Amazing video. I should watch it before I starting my Ph.D. class. By the Way. Hey Kevin, Would you mind giving another video to talking about how to prepare the figure step by step with detail skills, such as Nature. such as how to prepare the small panel of the figure? how to set the figure size, resolution, file format? how to set the last canvas, the size, resolution? I think one examples from beginning to the ending will be greatly helpful for the frest student and researcher. Tanks.
+Shicheng Guo I will consider it, for sure. I've been meaning to make some more videos for a while, but I've been busy with other things. I will add this to the list.
Thanks for the video, its really helpful. I have one question, when you aligned the art board with grid, how did you selected it. I am not able to do that. Kindly guide me. Thanks.
I don't know - what's the format of bioanalyser graphs? If you can get them exported as svg or eps or maybe even pdf, then probably yes. If you want to send me an example output in one of those formats, I'd be happy to try.
Hi, this is very helpful. May i ask a question, please? When i scale down size of graph exported from prism to AI, the font size changed from desired 8pt to 3 or 4 pt. The it is difficult to make the font size back to 8pt for all. Do you have similar problem? thx
Of course you can ask! No guarantee I'll be helpful though :-) There are a couple of solutions - in my personal workflow, I don't even use the text exported from Prism, I have text styles set in my ai project (you can look at video #9 in this series to see how), and then add axis labels manually. But you can also set the text to be much larger from the beginning in prism, so that when you shrink the graph, the text doesn't get so small. The other option is to just select all of the text and change them manually (you can use the eye dropper to match style between plots). Hope this helps!
Thank you, Kevin. The eyedropper tool is very useful. Also, i found out that the layout size can be adjusted in prism so that no scaling will be needed to fit in AI workplace.
Thanks for your patience and effort. It is nice to learn use of a program with practical examples for the user’s needs.
it's so great which even makes me fall in love with this software!
Wow, I don't have words to say thanks for your time and effort
Thank you Kevin for the wonderful videos. Helped me so much with making my figures for a review:)

You use the artboard tool. it's the little rectangle in the lower left of the tools panel above the hand, or use the keyboard shortcut shift-o
Hi Kevin, I have one question, is it possible to change stroke width for bioanalyser graphs in Illustrator and in general to ungroup them?
