When I can't play Zelda, I listen to Zelda
I'm soooo stressed and upset this days. I am not a person who gets angry easily, I always end up sad instead. Sometimes I feel lost and then is when I return to my safe space to take a breath and find my worth again. I always return to Zelda no matter what. Today I needed this. Thank you so much for helping me carry on with this and to whoever feeling lost and small remember that we're all important. We can do this and more, but not everything at once. Life goes on with every step, take your time and remember to breathe.
I feel you man. I lost someone I considered a friend a few months ago, haven't felt the same since. And because I was so grief stricken, a few days ago two of my best friends decided to drop me because they didn't think it was normal for me to still think about it and be upset for so long when I have told them how much that friend meant to me. But you are right, life goes on and as it does, Zelda will always feel like home.

There are times when a masterpiece is being created and those who are creating it just don't know it yet. That's what happened with BOTW. I still can't get over the amazement this title continues to bring, and the nostalgia the music already invokes just a few years after its release. This one is going to be hard to beat.
This is actually so motivating for me. I havent played anything this school year, its been so hectic. Now I'm only one exam away from graduating as a music teacher, and all I wanna do when I'm done with this last paper is lay in bed with some snacks and have some time to jump back in the game!!! Been playing Zelda since 1986 and as you guessed it still playing now in my forties and these Zelda mixes just brings me to a place no other game comes close to. I can’t explain how it feels like but it does just the trick to instantly make me feel better.

Sadly, I'm in a much worse situation than just math homework, but I definitely relate to the point of this music calming me down.
i miss the summers where i would just play botw all day every day because for me it was so satisfying and relaxing to get all the stuff for. and now that its been like a couple years, i forgot how to play the game yet its still so chill just by walking around and enjoying the views whether it be from the hebra peak, the top of death mountain, or from the great plateau where the journey first started.
even once totk came out (surprisingly on my birthday lol) there was that phase where i would just play it all day, collecting everything and figuring out all the little puzzles. and for the things i couldnt figure out on my own, i just looked up lmao. and still even now that im older i still love the all zelda games, whether ive played them or not.
although the entirety of the zelda timeline is a bit confusing, i love all the stories and progression. and the music is a massive part of why i love all of the games, if not the main part. its just something about the music and the sounds they use for the soundtracks that just sound so nostalgic and have that "long ago" type of feeling to them. its truly beautiful how from the very first The Legend of Zelda game has inspired this franchise for so long, that it is actually incredible.
i recommend atleast trying some more of the zelda games, whether they be decades old, or the most recent (which the fact that youre even at this video it means it most likely is either botw or totk).
and its crazy how this franchise of games has the same effect as minecraft, its the nostalgia that just hearing the different soundtracks of the games that makes some people remember back when they made memories playing their respective game, or even both.
now i feel as if thats enough of my little rant lol. if youre reading this i hope the best of luck on your future adventures and to overcome any obstacles which may stand in your way, and to have a good morning/night lmao.

I find Zelda music to be the most relaxing for me, ever since middle school days. Now I'm getting closer to getting my bachelor's degree this year, stressed about all kind of due assignments, and I still find myself reaching out to Zelda music.
Finished my degree two years ago, Zelda music and finally completing botw were two major keys for me finishing it up. Its a stressful time for sure, I hope you finish strong and can find some relief from all the stress of day-to-day life

Breath of the Wild is when I first really got into gaming. I was in the mental hospital for about 1 month before TOTK released and I was so eager to get out. I finally did and felt happier and when I got home it was waiting in an amazon package. When the Intro music played as link was falling with the title splash I realized "It's actually here and I am actually playing this." My face couldn't have emitted a brighter smile. Anyways I know that story is really cheesy lol I just wanted to share. :)
Appreciate ur story, the feelings these games give us shows us how amazing and influential they are :)

Zelda as a whole bring something from childhood i adore with smile on my face. Honestly when i feel tiered, nervous, sad or angry its always Zelda that snap me out in an instant with a gentle sensation of flame in the chest, almost feel like a magic.

The notes, fill my whole body with chills. I've been playing Zelda since I was about 5. I had a happy, calm, safe childhood thankfully. Play Zelda was my adventure, my chill time as a kid. Now as an adult in my 30's I don't get much time to play anymore. But just as Zelda would be my time to chill and focus, I put this music on in times of stress. I play it when I need to focus at work. It takes me to a different level of focus. Deep and meaningful. Zelda is always reliable. I evokes in me all of the emotions.
This Zelda music compilation calms me and helps me to concentrate on studying.

Huge Zelda fan, started playing on N64 with OoT and have played every mainline console entry since, BOTW and TOTK are definitely up in my top 5 for favorite in the series as far as games but they are my number 1 for music. The orchestral music just hits different with the open world concepts Nintendo laid out with these games.

I use the "mountain" theme as wake up alarm tone since 2017 ("sheikah tower" for naps or holydays), it's so soft, so gentle, but just with the first notes I wake up.
Skyward Sword was my first ever Zelda, I was 9. Listening to Fi's Farewell makes me want to tear up each godamn time. It could be due to the reminiscence of this fantastic game, or it could be due to the nostalgia, not only proper to the game, but to old days and childhood. Life's going more complicated as you grow up, but you just have to keep going.
