McGrady totally deserving of the top spot. Most incredible comeback by one player
oh yeah, that's right, also this is the highlight only in his career.so he can blowing it in his life.
Except that it wasn't 1 play like the title says.
i kinda hate that it is though. the list say top 10 PLAYS of all time. a comeback isnt a play
Not sure if it counts as one "play" or not (though I note you DID include it), but NOBODY can top Reggie Miller's 8 points in about as many seconds - and *2* steals - vs the Knicks.
Should be ranked a LOT higher than 8'th.
You left off the REST of the play though, where he stole the inbound pass AGAIN and scored the winning bucket.
Reggie Miller says Hi
7:02 man i really laugh every time i see his face lol
Best thing is that we all would do the same face, because that was really unrealistic, impossible to imagine happening
He was like, "Ain't this about a bitch?" 😑
😂😂😂
@MANCHESTER UNITED we understand that You are a soccer fan, but both sports are great. Stop hating
How you dare calling it soccer with that profile picture... It's football!!!
It's the shape of his head that gets me 😂
I knew that had to be #1. As a moment in time, Jordan stealing at the defensive end then nailing the winning shot to seal his 6th championship is pure storybook. But McGrady’s unreal streak of insane shots is unparalleled.
Did you see Kobe's last game?
Or LeBron's 28 out of the last 30 points vs. the Pistons?
Or Magic’s version of the sky hook against the 85’ Celtics to seal the 6th game on the finals? And I’m a Celtics since 74’. That was incredible and heart breaking all at once.
@@kevinjohnson3119 How are those plays? It's best plays and not performances. Jordan's is clearly #1. Championship winning steal and shot. He missed that, then it goes to a game 7 in Utah, which the Jazz would've easily won, since Pippen was injured and Rodman and Jordan were worn out. And as the other guy said,Magic's hook should also be in this list.
@@kevinjohnson3119 Yeah that will never be done again for sure.
Gave it his all. This list needs to be updated for sure blocked by James isn't even on here.
Had he dunked on green wow... Would have been best play ever since it was game 7 big comeback and all. Sucks green fouled him a what if scenario.

At least we can pray for kawahis buzzer beater earlyer this session

Jeez why so many thumbs up in this comment

That sequence by T-Mac is one of the greatest end-of-game performances by any athlete in any sport, period. I was getting nervous as I watched this because I didn't see it, but of course it was at number 1, as it should be!
You must not watch alot of sports then.
You don't even know any other sport bro stop talkin
I think T-Mac should be in the Top 10 list, but whether it is the number one -- different people will have different point of view. 😄 But I agree that it is absolutely MIRACLE. By the way, what happened to "100 points Chamberlain" ?
No chance in hell that's the best play in nba history
Jordan's is far greater. nba finals. doesn't compare at all.
Amazing that since the video was uploaded there have been 4-5 moments that would make this list ( Lebron's block on Iggy, Kyrie's finals three, Kawhi's game 7 buzzer, Lillard sending the Thunder right into a rebuild from almost half court)
Could add Giannis's block in this year's finals too.
Too much recency bias
@@jordanjenkins1671 not really
A block with 2 minutes remaining? A shot with 40 seconds remaining?
Not comparable with this plays

Fun fact: If T-Mac played the whole 48 minutes with that performance, he would have scored 1134 (yes one thousand one hundred thirty four) points in one game...
Or more, in case of overtime.
@@hera9191 1134 points even in one SEASON is equal to an elite performance of 13.8 points per game... That is how absurd that God-like 33 seconds is.
Still would haven't topped Wilt as he had no three-pointer. LOL
@@hera9191 I doubt that game would go to OT lol
Thats more of a numbers person mindset, but ball players know thats nonsense. Even MJ nor Kobe never scored consistently for each qrtr, let alone for each minute.
I was 18 or 19, and watched that tmac game live. Living in Houston, we KNEW he and Yao would get us a title. Shame it fell short

