62 years old i am...married for almost 30 years. My wife oftens says that no one is too good to become bad and neither is someone too bad never to become good again. There is still a story of a prodgical son. The right to judge belongs only to God. Pray for those who falls by the wayside..believing for their recovery.
I was a huge Ray Boltz fan as a teen in the 90s. His music really ministered to me, and still does. I've enjoyed finding a lot of my old favorites here on UA-cam. I can't help but read people's comments and it is always inevitable that someone will comment on Ray's current lifestyle (he came out as homosexual in 2008). It is interesting to me to read the different responses people give. Some say we should pray for his repentance, while others insist we shouldn't judge. Here is my take on it. As finite human beings, we can't judge what is going on in his heart and mind. Only he and God know. But we can hold up the standard of God's word. In both the Old and the New Testament, homosexuality is said to be a sin (Leviticus 18:22, I Corinthians 6:9-11). Jesus Himself said that marriage is for one man and and one woman for life (Matthew 19:4-6). I can't begin to imagine what it feels like to struggle with same-sex attraction, but I imagine it is similar to other types of sexual desires that can't be righteously fulfilled (such as being attracted to someone besides your spouse, or being single and having strong sexual desires). In any of these cases, God would ask us to do what Jesus said on Luke 9:23, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Homosexuality is such a buzzword these days. Let's remove it from the equation for a moment. Ray Boltz struggled with something that went against his own convictions for many years. He kept silent and tried to fight it himself. There was no accountability. Not even his wife knew about it. Finally, after years of struggling, he decided to change his beliefs based on his experience, rather than interpreting his experience through his beliefs. He completely indulged in this thing that went against his convictions, and broke his marriage vow. Is that right? To go against your convictions, not get accountability, and break your marriage vows? No! But because it involves homosexuality, everyone gets into "don't judge" mode (seriously, doesn't anyone know anything Jesus said besides "don't judge lest you be judged?" That's the most misused scripture there is!). My belief in the Bible's teaching on this would lead me to side with those who pray for Ray Boltz's repentance. He is our brother in Christ, and has been used mightily of God, as this song clearly reveals.

After 7 good years of marriage as best friends as well, My ex long ago did the same - it was so unexpected, crushing & painfully difficult go through, then to watch him let his life & more descend for 9 years. When diagnosed with lymphoma - he finally repented, asked for forgiveness from GOD, me and his mom, 1 month before his death. So glad our son, our 2 grandsons, his amazing mom & I'll see him in Heaven. HalleluYah!

I started listening to this song over 20 years ago. Upto date it still minsters to my spirit. So sad the brother Ray gave up on the lamb. But I know the lamb has not given up on Him. It's possible that in some way he was forced or cloned or somehow made to appear this way. If he is truly this way he can be delivered by the spirit and return instantly to normal.

