Or Magic’s version of the sky hook against the 85’ Celtics to seal the 6th game on the finals? And I’m a Celtics since 74’. That was incredible and heart breaking all at once.

Drew Yang well i thought so too, but many top play videos have kobes 81 point game and they show his last few shots like this one. A lot of them say what i just said. No clear cut definition of a play in basketball which is why you have some buzzer beaters and stuff like tmac and kobes highlights. I agree with you tbh that it shouldn't be a play but a performance but im just saying the reasoning behind putting it in this video and many others
Amazing that since the video was uploaded there have been 4-5 moments that would make this list ( Lebron's block on Iggy, Kyrie's finals three, Kawhi's game 7 buzzer, Lillard sending the Thunder right into a rebuild from almost half court)
TMac for me was one of the most explosive scorers in the game. Combination of length, skill, athleticism and pure talent made him a deadly scorer. Such a shame injuries cut off his career and the fact that when healthy he wasnt as motivated as the likes of KOBE and MJ. If he had that Mamba mentality he would’ve have been one of the all Time greats. respect to the Black Mamba! rIP KOBE
pretty disrespectful to say he wasn't as motivated as Kobe or MJ. You're looking for a flaw if comparing mentality to those two psychos. TMac's injury is the result of a terrible landing habit where all his weight is entirely on his left foot. If it weren't for this we all might've been treated to a rivalry for the ages (T-Mac vs Kobe).
The way Jordan ended his bulls career after a highlight reel and list of achievements like no other is truely amazing. Absolutely class and deserves it spot at no 2
Fun fact: If T-Mac played the whole 48 minutes with that performance, he would have scored 1134 (yes one thousand one hundred thirty four) points in one game...
Thats more of a numbers person mindset, but ball players know thats nonsense. Even MJ nor Kobe never scored consistently for each qrtr, let alone for each minute.
The crazy thing about the McGrady sequence is that it was against a great defensive team playing tough defense on him throughout. The Spurs were 3rd in the league in defense, and Bowen and Duncan are some of the best defenders of all time. Nothing could stop McGrady at the end of that game.
And the spurs scored 2 on each of the last 4 or 5 possessions (except where they lost the ball at the end.) I think before tmacs outburst, yao also got a 2 anOne. The spurs offense was clicking.
Absolutely! And how can you not have Dr. J's iconic acrobatic floating "lay up" going from one side of the basket, behind the backboard to the other side in midair while switching the ball to the other hand and making the shot in a clutch playoff (The finals!)moment vs. the Lakers. I think this was Magic's rookie season AND Daryll Dawkins was with Philly. ICONIC! They still show that highlight every year come playoffs time!
Then show Bird's game-winning 3 attempt after LAL inexplicably single-team d against him with Worthy. Bird left Worthy in the front row, easily getting open, and missed that game-winner by the slimmest of margins. As a Laker fan as a kid, that shot somehow haunts me, even though it didn't go in.
For Jordan to do that in Game 6 that was amazing Mr King. Tracy Mcgrady, what you did in that game now I realise how beautiful player you have always been. I salute you.
It hurts to see Reggie Miller's dismantling of the Knicks as a Knicks fan, but he totally deserves being on this list. It was unbelievable to watch it live.
I remember as a kid lamenting that we were all robbed a classic Lakers-Celtics final that year. In hindsight, I believe that even more so. It's a shame we don't have those memories from that finals matchup that was destined to be a classic, but that never happened. I don't think the Rockets even appeared in the finals -- just took the West Conf trophy and called it a season.
Tony Montana But you have to admit it was an incredible shot. 0.9 seconds left on with series clinching 3. And, as the commentator said, the first series win for Portland in 14 years.

There would have been no need to put up Kobe Bryant. Bryant really only scored 74 if you take away the tree pointer as the great Wilt Chamberlain wasn't allowed any back in that day.
Great variety and nice curated list, imo I think moving number 1 to the intro 10 spot does good for video flow. I figure it no dishonor to it, I mean top ten is top ten. Rare air no matter what, I’d say. But all in all, still a good list video to watch. Thanks for the upload.

