    First off, the Cradle Dunk was Doctor J's (Julius Erving) move. It wasnt Jordan's. And the fadeaway J was Jordan's move.

      +Von Flores Its Jordan's dunk in 2k and also Kobe perfected the fade away and used it more often than jordan that was its kobe's move

      +Briana Page if you look at ABA highlights Julius was doing it for years before Jordan got in the league, and the people at 2K are dumb af

      +Cosmalik I'm not saying dr j didn't invent it. All I'm saying is that Jordan is more known for doing it than dr j. It's kinda like how Jordan is more known for dunking from the free throw line even though everybody knows that dr j was the first to do it.

      +Nicholas Ritson mutombos finger wag isn't a game move. i hope you know what i mean when i say: it doesn't get the job done. he doesn't get 2 points or something through that finger wag. it's the same with LeBron's chalk toss or Wade's pull-ups on the rim. they're rather rituals.

      Allen Iverson doesn't even have the best crossover. Tim Hardaway or had a better one. AI's was basic but it was effective, I guess he just knew when to get his defenders. Too many people use the crossover though. Derrick Rose's change hand layup or windmill layup should be on here.

    * 17 out of the 50 All-time Greats played within MJ's era.
    * Kobe played more Seasons amounting to 200+ more games
    Phil Jackson:
    "One of the biggest differences between the two stars from my perspective was Michael's superior skills as a leader.. Though at times he could be hard on his teammates, Michael was masterful at controlling the emotional climate of the team with the power of his presence. Kobe had a long way to go before he could make that claim. He talked a good game, but he'd yet to experience the cold truth of leadership in his bones, as Michael had (Jackson noted the "pronounced" difference in their accuracy, Jordan shooting almost 50% - an "extraordinary figure" - while Bryant had been at 45%). No question, Michael was a tougher, more intimidating defender. He could break through virtually any screen and shut down almost any player with his intense, laser-focused style of defense."

      Really, how about Kareem (the true GOAT), who retired in 1988, Isiah Thomas, the 2nd best PG of all time, and a killer competitor, Moses Malone, 3 x MVP, led 76ers to the 1983 Championship. Or how about Dr H, the 1981 MVP, or or Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon or Patrick Ewing. All of those players were in the prime of their career in the 80s,

    Man, your ranking is the most bogus I’ve ever seen on the internet.
    You attribute the signature of the fadeaway to Kobe while it is a signature move from Jordan.
    You attribute Peter Maravich's no look pass to Magic, You attribute the Dunk cradle to Jordan when it is a signature move by Julius Irving.
    Jordan just perfected it with his unique Hang Time.
    But he does not bear his signature.
    You have no knowledge of the history of basketball.
    What I said is very easy to verify in addition.
    You invented moving signatures for people who don't have one.
    Kobe doesn't have one, and neither does Magic.
    Classification that does not even exist.

Not to mention the killer cross from Tim Hardaway and more recently Derone Williams. The waving finger by Matombo, or the windmill from Dominic Wilkins or the Iverson cross.

    Funny to see people saying that the fadeaway jumpshot BELONGS to Michael Jordan... MJ certainly had one of the smoothest fadeaways and one of the best - if not the best - BUT many players were great at hitting fadeways before Jordan was even in the league to begin with... Talking about Wilt, Oscar, Rick Barry, Larry Bird, etc... Plus, Dr J was doing craddle dunks before Jordan came around, Magic was definitely not the first to constantly make no-look passes, Pistol Pete was doing - what people now call - the Hakeem fake in the 70's, Archie Clark was hitting defenders with the shake-n-bake before Jamal Crawford was even born... Why don't you "complain" about that also? Every player (or at least the vast majority) got their moves from someone else, most players are influenced by others that came before them as well as those others were by their predecessors.

    • @thepeacekeeper2338
      @thepeacekeeper2338 7 років тому +3

      No one utilised the fadeaway like MJ until MJ... People normally used it from the low post, but MJ revolution called the move and used it off the dribble, high post, low post consistently as a main way of scoring. No one EVER did that until MJ. And Kobe basically took it from MJ, so why is it called Kobes fadeaway, not Mjs fadeaway? That's disrespectful... It wasn't because of Kobe the fadeaway was so popular, it was MJ! Not to mention Kobe never shot over 45% in his later years where he mainly utilised the fade, where MJ did that for all of his later seasons... MJs a better, more consistent and fundamentally better fadeaway shooter than Kobe. Kobes footwork and moves needed by Kobe to execute the move is simply not needed by MJ because he can simply rise up over his defender. That's without account to Kobes over use of skills to execute the fade when it is not needed to get the shot off as a fade creates space in itself

    • @parashit2181
      @parashit2181 7 років тому

      I agree about the craddle dunk. But fadeaway J is different, Dirk 1 leg fadeaway is more likely an oldschool fadeaway than Jordan's. Most of fade away was used to change the direction backward before Jordan change this style to the left right backward until he found space. Kobe copy that moves from Jordan without a doubt.

    The dream shake is the most awesome in my opinion, it's amazing how a tall guy like that could move with such quickness and fluidity. KAT is somehow similar with his approach, he have some explosive and quick feet on the post, not as near as fluid and skilled as Olajuwon, but he can change his move and spin that pivot foot like a bullet. Hope he can develope even more, I miss skilled post players. And of course, I have to adress this, the fadeway J is a Michael Jordan move, obviously. Any bball fan knows that.

    The cradle dunk came to the fore thanks to Dr J. MJ's up and under is much more of a trade move. Similarly, Jordan threw up a thousand fadeaways before Kobe even joined the league. For what it's worth, i'd go: 10. Karl Malone's 'pose' dunk 9. Tim Hardaway's Crossover 8. George Gervin finger roll 7. Charles Barkley's two hand monster dunk 6. Dominique's double pump jam 5. Stockton and Malone pick and roll 4. Hakeem's Dream Shake 3. Jabbar's skyhook 2. Magic's no look pass 1. Jordan's double clutch

    You can debate #2- #9, but there's no doubt that the Sky Hook is the #1 signature move of all time. The Sky Hook propelled Kareem/Lew to 6 MVP's and 19 All Star selections (NBA records) as well as his untouchable #1 spot on the NBA career scoring list. Aditionally, from an artistic perspective, the Sky hook is the only move on this list that has NEVER been successfully duplicated by ANY other NBA player. The GOAT, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and the Sky Hook.

Nice vid man! :) Also, the Cradle Dunk wasn't really MJ's singature move, it was more of a signature move of Julius Erving, the Doctor, and Kobe's fadeaway is something MJ came up with.
