tyrande really broke my heart in her cinematics here. her telling malfurion how tired she is. you can feel the ache. i love tyrande so much. and ysera too.
I've never cried so much at the content/cutscenes/cinematic in a WoW expansion, before. This expansion, is about /unity/. And I think that's what we need most, right now.
Sindragosa is so beautiful here and her voice is so calming to the listen to, it really gives you an insight to how she and Malygos were before they became corrupted. Also, I'll never get over Emmigosa, the little whelpling we save in Legion, being a drake now and squaring up to Raszageth. She takes after her great-great-great-great-great grandfather for sure, the Azurewing take no shit.
Sindragosa as a live dragon was not corrupted, she just sadly died far too early.. and her body fell to earth in Icecrown rather than dragonblight she was heading for (to the blue shrine obviously). That abomination raised by Arthas was a mindless twisted animated corpse merely acting out his will... and Malygos wasnt corrupted, just driven mad by the mass murder of his flight. When he snapped out of THAT< he masively overreacted to the abuse of magic by mortals and declared war ohn the world, all by himself. His death was entirely one him, due to his obsessive compulsion.
so if they restore their titan powers that means she has half of the domains in power. Life Death and Order. that seems rather significant the long run. that "leaves" Disorder, Light and Void.
Her colour scheme was always red and white/yellow/gold, probably even before blizzard decided to go full idiot mode with tbc don't quote me on that though.
Wrathion has so much charm,and the VA is doing it justice perfectly. Every char in this xpac feels like it has depth and reasoning,the quality of the cutscenes and storytelling has increased,very pleased so far.
Very true, someone above this comment was remise about the CGI videos like BfA had but a true gem would be the voice acting in this expansion, so far, it has been really well done.
it is NOT permanent. Once a particular task has been compoleted she wil tag back with Malfurion. It's made clear she wont be resuming her previous role, as Merithra is now the Green Aspect after all that ceremony hubbub.
Imo, from a game design perspective, it would be nice to have some sort of visual indication of which dragon is speaking when they're talking telepathically. Perhaps an aura or minor magical type effect; instead of just a dragon staring in some direction.
I hadn't thought anything of this because I've always played with subtitles on as I just like the way the ones for WoW look, but this would be a good addition even with that

BfA was a huge selling point for Blizzard at the time, the "idea/goal" was that BfA expansion was going to be one of the TOP IT expansions of their time, so they really went all out in selling it with CGI videos etc... it's unfortunate that it did not take hold like the developers thought it would. Implementation over expectations would have suited them better imo.
I love how blizzard just ignores lore so that they can do whatever the fuck they want. Why make the story even more of a focus if you are going to ignore most of what has happened before?
so I stopped playing WoW all the way back in Legion but I still watch the story because addiction and whatever, but damn man why does Blizzard hate Tyrande so much? She is like the whipping boy of Warcraft, its just like emotional trauma after emotional trauma for the poor woman. She needs a vacation.

Like honestly, I am 100% sure that the next part of the seed storyline will be either some deep evil corrupting it and it needs to be destroyed with all the souls in it or the horde randomly becoming fascists again and destroying it, only with the alliance going "Well but you won't do that a fourth time, so it's fine, let's be friends again"

The Horde represent the writers. The writers are cuasing a whole lot of problems for WOW, with all of their retcons to the lore. They might as well just make a new game at this point.
It seems impossible to get attached to any characters in wow lore, they are constantly killed off, go mad, or whatever. Each expansion just recycles an endless list of names.
Blizzard's new lore is just so bad. Fire the whole writers room please. They are focusing on all the wrong things. Instead of bad ass, this stuff is just... bad.
It's what happens when all the original writers and the storyline they let out are fulfilled and replaced with a new team of writers who are more concerned with pushing out hidden IRL faux political narratives over pushing good WoW lore.

actually it will. With the advent of cross faction guilds, blizzard is clearly indicating their plans to abandon this idiotic rehash. I mean given the massive existential threats from LEGION, and end of Battle For Azeroth and the freeing of N'zoth, you would think the reality of being forced to work for a common goal would get the point thru that killing each other just weakens the entire planet. With Sylvanas and Garrosh both removed, there's no one to push the war angle again..Remember, Thrall was totally chill with the Alliance. And so was Vol'jin. Garrosh was a megalomaniacal jingoistic brat with daddy issues that drove HIS rampage, and Sylvie was a mindtwisted monster who believed in Zovaal's delusions. In both cases resumed war between factions was ONLY the result of those undertaking truly evil actions against alliance strongholds: Theramore and Teldrassil.. You'll notice the Alliance at no point engaged in strategized atrocities on that scale. We clearly saw with both Vol'jins rebellion, and the opposition to Sylvanas, that a very large segment of the Horde rejected their evil and violence. That is who Baine, Mayla, Rokhan, Talanji, Lorthemar, and THalyssra are governing. THe marriage between Lorthemar and Thalyssra should provide some very interesting Sindorei/Shaldorei interactions.
People's avatars die within the game several times, and yet you come back to life.......... If you are powerful enoug in WOW, you can bring people back to life. The only problem with this one is that Ysera was brought back to life by the Winter Queen, so there should be no trade at all. Also, Ysera was killed directly by that one dude, forgot his name. So, why did Malfurion have to be traded? It does not make sense. New writers screw everything up.
Sorry, but I am going to be that guy. I didn't watch this. I looked it up for the sole reason of interest in the story and how much of it there was. I love story. But 46 minutes of cutscenes seems a bit short. Iono.... Maybe FF has ruined that bit for me on other games x.x. I am hearing that its good. But have shied away to avoid spoiler in the chance I came back. The story that is there may be good, but is there enough of it to warrant the price tag. It should be noted, I am primarily a solo player, I don't have a guild to run around with or any RL friends left in the game. So if there isn't enough story, I just feel it may be a pointless purchase.
Trust me when I say this, do not buy it. I have not played it, and will not buy it. The retconning of the lore is just horrible. The writing from what I have heard is also horrible. Then there is what you stated, not enough content. Some of the campaign is locked behind a reputation grind. So, timegating a campaign is bs from the start. One reason why I hated so much of that kind of crap. WOW is dead.
@@cainabel6356 trust me when I say this, this man is a tool. Been playing Warcraft since Orcs and Humans and was playing WoW since Beta. I missed a bit while deployed 3 times but always came back. I was disappointed in Shadowlands, but Dragonflight is very fun.

