The fire was nice surprise with the "small wood parts" to get it started. We call it kindling in English. Sorry, Peter, you are so sweet....I can see why Tommy picked you for his husband. Your great as a twosome.
Haha, we’re glad our dynamic comes through; it’s fun to watch it back 😁
I just love you guys, especially when you kid back and forth with each other. Seriously, you have become so natural in you videos. I think you are always honest about things. Can't wait to see how the pie turns out.
Haha, glad you enjoy our back-and-forth! Tommy and his jokes, always fun being with him in the kitchen 😀😁
Halloween is very big in America! We have 300 to 400 children who come to our door for candy on Halloween night. They all dress up in some kind of costume. It usually lasts about 3 hours! Then everyone turns off their lights to let the children know there is no more candy to be had. It's quite spectacular! You would love it, Peter!!
Oh wow, that’s incredible! Peter would absolutely love to see that level of Halloween spirit (I mean all the candy) in person someday 😀
I bet you could fit a small bathroom behind the door of the storage area - as if you haven't thought of that already. Armchair remodeler here. 🙃 The cemetary was beautiful with the candles at night but also in the day with the vases of flowers amongst the autumn leaves.
Haha, love the armchair remodeling idea! But for real, we don't know where all the pipes are, we would need to destroy the whole yard in the process probably. We'll see in the future, but we think the houses are in such bad condition, that it would be easier to just build new ones (in some cute old-fashioned style maybe). And yes, the cemeteries here are very pretty, especially in autumn 😊
There are no kids in my neighborhood, just a bunch of old retired folks. Thank God my nieces and nephews stop by for treats. Greetings from NYC.
Glad to hear your nieces and nephews stop by for treats! Greetings to NYC 😉🍂
Nice Halloween video with cute decor and tasty-looking pumpkin & cheese pizza. Happy celebration and thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked the Halloween vibes and our pie-thank you for joining us! 😊
Watching you carve out the pumpkin and making it into a jack-o- lantern. It's looking very promising, Peter. I love Halloween, too, so always enjoy watching your Halloween video. Loved the shirts!
Halloween spirit is alive and well here, thanks to you all watching and celebrating with us 😊
You could cut the butter int the flour with to talble knives. I learned from my mother. Easier on your thumbs. Love your spooky pumpkin carving
I might try it once I am tired of working out while making dough 😁 Thanks 😉🎃
Jack-o-Lantern is so good!!!! BOO.
Yay, thanks
I loved it! Thanks.
Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed it 😊
Looking perfectly halloweenish and delicious. Enjoy the spooky night!
Thank you! We certainly had fun making it all come together 😊
10:05 how sweet of you to say, Tommy !
23:25 I need to try this new recipe !
Hopefully the recipe is a success for you if you try 😉
Tommy is always very sweet 😂
The little cottage is really festive looking with all your Halloween decorations and the bedrooms are very nice. It all turned out beautifully because it is so cozy. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻👻🎭!! Trick or Treat time, YAY.
Many thanks. We also liked the decorations and cozy feel they made in the small cottage! It’s all about those details 😊
Happy Halloween guys!
Thank you 🎃
Gotta say, that was some excellent jack-o-lantern carving! Awesome job!
Aww, thank you. It definitely added to the atmosphere 😊
I am quite sure that the 14 seconds between 3:52 and 4:06 is the longest time Peter has ever been on camera without smiling or laughing. A new side of you we haven't seen before!! 😀 I like it.
I don't think you have shown us the little guest house before either. It was also new to me. Very nice.
Haha, you noticed! Peter does bring a new intensity to Halloween while carrying wood 😂 Glad you liked the little guest house. We showed it in the past, but it was probably more than 2 years ago 😀
Cute 🦇🕸🕷That recipe looks interesting.. I love anything with Cheese :) Peter: Keep your onions in a frig. B4 slicing/chopping you WON'T have an issue with the 'fumes' making your eyes water. Tommy: place your Cheese in the Freezer B4 grating. makes it easier.
Thank you! Nice tips for handling onions and cheese-we shall try that out next time (mainly the onion) 😁
What a perfect Halloween! Beautiful decorations, the scrumptious pie and even that demon from hell, ghastly spider made a great video!❤❤ 🧙
Haha, that spider really did complete the look! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊😁
Wow, that was such a fun episode! The pumpkin looked well carved, a masterpiece! Sometimes I will cut the top off with a jagged pattern, so the top sits nicely and won't fall off easily. I look forward to making your version of the savory pumpkin pizza!
