Nice looking miniatures. I love how you don't use washes. I am getting back into miniatures oddly enough with 15mm ww2. I have some Forged in battle and Command Decision French, Poles and Germans coming for early war. Will be using them for Command Decision Test of Battle and maybe giving O Group a whirl. Not sure I will go with any of the plastic infantry but we will see going forward.
Awesome stuff, well explained. I thought I didn’t like multi basing and base labels but it turns out I just don’t like ones that aren’t as neat and clean as yours! Keep up the good work.
@Davies Super Channel Thank you for sharing this video. It is good to see a Tutorial that focused on painting the Type 98 Summer uniforms worn by the Imperial Japanese Army soldiers in the Southern Front (Malaya, Singapore, Borneo, Dutch East Indies, the Philippines and Burma) in the early Pacific War.
You’re welcome. I didn’t realize that was a Type 98 uniform! Thanks for letting me know. There’s a Japanese uniform at the Canadian War museum from the invasion of Hong Kong. I went with people’s colour choices that were consistent with my memory of that.
@@daviessuperchannel The Type 98 uniform was issued to the Imperial Japanese Army in early 1939, to replace the earlier Showa 5 (1930) uniforms. The Type 98 uniforms came in the Summer version, which you have covered and a version for temperate climates, which was in a darker shade of Khaki.
Excellent work, as ever. I've a 2024 project to build a Japanese platoon for Chain of Command. I'd be interested in seeing your minis in context, i.e. on the playing table. You put so much effort into the basing I am presuming your terrain matches. Jungle scatter terrain is an art in itself. Your birch trees were excellent but have you worked on your Pacific terrain yet?
I have the hardest time filming or even photographing my tables. At this point I can't buy the fancy gear to do it properly, a log home is on the horizon. I am working on Pacific terrain. At some point I'll do a video on how I pimp up the MDF Far East buildings from Skytrex and Sarissa. I have a pile of made-in-China palm trees and bamboo that I will likely repaint. There will be some tall, skinny jungle trees, an oil derrick, rocks and some kind of water feature at some point.
Great work! I especially love your bases! 💚

Excellent video. Glad to see you went with the Peter Pig/Eureka mix. Great figures, beautifully painted.
Very cool and nicely painted and excellent basing mate
Great painting and hf in a new year!
Wonderful painting and basing, splendid Japanese units!
Great tutorial!
Another great tutorial, since I'm going to try my hand at painting some converted Japanese troops. As always great music to accompany your videos🤟😂
Been looking forward to this video....

Awesome video but yeah 3min intro is excessive. Should do like 15-30 seconds
really good painting vid, just loose the first 3mins of intro. You nearly lost me which would have been a shame.
