As per your ISO/Fn change (or no change) problem - please note, that at 4min08sec you are actualy changing/limiting MAXIMUM ALLOWED ISO (note the change in lower right corner), to which the system will still adjust ISO auomatically. In order to change ISO as per your needs, simply switch AutoIso off. Hope this helps, cheers :)
Very good explanation. I just found out that you can out the ISO adjustment on manual mode at the menu and adjust it manually from the fn buttom at the camera
Hi, thank you for your question! I hope I understand it the right way: The light meter cannot be set as such, rather it is a consequence of the light it receives. If you want to change or move the light meter reading via the camera settings, you can: (1) change the aperture to change the size of the "iris" in the lens and hence the amount of light hitting the sensor, (2) change the shutter speed - longer shutter speed means more light and (3) change the ISO setting, i.e. higher ISO means your pictures will appear more exposed. If your reading is "lefty" it is because the camera receives too little light: (1) open the aperture (decrease the f-stop), (2) reduce the shutter speed or (3) crank up the iso. If the reading is to the right, the opposite applies. Let me know if this was helpful. All the best.
Setup menu, 9th item from the top: info display format: select the blue screens in the sub menus named auto/scene/effects and p/s/a/m. That should do it!
Are you saying that you cannot get background blur (?) without zooming in full with your 18-55 kit lens? If that is the case, try to move the subject further away from the background and use a more shallow depth of field (i.e. a lower F-stop number) - that usually works. It may require more light and maybe a tripod to avoid camera shake (shutter speed too long).

Googling a bit, I learned that when the mirror is up, the aperture is locked. There are a few exceptions: (1) If you are shooting with a top modern "E" lens on your camera, then there is a motor built into the lens that controls the aperture, but I have a feeling that the D5600 does not support this functionality. (2) If you have an older lens (non-G) with an physical aperture ring, then you can adjust the aperture by turning the ring, provided the camera is set up for this (i.e. the aperture control via the command dial is off). Hope this helps.
Romain Mounerat In manual mode, I can't change the aperture using the "plus and minus" button when I'm using live view in taking image.. Is there another way ?

Hi Peter, I think it is because the "auto off timers" have been set to "Short". You can change this via the Menu button -> Custom settings menu -> C2: Auto off timers. Changing from short to Normal or Long should help. You can find all the details in the manual page 240.

Hi Joe, it is probably because there is too little light. Try to see if the light meter shows that you are under exposed (way to the minus side (left)) - it needs to be close to the middle. Try opening the aperture (lower F-stop number) or lowering the shutter speed to allow more light. Hope this helps.

Hi, I typically get that message when I have forgotten to take the lens hood off! The camera's metering system has concluded that there is too little light to take a picture. When do you get this message?
@@kalyangautam7345 Yep. It is a misleading error message. I believe what the camera is trying to tell you is that it cannot acquire focus (auto focus). Try to switch to manual focus and see if that helps. Push the "i" button, and I believe the second item from the left, buttom row, is the AF mode. Probably set to AF-A or AF-C. This needs to be M. Maybe - if your lens allows - you can also set via a button on the lens itself. Hope this helps.
I did read the whole little manual that was in the box. I'm gonna need to download this full one.