These are great. Thank you for bringing back the player I consider the "Babe Ruth of Basketball." Wilt was not simply fabulous, but, as did Ruth, he changed the nature of the game. I'd also like to see the play where Wilt and Gene Conley (who also pitched for the Phillies, and played basketball for the Celtics) went for the ball, and got in a tugfest, with Wilt lifting the 225-pound Conley off the floor, and trying to stuff the ball (with Conley hanging on) into the net. Description: Larry Bird shoots with his right hand, misses the shot, jumps to take his own rebound, shoots a second time (this time using his left hand) BEFORE he lands, and makes the second shot. I've never seen anything like it. (It should be noted that Larry Bird is right-handed.) ua-cam.com/video/RwjTw40mfls/v-deo.html
The reason why the incredible play with Bird/Johnson is my favorite is I don't think that we will ever see a team win a game with 3 seconds left and the other team have the ball plus Bird & Johnson knew each other so well as players
@@robertoherrera5957 Nothing about that was easy. Just stealing an inbound pass is difficult and rare, and where he stole it he had to tip toe to stay inbounds, all while locating D.J. and throwing a perfect pass. It may not be #1 in this video, but for degree of difficulty it is at the top. And i should add that I HATE the Celtics, but I have to give credit where credit is due.
I was taking in game 6 of 98 finals at tgi-Friday's in Memphis. My parents had moved us down here 8 years prior, but I was still a die hard bulls fan. Never really doubted that the bulls would make it happen. And that was the end of the era.
You forgot Jerry Wests half court shot to tie a playoff game in the final seconds. If the three point play was in play then it would have been for the win.
I must agree..I'm a New Yorker ..that move to get away from the defense and revert back to rim and dunk on Patrick is top 5.. did u see Patrick's reaction 😅😅😅👀

"On May 5, 1981, Larry Bird followed up his own missed shot in what legendary coach Red Auerbach described as the greatest play he'd ever seen, leading the Boston Celtics to a win over the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the 1981 NBA Finals."
Description: Larry Bird shoots with his right hand, misses the shot, jumps to take his own rebound, shoots a second time (this time using his left hand) BEFORE he lands, and makes the second shot. I've never seen anything like it. (It should be noted that Larry Bird is right-handed.)

That McGrady comeback man! Something that wont happen by another player again. Walking cheat code in that game.
5:35 nothing is impossible with hard work
As a lifetime NBA fan I feel honored to have been able to watch 8 out of 10 of these plays/performances live.
which ones were they and much respect to you 👍
Nice man
I have no words for TMC best of the best of the best!
I just knew it the number one would be t Mac 13 point 35s play
No u didnt jus cause it wasnt 1 play
+BBgamerz261 just shut up
You know I did watched that game. Every Rocket fan left before the end game cos rocket was playing like shit. It was hopeless.
The reason why the incredible play with Bird/Johnson is my favorite is I don't think that we will ever see a team win a game with 3 seconds left and the other team have the ball plus Bird & Johnson knew each other so well as players
Also, even Bird said that was NOT an easy layup from DJ.
In the NBA, 3 seconds isn't always continuous. The opposing team could commit a turnover just by inbounding the ball.
I remember when a friend told me about TMac doing that the day after. I just thought he was exaggerating. Still hard to believe even watching it now!
And the blazzers win the series for the first time in fourteen years!!!!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
You mean brazzers
How about Ralph Sampson shot against Lakers?
This is what greatness is this is magic. I would have loved to been apart of this being at that game
I was taking in game 6 of 98 finals at tgi-Friday's in Memphis. My parents had moved us down here 8 years prior, but I was still a die hard bulls fan. Never really doubted that the bulls would make it happen. And that was the end of the era.
Amazing video. Needs update with GA34 Block on Last year finnals imo
Damn 3 of those were on my Spurs
Thank you for balancing the music and game audio
Ikr
Some I’d seen, others I’d not, all amazing plays. I love basketball 🏀
You forgot Jerry Wests half court shot to tie a playoff game in the final seconds. If the three point play was in play then it would have been for the win.
All I see is the Spurs choke a lot
This is by far the best comment on this video. Lol.
lmao no
really? 5 'chips in 15 years is choking a lot? how many does your team have?

Love the choice of music from Good Bad and Ugly showdown at the end…funky version
7:02 like when the computer game cheats at the end to steal the win from you.
That was NBA Jam in the 4th quarter lol
@@vincewarren1271 haha
If a list doesn't include MJ dusting a Knicks double team on the baseline on his way to dunking over Patrick Ewing, it's not a real list.
Facts.
Kelly Lowery that’s a good play, but it doesn’t do much for providing a game winning finish like the others on this list do
@@davidscarlatescu5822 your list isn't titled "best game winners."
I must agree..I'm a New Yorker ..that move to get away from the defense and revert back to rim and dunk on Patrick is top 5.. did u see Patrick's reaction 😅😅😅👀
Dunk un Motumbo and the finger. Jordan got a t for that for taunting too lol.
Excellent choice of background music
Music by Ennio Morricone ❤️😓R.I.P
2019 still watching 💯
Great list! It is hard not to leave anybody out
Best play ends with my favorite player Tmac 💪🏾💪🏾
