Good question! Notice that I double-click the group to change internal grouped elements. You can see in the top left corner "Layer, " that lets you know you are changing something within a group. Also, sorry about the loud static! Will need to re-record these...
Hey great video, thanks for posting! I was wondering if you knew of a good way to make 3d atomic lattices, e.g. the same graphene sheet but where the atoms are spheres rather than circles?
Yes! What you can do is make your "fake" 3D atoms by placing a small white circle (glare) on a circle with a circular gradient (to approximate depth). I will put this on my list of quick/short videos to post. Thanks for the question!
Thanks Christopher for your NICE tutorial! You did a great job explaining everything! One thing is that the mic sometime makes loud noises, which are pretty scary...
how did you turn the circle into a star at 0:30s?
Hold Alt/Option & click the corner handle to see multiple corner options! Will remember to include this later. Thanks!
@@GutierrezArtSci thank you!!

Oh no! I had no idea. I will take a second listen & try to fix when I get another chance. Thanks.
You need to add the hotkeys for Windows. It is hard to follow if you only have mac users' hotkeys.
He mentions this in Part 2, but it's pretty standard.
What's your object setting alignment setting. objects didn't fit one another when aligned as you have mentioned
I'm having the same problem
I just can't get them to fit together properly
Could you please advise the shortcuts used for Zoom-in/Zoom-out ?
Hi! On my MacBook it's 2-finger pinch to zoom in/out. With a mouse hold down Alt + scroll wheel.