I hate when they add moments into a list of top plays. Ya I get Kobe's 81 was incredible, I watched the game live on TV, but it's a game, not a play.
thank you
ya I agree they should've put Kobe's clutch shot on Phoenix in 2006 in the playoffs
And if the 81 is on the list then why not the 100?
Mookie Peck we demand refund
It's live coverage! not live! when you're at home 😂😂
It hurts to see Reggie Miller's dismantling of the Knicks as a Knicks fan, but he totally deserves being on this list. It was unbelievable to watch it live.
0:32 sound like a good song XD
I can 100% agree with the #1 choice
LoSD .
Fuck yea!! Incredible performance by mcgrady.... simple unbelievable
You can agree that scoring a lot of meaningless points in an early regular season game is the most historic moment in NBA history? They were 9-11 at that point and finished 7th in the conference. They lost 4-1 to the Lakers in the first round. "Greatest" means "greatest" and scoring a bunch of meaningless points in a short amount of time doesn't mean much when your team has a losing record and is heading for a first round exit.
7:03 says it all
The way Jordan ended his bulls career after a highlight reel and list of achievements like no other is truely amazing. Absolutely class and deserves it spot at no 2
nah he didn't
Not that play though. He pushed off. He's the GOAT though.
@@Boomslang55 watch that play and watch Byron Russell and ignore Jordans hand and Jordan himself . . . Exactly
Greatest ever. Not even close.
He pushed off because that is what veterans do. Defender should've been squared instead of beaten.
Nice to see Maestro Morricone making his mark on sport here.👌
RIP Ennio.
It would be funny if tony Parker hit that half court shot after the comeback

Watching T-Mac win it all by himself still gives me chills
Know what he couldn't win all by himself? A championship.
Killed it mac Grady. Respect !!! The guy was blessed this night
Great variety and nice curated list, imo I think moving number 1 to the intro 10 spot does good for video flow. I figure it no dishonor to it, I mean top ten is top ten. Rare air no matter what, I’d say. But all in all, still a good list video to watch. Thanks for the upload.
This is one of my older videos I did miss a lot, I know. I will make a better one later on in my 'UA-cam Career'
wtf, why is kobe 81 on here?
+Tom Kramer since there isnt a specific definition for a play in basketball like there is in football for example, anything can be put up basically. so kobes shot that gave him the 2nd most points in a game in nba history is here. maybe he didnt put wilts here because it was so old the quality would be bad, too old to be counted, or bc they lost the game idk
+Dave Wright kobe's 81 isnt a play, it would be a performance.
Drew Yang well i thought so too, but many top play videos have kobes 81 point game and they show his last few shots like this one. A lot of them say what i just said. No clear cut definition of a play in basketball which is why you have some buzzer beaters and stuff like tmac and kobes highlights. I agree with you tbh that it shouldn't be a play but a performance but im just saying the reasoning behind putting it in this video and many others
+Dave Wright i get that but why that specific game? so many others that could of been chosen
The crazy thing about the McGrady sequence is that it was against a great defensive team playing tough defense on him throughout. The Spurs were 3rd in the league in defense, and Bowen and Duncan are some of the best defenders of all time. Nothing could stop McGrady at the end of that game.
And the spurs scored 2 on each of the last 4 or 5 possessions (except where they lost the ball at the end.) I think before tmacs outburst, yao also got a 2 anOne. The spurs offense was clicking.
Rings: 0
This is very awesome and cool way to go great job recording it and making it
The Ralph Sampson crazy buzzer beater from the 1986 Western Conference finals eliminating the Lakers was an amazing play, worthy of this list.
I remember as a kid lamenting that we were all robbed a classic Lakers-Celtics final that year. In hindsight, I believe that even more so. It's a shame we don't have those memories from that finals matchup that was destined to be a classic, but that never happened. I don't think the Rockets even appeared in the finals -- just took the West Conf trophy and called it a season.
@@67L48 You could argue that the death of Len Bias in '86 also robbed us of more Lakers/Celtics finals into the early 90's.
@@MrBruinman86 The 1989 finals would have been stupendous if Riley didn't blow out the hamstrings of Magic and Scott.
rip Kobe man, shit really hurts
Roy G Biv Fuck off. Don't assume things that haven't been proved
Roy G Biv that was 17 years ago, move on, he wasnt guilty of it, move tf on
7:02 my nigga like: I thought we was up by 8 a minute ago
Rajuhn Hamilton 12, even worse 😂
Magic Johnsons hook against Boston with the clock running down & second left in the game was one of the top ten "plays" of all time.
the famous "Baby-Hook"..!
Absolutely! And how can you not have Dr. J's iconic acrobatic floating "lay up" going from one side of the basket, behind the backboard to the other side in midair while switching the ball to the other hand and making the shot in a clutch playoff (The finals!)moment vs. the Lakers. I think this was Magic's rookie season AND Daryll Dawkins was with Philly. ICONIC! They still show that highlight every year come playoffs time!
Jordan’s shot against Cleveland too.
Then show Bird's game-winning 3 attempt after LAL inexplicably single-team d against him with Worthy. Bird left Worthy in the front row, easily getting open, and missed that game-winner by the slimmest of margins. As a Laker fan as a kid, that shot somehow haunts me, even though it didn't go in.
So happy to see my man DWade kickin it off.. legend
For Jordan to do that in Game 6 that was amazing Mr King. Tracy Mcgrady, what you did in that game now I realise how beautiful player you have always been. I salute you.
7:02 when the bell rings and the teacher says, "I dismiss you, not the bell".
As a spurs fan, this is hard to watch but these performances were amazing!
Mano, que vídeo top!!! Sensacional!!! Esse último do TMac é o melhor!!!
7:03 Me when I studied so hard for the test, but my friend winged it and still higher than mine scores
I been there, man.
XD
Why is Kobe's 81 point game on here? The title says greatest PLAYS in NBA history, not games. And if Kobe's 81 is on here, then where's Wilt's 100?
Sadly no video of Wilt's game exists, only audio.
There’s no footage of it
Because it didn’t happen lmao
Exactly right!
I mean, you could make a top 10 that's all Jordan, Kobe or LeBron and it would be hard to argue they weren't the best 10 plays.
That calmness of coach phil jackson, damn!
Zen Master
EXCELLENT video!!
1:06 I remember being totally stunned watching that.
Why am I in my office cheering for T Mac?? Hahahaha hahahaha man that was incredible.
Amazing video. Needs update with GA34 Block on Last year finnals imo
Great plays and completely anti Spurs selection !
Rip kobe 😞
Wade's meaningless regular season buzzer beater is not one of the 10 best plays in NBA history.
yes it is.
agreed
That's' the first thing I said when I seen it. Nice play. NEVER top ten in the history of the NBA
Meanwhile, Jerry West 60 feet buzzer beater isn't here...
+CHIKIN WINGZ One sent a playoff game into overtime, the was a meaningless regular season game. Go figure
Great video, thx for sharing
Best Compilation ever! Of everything!
#3 is not a play, it was a single game performance
Oidiot
Neither the #1, there are 4 plays...
Great list! It is hard not to leave anybody out
Love the choice of music from Good Bad and Ugly showdown at the end…funky version
tmac is love tmac is life
Anyone else notice that Duncan's shot in this list is nearly identical to the shot he made in the triple overtime game against the Grizzlies.
+Jordan Grant Did he travel on that play too??? Not that they call it in the NBA anyways.
That spurs lakers ending was unreal
TMac! I like this list. Good work
this guy that made the video must not like the spurs lol