Happy to hear you liked it. Luckily the top held nicely on this pumpkin, but you are right, it could be tricky sometimes 😁 Good luck with the pie if you're gonna try (but don't expect pizza as it's made with a completely different type of dough) 😉
Hello There Tommy and Peter , Hope you are Both well , Great video , Happy Halloween , Your Pie looked Mega tasty , And WOW yes your Home looks really cosy with your candle lights , Great looking pumpkin you carved , nice and spooky looking LOL 👻, very enjoyable to watch , loved it all , Great humour , so Thank you for sharing , Keep up your Great work , Take care Tommy and Peter , 🌟🌟👍👍
Many thanks, Paul 😉 So great that you liked our Halloween video. It was fun for us, and of course, eating the pie was the best part, yummy 😁
Tommy you are the sweetest... 😊tuff luck see you next time ... I love your decorations 😍. We are also not Halloween following country, but I like seeing others' decorate and that pie looks like a pizza yummiest 🎉
Thank you! 😁 Almost like a pizza with all the cheese, but the dough is completely different 😉
Hi sweeties. Here in my country the celebration of Halloween is not very rooted either, attempts have been made but with very few results.
More solemn celebrations such as All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day do exist but they are traditions that are gradually being lost.
Guys, I loved the decoration, the atmosphere, the t-shirts and what to say about that delicious pie: amazing!!!! And a real spider on the wall??!!!! So convenient
The Halloween's spirit flashed across the screen. Thanks for all the dedication.
The assist guy shone today. Congrats Tommy.
"Witches cackle, ghosts boo!!!!, Happy Halloween to you two".
Hi Liliana 😊 It’s so interesting how traditions vary around the world. And yes, that real spider was too perfect, right? 😁 So glad you enjoyed everything, including my "assist guy," haha! ❤️
What a fun, cozy video, guys!!! Thanks for sharing your traditions. Happy Halloween!!! 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤
Thank you! We loved sharing our traditions with you all 😊
I Love you guys! Peter, I think you would be fun to cook with. You have such good ideas. I read somewhere that Jack O' Lanterns (Carved Pumpkins) originated in Ireland, where they used to carve turnips! Kind of small for carving, I think. Also, "Dia de las Muretos" or Day of The Dead is becoming a custom here in the U. S., brought by Mexican immigrants. People have parties, and decorate graves in cemeteries, etc., on November 3, All Souls Day. Love your vlogs, can't wait until Thursdays for the new ones! Also loved your cemetery video. Beautiful and Haunting. Love, Tom
Thank you, Tom! Peter would definitely enjoy trying turnip carving-though it sounds tricky (ours are always quite small) 😁 And it’s interesting to hear how traditions are blending in the US. Happy to hear you also liked the cemetery video - that one was very different to our normal vlogs 😊 See you next time 😉
I love all your videos as you know guys...but I especially love the 'At Home with Tommy and Peter' ones. I love to see you cook and then try some of the recipes myself...not always successfully but that's half the fun lol...and how lovely to have a Halloween video on Halloween. Great job guys! ❤❤
Thank you, Jeff 😊 It’s wonderful to know you enjoy the “At Home” videos; they feel so simple to us most of the time, and we often feel they might be kinda boring. So it's nice to hear you like them 😊 Luckily we like Halloween, so we could enjoy it for longer, while filming in advance 😀
Hi Tommy & Peter, your videos always make my day. I will make this dish and call it T&P Pie. 🥧. Keep it up, Pete (Washington DC)
Thank you so much, Pete! Hope you enjoy making the T&P Pie - we definitely approve of the name 😁😀
I enjoyed watching the preparation for your spooky dinner guys. I'd love to see you cook or bake something with that wood stove. 🙂
Thank you, glad you liked it 😉 That wood oven takes a very long time to heat up to a suitable baking temperature (if ever), so it wouldn't be very practical to really bake in it. But sometimes we use the stove top for making mulled wine in winter when we want to enjoy the cozy atmosphere by the fire in the cottage 😁
We always enjoy watching all your videos. This one was great!!! The pumpkin savory pie looked delicious, we took note of the recipe and will try to make one. We just would like to mention one thing. Yes, indeed Halloween is highly celebrated here in the USA. However, the origin of halloween is not from the USA -- it is from IRELAND. One of us have an Irish background. Lots of things were introduced to halloween here including treat or trick for kids. We did love your pumpkin carving!!! 🤩🤩
Happy Autumn guys! Cheers. ♥♥
Thank you! We've heard about Halloween originating in Ireland. It's so fascinating how traditions evolve and nowadays it feels like it's the biggest in the US (or maybe just the most commercial). And so glad you enjoyed the pie and pumpkin carving. Cheers to a beautiful autumn 😊😉
Happy Halloween 🎃 Awesome jack-O-lantern carving and decorations. Yummy recipes!
