce be once it grows bigger. So cool, that you have a guinea fowl. They definitely look interesting 😊
The net against the birds is not so good in my opinion. Just for smaller birds this can be a deadly trap. I`ve made these bad experience a few years ago, because I would protect my currant.
We read about that, but don't know what else to do. We have two kinds of nets, and one seems to be better, with lower risk of birds getting tangled there.
We are getting similar weather in England and Ireland, I am visiting my Irish farm and tending the gardens nine month after my last stay , if there was a prize for well grown weeds my garden would win , I would love to send pictures of my efforts, but I'm only on What's app, Can't see how to send photos to other U tube members ,
Well done Tommy you are a real garden designer 🏵🌻🌷🐝🪴🍀
Many thanks 😉😊

Thank you again, so nice that you've been enjoying the garden 😊
Thanks for your garden tour and I can see all the hard work you both have done, but it looks so good and I can see the joy you both get from beautiful flowers and produce you get, take care of each other
Many thanks. Having a garden can be quite rewarding 😊
The garden is beginning to grow beautifully. In a short months time, I believe there will be a much bigger transformation that will surprise everyone.
Thank you, Calvin. We'll see what happens in summer, but every year the plants grow and the garden gets prettier 😊
You have an amazing diversity of trees and plants across the property! So great to see it continuing to develop.
Thank you 😉 Yes, that's what we aim for - diversity. We have enough space for it, so we'll see how it continues 😊
I can only wish for so many flowers... that birds eat ticks, so rather cover your seeds and leave them. Your face when you talk about clouds made my day😊❤ and Tommy's smile.. I brought a few more planters . Your garden are like my bonsai trees never ending 😂
We'll see if the birds will be back again 😁 Yes, work in the garden never ends. Your bonsai trees must be amazing 😊
Wow, spring taken possession of every corner of your beautiful farm. An a lot of work, always, but it's worth it, right?

Thank you, Liliana. Yes, it's definitely worth it 😊 Great to hear about petunias, no spirits can reach us now 😁
Wow the thunderstorm so beautiful good to see you lovely couple enjoy your life good luck
Thank you, glad you liked it 😉
Very amazing and relaxing to watch you work so hard! You are making the world a better place 😅
Thank you. Luckily it can be relaxing for us in the garden too, at least from time to time, when the work is done for a minute 😁
You both are becoming quite the country gardeners. Congratulations!
Thanks 😉
Wonderful to see your garden! 👍👍
Glad you liked it, thank you 😉
Thank you for sharing all your garden discoveries with us. Regards, Peter and Roy
Thank you guys, glad you liked it 😉😊

I love flowers, my favorite is Roses. You have a beautiful yard.
Thank you, Jay. Roses can be very beautiful 😊
I love all your unique choices of planters and plant holders...what a novel idea to actually put them to good use. Your country house is pretty amazing and turning into a nice retreat.
Thank you. We like to put a new life into old things 😊

So lovely !!
Thank you 😉
Enjoyed watching 😊lovely veg you are growing .
Thank you, Oliver 😉
You can germinate the birch from Mature Seeds too. In moist Potting Mix, it is easy to do!!
We don't need more right now, but good to know for the future 😊😉

No need to send pictures, we can imagine well grown weeds in the garden since it happens quite often in our garden too. It's a constant battle 😁