Its the same.. if ur a spurs fan , u still hate the #1
this should be called Top 10 game winners
the best shots tend to be clutch game winners
But the video isn't called best shots either. And don't you dare say any of these are real designed plays...
This is what greatness is this is magic. I would have loved to been apart of this being at that game
That McGrady come back was insane!!!!! 💯💯💯
The tmac one is a great call man! That was awesome!
Great list! Totally agree! Especially on #5.
+Shivashriganesh Mahalo cheers buddy :)
Lmao obviously your a Portland and/or Lillard fan
Tony Montana
yup
Tony Montana
But you have to admit it was an incredible shot. 0.9 seconds left on with series clinching 3. And, as the commentator said, the first series win for Portland in 14 years.
☺
This is really a wonderful video.
Some I’d seen, others I’d not, all amazing plays. I love basketball 🏀
2:45 he knew it would go in
Have you heard kareem abdul-jabbar or Julius Erving - Dr. J ??????????
Also honorable mention, R. Miller Bow seconds before ending in in Chicago and Toni Kukoc three points with the buzzer. One of crazyest plays ever
Tha was John Paxton in 1993.... I believe, against the Suns.
I have no words for TMC best of the best of the best!
These are great. Thank you for bringing back the player I consider the "Babe Ruth of Basketball." Wilt was not simply fabulous, but, as did Ruth, he changed the nature of the game. I'd also like to see the play where Wilt and Gene Conley (who also pitched for the Phillies, and played basketball for the Celtics) went for the ball, and got in a tugfest, with Wilt lifting the 225-pound Conley off the floor, and trying to stuff the ball (with Conley hanging on) into the net. Oh, my!
I know Conley as playing for the Milwaukee Braves. Only person to win a World Series and NBA championship.
Damn, I was in my high school years when I watched this game and is still the best clutch moment that I've seen in the last twenty years of watching NBA! I can still remember Duncans reaction on this one! 😂
Duncan was probably letting the little guy tucker himself out so he'd be choke in the playoffs.
Duncan: 5 rings. McGrady: 0.
Tim didn't care. I promise. lol
Awesome list
I remember when a friend told me about TMac doing that the day after. I just thought he was exaggerating. Still hard to believe even watching it now!
#4 I was actually at that game and when that shot went in it was crazy loud and even now as I'm watching it 3 years later I still get chills watching it
Chris Smoove was there too
Great list. Great video. I was there for #2. Unbelievable memory. Glad you included the steal by Larry Bird. If there were more older footage of games available, who knows how this list would look but thanks for going back as far as you did.
There would have been no need to put up Kobe Bryant. Bryant really only scored 74 if you take away the tree pointer as the great Wilt Chamberlain wasn't allowed any back in that day.
TMac for me was one of the most explosive scorers in the game. Combination of length, skill, athleticism and pure talent made him a deadly scorer. Such a shame injuries cut off his career and the fact that when healthy he wasnt as motivated as the likes of KOBE and MJ. If he had that Mamba mentality he would’ve have been one of the all
Time greats. respect to the Black Mamba! rIP KOBE
pretty disrespectful to say he wasn't as motivated as Kobe or MJ. You're looking for a flaw if comparing mentality to those two psychos. TMac's injury is the result of a terrible landing habit where all his weight is entirely on his left foot. If it weren't for this we all might've been treated to a rivalry for the ages (T-Mac vs Kobe).
Nah, Lebron James is better than Kobe and MJ both of them
Mamba had big daddy in his prime during his unstoppable phase for three seasons. McGrady never had that.
Alternate title: best NBA buzzer beaters
poor spurs.
Damn 3 of those were on my Spurs
Excellent choice of background music
Great list
at 7:00 i love how Pop new there was nothing to be mad about when that happened
5:48 Tracey McGrady.
A great demonstration of never giving up.
That McGrady comeback man! Something that wont happen by another player again. Walking cheat code in that game.
They were 9-11 after that game and finished 7th in their conference. No real NBA player would give a flying shit about any of this. The only thing he actually came back to do was lose. Repeatedly.
Great video man, i would change a bird 1 for kobe vs portland ...with 2 crazy buzzerr beaters
amazing video much love .
Old ball hogging ass Kobe Bryant. RIP LAKER GREAT.
I remember the t-mac explosions, and all of Kobe's buzzer beaters, Reggie Miller's legendary splurge against the Knicks.
That T-Mac performance was one the best solo plays in entire sport history.
What did he win for it?
I just knew it the number one would be t Mac 13 point 35s play
No u didnt jus cause it wasnt 1 play
+BBgamerz261 just shut up
You know I did watched that game. Every Rocket fan left before the end game cos rocket was playing like shit. It was hopeless.
I'm just wishing I could've seen these live man
This is a good list. I am partial to the Bird steal and the T-Mac comeback. 🏀
5:35 nothing is impossible with hard work
This highlight reel is definitely especial
Tony Parker receiving two of the greatest threes all time😂
Tony Parker won 5 rings. I doubt he lost any sleep over this.

