Probably the best Lord of the Rings cover I've seen. Most notably, your transitions were excellent, and the classical techniques you used throughout enhanced each piece. I especially loved the left hand melody with the high arpeggios at about 3:15.
So I'm listening to this for the 6 th time in a row and it still gives me goosebumps. When the transition to the concerning hobbits comes on I tear up . Thank you so very much for this, thank you for making me feel and take me away from anger and despair. Best piano cover version on youtube.
After one year, I still love this cover so much, that every time I listen to it, I want to leave a thousand likes on it... so I'll leave a comment now. Thank you for making this!
Just came here from your Mandalorian cover. That one was excellent, but this, this was absolutely breathtaking. If I dare say so, it is one of the best Lord of the Rings piano covers on UA-cam!
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for the Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his Dark throne, In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. Lovely music by the way, absolutely stunning.
I don't for the life of me understand why this cover has so many dislikes. It's the best cover I've heard till date, at least for several of the themes. I am partial to Jarrod Radnich's arrangement, but this is my second favorite on UA-cam. Edit: I think some of the arpeggios are over the top though.
The plug-in that shows dislikes isn't actually accurate, it just guesses based on the ratio of views to likes, which is the only publicly available metric. I have a vid that shows me as having 1.2k likes and 30 dislikes, but in my analytics I can see that it's actually 6 dislikes. I'm sure that's the case here.
Amazing cover! As a fellow composer and pianist (admittedly not as good as you!) I'm really impressed by this cover. You transition beautifully between the different motifs and themes :) Looking forward to more!
I don't know how often I listened to this masterpiece now. Many many times. And I regularly check whether there are sheets already. Any news about it? I would highly appreciate them!!!
Hi there!! I've listened to this on repeat all day and I can't get enough of it, it's absolutely amazing. One question: what's the name of the first part of the some before the transition?? I'd love to learn that but I don't know what it's called lol
Finally! A Lord of the Rings cover that doesn't forget about the Black Rider theme! As a side note, was 5:03 improvisation? I don't recall hearing that in the films
This is beautiful! Do you possibly have sheet music? It would be very challenging and would take a long time to learn, but I’m trying to get back into piano by playing my favorite pieces from LOTR
@@SLDDPiano yes please, I absolutely LOVE this piece. You played it wonderfully, I even had to cry a bit during the hobbit-bit (no pun intended) Pleeeeeaaase, I wanna learn how to play like this, I need noooooootes :D
Ill have to write it out, I'll think about it since as opposed to my other videos this one is pretty tricky with copyright...If I decide to do it it should be up within the next week
I think it’s called the history of the ring or the story of the ring. It’s played right at the beginning of the first film when they are explaining how it was forged
Yes I realized my mistake right after I recorded. I sorta improvised most of it from how I remembered the soundtrack so that's why I missed that. Too confident in my lotr soundtrack memory/knowledge, I should've checked the original in more detail lol
Go check out my Mandalorian cover :)

Dear diary. Today's OP was an epic dude.
Absolutely incredible.
The 'concerning hobbits' part was so good. Would love a standalone version of that.

The music for the LOTR was so perfect. A character in and of itself.
Nazgul theme is terrific but incredible 🤩
Greetings from 9gag, i love your work i hope you find more recognition.

One does not simply play LOTR on piano..
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for the Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his Dark throne,
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Congratulations my friend 👏 Subed
OP, i am really curious how you would interpret the battle of pelennor fields with the speech and charge and all through your music.
Feels like it was arranged by Liszt lol
Awesome cover!!!! Love LOTR!
Glad you enjoyed jack :)

Just saw somebody post this and tagged you on Instagram, hopefully thats your @ so you can get more traffic. Love these playthroughs!
Thanks!!
Amazing arrangement as usual! Just out of curiosity, what VST plugin are you using?
Hi, Awesome cover!
Do you by any chance have the midi-file for this? Would love to try and learn it on Synthesia! :D
*Edit* Fellow 9gagger here!
I don't have a MIDI file as of now but the sheet music is available. Link in description :)

Very nice!
How do you mix the piano video with the digital (Synthesia?) output?
(came here by the 9gag post ;-)
I recorded it on a keyboard in Logic and imported the MIDI information...

When you play the shire theme song I got so homesick......
Kind of a random question but how many shoots did this take?
Uh about 2 if I remeber correctly... But I spent some time coming up with it and learning the arrangement so I played it more than twice