Thank you, glad you liked our creations 😁 Happy Halloween 😉
That pie looks delicious 😊 Happy Halloween from sunny northwestern Minnesota ❤
Thanks for joining us from Minnesota! That pie was delicious indeed 😊
Now I will make Brambovák for dinner!
Enjoy making the Bramborák! Such a classic, tasty choice 😁😊
You can roast any hard squash pumpkins butternut squash picnic squash seeds and eat them as a snack
We were saying in the video that we tried eating the seeds, but they are not good. The shells are too hard and it's all woody and chewy, we don't like that. There are other kinds of pumpkins specially grown for seeds and those are better.
@tommyandpeter there are UA-cam videos on how to remove the shell from the seed
Hi lovely couple happy halloween
Hi, thank you. Happy Halloween 😉😊
@tommyandpeter thank you
I must have been around 19 and living in Athens GR as a student when, shock horror, I was offered a piece of SWEET pumpkin pie. To that innocent country bumpkin from the south of GR (pun intended) pumpkin pies had always been a (very) savoury thing, cheese and all. I now know it varies from region to region though.
Haha, so interesting, sweet innocent boy from the south discovering the world 😂😁 Pumpkin recipes really do vary across regions and tastes. I just baked a sweet bundt cake made of pumpkins 😊
Such a great video, guys. Thank you !
Thank you, so glad you liked it 😉
Happy Halloween 🎃 the pie looks delicious 😋
Thank you! Glad you liked the pie-it’s one of our favorites 😊
Hi guys! Love this video! I’m going to have to watch again so I can write down the recipe of the pie. It looks delicious! Happy Halloween!
Thank you, Rob! Hope you enjoy making it (and eating it) as much as we did 😁
You have done a great job. Well done. In Australia some observe Halloween and a few buy some very expense decorations. Overall Its not widely celebrated here though.
Thank you 😊 Interesting to hear how Halloween varies in Australia.
ALWAYS enjoy your videos!!
Thank you, makes us happy to hear that 😊😉
Hi, liked it , allthough in my country it is not really a thing either. But you are definately my favorite monsters 😅.
We like it, because it is one more reason to decorate and with the pumpkins it goes hand in hand with autumn 🍂😊 Haha, not sure if we should take it as a compliment 😀
@tommyandpeter Please do, I know you are just sheep in wolves clothes , if that makes sense to you.
Happy Halloween, guys!! I love your shirts. I think it should be Halloween all year around. Your pumpkin pie looks delicious. I have to make it some day. Thank you for sharing your personal life with us. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in your area. Hugs and love from Dunlap,Ill.🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you 😊 Haha, year-round Halloween would be very interesting! We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here, but we know of it mainly from American movies 😁
i think the tool to cut butter in flour is called a pastry cutter (if that would even work here) but i think i would like to try that recipe but i would probably have to cut down on the cheese (i don't digest cheese well), but that wood oven could you bake it in there, is that a oven to the right of the fire and is that a stovetop to cook on, you have to use that now, my great-grandmother loved hers
Thanks for the tip. That wood oven takes a very long time to heat up to a suitable baking temperature (if ever), so it wouldn't be very practical to really bake in it. But we sometimes use the stove top for making mulled wine in winter 😁
LOVED THIS!
Glad to hear, thanks 😉 Nice to see you in the comments again 😊
@@tommyandpeter OMG....you are so sweet and thoughtful remembering me. Thank you so much. Life has gotten busy so not on UA-cam as much. Really glad you have kept up on your weekly Vlogs for so long. Peters very first line in this Video had me laughing me so hard. You boys both have such a great sense of humors. :-)
Keep onions in the refrigerator. No tears.
Thanks for the tip, we'll try it 😉

Love this video!! Do you need to peel the pumpkin skin?
Hi Jay, we are glad you liked the video, thanks 😉 Depends on the type of pumpkin - we use a Hokkaido pumpkin (apparently sometimes called 'Red kuri squash' in English) and you don't have to peel that one, that is the main advantage. It also has a different consistency, it's less watery. I just cut it in half, remove the guts and woody imperfections on the peel, then I bake it for maybe 1 hour on 180 °C 😊🎃
Pumpkin pizza
Haha, might be, although pizza is made of a completely different type of dough 😁
Peter, you are so pitiful when cooking onions....it akes me laugh.
I always have a very unique reaction to onions 😁😂