I was shaken when I heard about Ray's sad story. The songs in his Album "The Concert of a Lifetime" were a rich source of encouragement to me as a young growing Christian. I listened to the songs repeatedly such that the lyrics were life to me. I did actually Pledge Allegiance to the LAMB and my Anchor holds firmly in Christ despite all the storms of life. Ray Boltz was booked to sing at my church then he came out as gay. Showed up a few months later he was living out of his car look totally unKepted in in bad shape tryed to sink a few songs. Felt convicted being in a church and walked out. The pastor felt bad for him knowing what was going on took a collection for him.. someone brought it out to his car and tried to talk him into coming back in but he left. Later I read about what happened to Ray . Understood what has happened. I couldn't understand how someone who seemed sold out for the Lord singing good songs could go back to being gay.The pastor asked the congregation to keep praying for him.
Ray Boltz is a gifted singer. As far as his private life is concerned, God gives everyone free will, He won't interfere with it, so why should we? Wow! What an anointed nice worship song. I believe by the time the singer did this song, the Spirit of God was focusing us listeners towards allegiance to our Redeemer - Jesus Christ (the Messiah). It is unfortunate to learn that this wonderful talented voice opted for the sexual vice. It is a choice anyway, just like the way we choose salvation and obedience to the Holy Spirit. To me, this song is still so inspiring. We are called to repentance on a daily basis because we are weak in flesh. Even King David who had a heart after God slipped when he sighted Uliah's wife.. BUT he quickly realised and acknowledged his sin when the prophet visited him. He was remorseful and repented. The bible says that if we are truthful to ourselves, acknowledge our sins/sinful nature, repent and accept to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, our atonement.... then the Almighty God is justified to forgive us. Truthfully, we all need supplications to overcome sin and to pray for each other as Christians because temptations are all over us. The promise we have is that God will not let those temptations over run us. He says run away from sin. So it is a choice to forsake sin however sweet that sin may be. The bible clearly tells us that God is full of love BUT he despises sin ...and homosexuality is indicated therein specifically as a sin too. Let us stay focused on our coming LORD Jesus Christ and be vigilant with His instructions. Truly, we are living the end-times coming steadfastly. I was delivered from years of Child Abuse suffered when I was only 3 years old because my mother had died and dad had to have a house keeper, who was a Satanist, even though dad did not know it at the time. I first heard this song when my son was about two or three years old - now he's 25 years old and I'm still listening to it as if it's a new release, because of the message. We do not know how he got to that point in his life- it's sad and also unchristian. I started listening to this song over 20 years ago. Upto date it still minsters to my spirit. So sad the brother Ray gave up on the lamb. But I know the lamb has not given up on Him. I was shaken when I heard about Ray's sad story. The songs in his Album "The Concert of a Lifetime" were a rich source of encouragement to me as a young growing Christian. I listened to the songs repeatedly such that the lyrics were life to me. I did actually Pledge Allegiance to the LAMB and my Anchor holds firmly in Christ despite all the storms of life. I watched it as a child. I grew up in a godless family, heathen actually, but my one grandmother instilled revelations in me so hard. Her and her friend parlayed over me and I fell under the holy spirit for hours and had prophetic visions at 6. I have always been a prophet for the lord, but I strayed from him by 12 and just was baptized and born again at 34, he's now taking me into ministry and having me cast Devils from people. Thank God my grandmother was a ministering angel to me as a child. She passed on years and years and years ago, but this song will forever be in my heart. Ray Boltz was booked to sing at my church then he came out as gay. Showed up a few months later he was living out of his car look totally unKepted in in bad shape tryed to sink a few songs. Felt convicted being in a church and walked out. The pastor felt bad for him knowing what was going on took a collection for him.. someone brought it out to his car and tried to talk him into coming back in but he left. Later I read about what happened to Ray . Understood what has happened. I couldn't understand how someone who seemed sold out for the Lord singing good songs could go back to being gay.The pastor asked the congregation to keep praying for him.
Every time I watch this I cry, it's a reality that we all are one day facing.

Wow! What an anointed nice worship song. I believe by the time the singer did this song, the Spirit of God was focusing us listeners towards allegiance to our Redeemer - Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
It is unfortunate to learn that this wonderful talented voice opted for the sexual vice. It is a choice anyway, just like the way we choose salvation and obedience to the Holy Spirit. To me, this song is still so inspiring. We are called to repentance on a daily basis because we are weak in flesh. Even King David who had a heart after God slipped when he sighted Uliah's wife.. BUT he quickly realised and acknowledged his sin when the prophet visited him. He was remorseful and repented. The bible says that if we are truthful to ourselves, acknowledge our sins/sinful nature, repent and accept to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, our atonement.... then the Almighty God is justified to forgive us. Truthfully, we all need supplications to overcome sin and to pray for each other as Christians because temptations are all over us. The promise we have is that God will not let those temptations over run us. He says run away from sin. So it is a choice to forsake sin however sweet that sin may be.
The bible clearly tells us that God is full of love BUT he despises sin ...and homosexuality is indicated therein specifically as a sin too.
Let us stay focused on our coming LORD Jesus Christ and be vigilant with His instructions. Truly, we are living the end-times coming steadfastly. Our redemption is in the power of the cross and the precious blood shed by our LORD JESUS CHRIST. He loved us so much and desires that are crowned in Heaven rather than elsewhere.
