Thanks Ali, great to see your smile! Sound advice!
Glad you enjoyed it!
huge thanks yet again!! :-)
Great info! Thank you. You're appreciated.
I appreciate that!
Very clear Alistair, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Brilliant info👏
Glad you think so!
Thanks Alistair, I found this video and your previous one very helpful. I have a lot of young students and I am having trouble figuring out how to give them the digital equivalent of a treat / sticker / etc., the closest I've gotten is an air high 5 (it's as ridiculous as it sounds) and also getting them to make a dramatic checkmark over the song they completed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Also trying to figure out how to run a choir online...
Thanks for the great videos! Have you made a video on how to use OBS with Zoom for music teaching? I've downloaded OBS but I'm pretty clueless on how to get it working.
Heaps of Info thank you
many thanks Barbara
Thank You Alistair for all the great tips in your videos! I'm a bass teacher and try to find my setup ... For now i use OBS with Zoom and so i can connect more cameras (i use my old iPhone 6+ with EpocCam Webcamera) and audio-sources to zoom without add. paying. And i can use the free version of zoom without the 40min. limit. I'm still researching .... Thanx!
Great to hear!
Great informational video Alistair. Is there anyway that Zoom could do simultaneous audio sessions to perform a duet with both playing at the same time or would another video chat app work better for this?
Not that I know of. The delay will make things very difficult.
Thanks for your suggestions but I can’t found the settings for enable share computer sound on my iPad?!? thanks a lot
Sorry, I wasn't clear. You only have to allow this at the start of a meeting. Not sure if you can set it to on as default on the iPad. A new version is due very soon where there may well be changes.
Thanks a lot. One question. If i use my iPad like a 2nd câmera (with another account), it's necessary to configure Anything with the micro or the sound on ipad? The principal sound device Will be the computer? The doubt it's in the moment when we show the câmera from the ipad. I'm an amateur and I'm follow your fantastic vídeos. Thanks!!!
Best to mute the mic on the iPad.
@@isax.academy thanks. I done it!! Yupi! :)
Thank you Alistair. Very helpful. I tried the two accounts trick but the iPad sync was pretty hopeless. As a musician this is my biggest problem with Zoom. Lip sync!!! I’ve tried every mic, camera etc. in my house all to no avail. It drives me mad when I’m playing my instrument and my fingers are a split second behind the audio. I have taken the Zoom footage into Final Cut Pro and chopped off 8 frames from the video timeline and dragged it back and that fixes it but of course this is all “in post”. Any thoughts?
Hi. If you are taking about recording video have you looked at OBS or Ecamm Live? I think both of those have the ability to add a delay to the audio stream to keep things in sync. Worth a look.
Yes, I have but unfortunately it’s in Zoom that I need it. I tried Ecamm Live in conjunction with Zoom but it just compounds the problem. Fixing in post is the only way at the moment but it’s not ideal. When I’m teaching my students I would like the sync to be much better live. I guess it’s not a perfect world. Maybe in a few years time this will be resolved. Thanks for your great work both on this and the Roland Sax. Keep well. Les
Thanks Alistair. Great. However I am an organist with a Hauptwerk set up at home and use a FIFine Mic.What is the best way of producing a video through the Zoom platform which I can send to my teacher. I have tried recording using the mic through my I Pad Pro 2020 but the sound is very poor.
Hi there. You might be better to look at a different app to make a video. Do you have a Mac or PC?
@@isax.academy Thanks. I have a Mac
Can you explain the difference between internet audio and computer audio?
Hi. Its the same thing. Sorry I wasn't very clear.
Hi, i m having problem while teaching my student singing on my karaoke track. 1 seconds delay is developes both side. I m teaching 1 student at a time, both r speaking & watching each other.
Hi. Its best for the student to play the backing track and you listen to both the track and them at the same time. There will always be latency over the connection I'm afraid.