Thank you for balancing the music and game audio

Imagine if Tmac did in on a game7 in the finals! Damn!
T-Mac teams were alway's flawed, because TMac was a highly inefficient player, who didn't bring much on defensive end.
Inefficient scorers cannot LEAD teams to championships.
@@teufelshunde4 he shot 38% from 3 in 8 attempts in 2003 which is actually the best in that time. He shot 46% too. That's KD type shit. He's not inefficient.
@@teufelshunde4 Wrong
@@hristijandimitrovski8664 He never even won a first round playoff series!
@@johnanderson9765 and what? It doesn't mean that he isn't amazing player, first of all, to pass first round you need to have a good team, you can't play alone. TMac is legendary player and he is champion without ring.
7:00 - Popovich telling Devin Brown not to come back to the locker room 😂😂
Great collection. I would have found a slot for Kyrie's three at the end of Game 7 in the Finals against the Warriors.
Tmac's play was...can't find a word to describe it. Definetely the Nr1 play of entire NBA history so far.
The word you're looking for is "meaningless." "Greatest" "NBA plays of History" means in context. And in the context of the NBA that year, the Rockets finished 7th in their conference and finished 45-37. This bullshit was meaningless. The shots and points only matter if the game mattered or if the team goes on to do something historic. And man, they did not.
