Man, thanks for this. I've never used Nemo as anything but a file explorer. It never occurred to me I could use it to connect to a server. I just tried it with the website I run on a hosting service - was always using Filezilla - and boom, I'm in. One tab my local website files, the other the server. Excellent.
As a significantly more senior senior I find your tutorials really helpful - I just wish I could think as fast as you can talk! The 'K' key in youtube is my saviour. Anyway, over the years I have been using multiple PCs in my home network I have continually run into the issue of not being able to communicate between PCs (a mixture of Windows (now only Win 10) and multiple Linux distros). This tutorial has made a great difference already, but I wonder if you could give a wider view of how to setup secure file access and transfer between PCs on a home LAN - with special emphasis on avoiding making security blunders.
Thanks for watching . So here are some tips: *Firewalls with correct ports Rules is one idea, SSH Server - SSH Client is another idea these use SFTP or secure File transfer protocol in file manager at least for Nemo you can also use Terminal for SSH, Old Windows computers in my book have always been a little buggy when networking, SAMBA for file sharing can be buggy with all computers, I'm not sure how reliable KDE Connect would be in Windows but that would be an option to explore , don't forget the KDE Connect Firewall rules also if using. I have a lot of Video's that cover some Firewall info, SSH, SAMBA and KDE Connect as examples, best of luck. Regards, t
Been watching a lot of your videos and love them, did have question. I have a Mint 22 box and a Windows box that I run servers. When I try to add another ip into the router for the port forwarding they already exist under the other ip. Do I need another router or switch
Thank you for watching. Not sure exactly what you are asking, but generally you cant have the same IP Address on same network it can cause conflicts, Example: if it's a home network with Non static IP Address, this should not be an issue if running DHCP on your Home router which is common . However it sounds like your are working with router tables, maybe and trying to move things around , so this can get complex , switches are very nice two way comms and are now getting cheap vs HUBs from the past which were one way comms , switches can maybe separate those, I am assuming you are using Ethernet. Some times my comments have been screen out by UA-cam, if you see line thru's or may not get this message. However hopefully some of this was helpful. Best Regards, t
Happy New Year to you also. Sorry but I do not use that software, but i did install Kodi main app and the meda kodi package add on without errors, but again not that familiar with this software. Regards, t

I will assume you mean Google Drive ?on the question on solve some problem? with gdrive, and configuration. I would suggest you reach out to Google Support for your specific issue since you just stated some problem, and configuration, since some could be result on your private account, which is something I could not make a video for. Best of Luck, t

Hi, I'm new in LINUX
Just ask a simple Q... is it true that LINUX can't be installed in eMMC ?
I've tried several distros, and they all failed
Need advice, Thank u
I believe eMMC is embedded multimedia card, flash memory... generally intended as a common choice for consumer electronics.
I'm a 70 year old newb and this is well over my head.