Not necessarily sad ones! Story wise these two games are in different leagues and that's understandable. WoW tells its story mostly through world building and action. After watching this, it proves my theory that we as players are no longer a part of the story, we're just a thing that goes from one story beat to another. At no point do we get shown, or have any involvement in these storylines. World of Warcraft has forgotten that we, as champion/adventurer/etc, should be a part of whats going on at all times, not just a delivery system for something that Blizzard could just make a novel out of.

@@cainabel6356 tbh it was never a story driven game and the story has always taken a back seat to gameplay and it always had story locked behind reputation, so if you didn't like it before you won't like it now. On the flip side, the gameplay part of the game is back to being good. Majority, if not all of the classes are fun to play and there are no arbitrary grinds and walls that you need to get through to be able to have fun.
@@stefanjoksa I have played Warcraft since it came out. It was not all locked behind reputation like it has been for a 5 of expansions back. It did at one point have a story line, which was very good, until the new writers came along. The down grading of maechanics is just horrible. Content seems to dry up fast for the recent expansions. Less is not more, especially when the expansions get shorter and shorter.
This game sucks, finally starting to show it's age, and I can't believe I bought this expansion. Looking forward to Ubisoft's open world Star Wars game.

I'd say the number of leaders in the game has increased in terms of males, 2 of the Dragonflights has been lead by female always, and the other 3 by male. The is over 15 years old, your character is suppose to age, leaders are suppose to die and be replaced by their chosen heir. It would seem that strong women threaten you.

My observation still stands correct, the strong masculine characters that existed have been written off by Blizzard. Cairne, Garrosh, Vol'jon, Varian, Saurfang, Nazgrim, Malfurion, the list goes on. How much spotlight did Sylvanas have in the past three expansions? And how many powerups did she get? How many strong masculine characters did she beat? I'm all for strong women, Blizzard did a great job representing this for a long time, but elevating women in the expense of getting rid of the strong men is just lousy, forced political writing.
@@bitten4life I find that the games goes in Trilogies, i know it's weird but hear me out, the first 3, i refer as the Arthas Trilogy, it's all about him and those connected to him, the next 3 (Cata, MoP, and WoD) Focused on the rise and fall of Garrosh, and the Last one was mainly about (Legion, BoA, SL) the rise and fall of Sylvanas, making it the Sylvanas trilogy, the Question should be, whose the focus on this time, my money is on Wrathion. Malfurion isn't dead, he chose to stay in Ardenweald, didn't die a true, death, and yes, it stung with the death of Vol'jin and Varian, they were my favorites on both sides. I liked Saurfang, but i felt he suffered much after the death of his son at Wrathsgate. The main thing i wanted to address for WoW was to allow the PCs to have a child, or an apprentice to pass the torch to, how many years have passed in the game, we know from the current game that years passed and Anduin has disappeared, i want to see what changed in Gilneas, but we won't know.

How do you do that storyline? Ive done every campaign mission on multiple toons and never saw anything with Ysera, Malfurion, and Tyrande.

BfA was a huge selling point for Blizzard at the time, the "idea/goal" was that BfA expansion was going to be one of the TOP IT expansions of their time, so they really went all out in selling it with CGI videos etc... it's unfortunate that it did not take hold like the developers thought it would. Implementation over expectations would have suited them better imo.
The high-end cinematic team has more than likely been working on D4 cinematics.

You get the Malfurion and Tyrande cinematics from a quest after reaching level 19 with Valdraken reputation.

24:46, and by dragon eggs, they ment new players "paying extra for the money." if you guys hate this new expansion, be sure to ask more questions about why did the atual people who are the "main victims" (Main charaters vs the BBEG.) that can't kee[ track of there "horde" (economy) and just outright turn their backs against the "world" (own billing company that ensures their ability to "pay" for their "electric bills") just to make this game work by having a "new generation" recieve "love" (unexpected event or a future broken promise that will be a scandal of no "Refunds" for the "New Players" and then ripp off the everything that every new "player" has paid for then just recreate the last "game" when "WOW" has been sued for some other inappropriate and barbaric nuances to "pay to what they "owed" (like a fart or another grunt and then some howls and chirps and ect. just to say they did by scaring the "Banker": the guy who inspects the bills in person to see if they are paid for like a resturant inspector, but towards other billing companies that have their own business just like "WOW", but not in that way, you'll see in about 8 months-to-3 years tops that this entire Game will be deleted or banned from ever getting played since this will be a "problem" for so many "WOW" animators to "try to keep up with the world's economy" that this will end very badly with another secret heist or just flat out a possible murder that is or isn't "popular" to animate."

actually it will. With the advent of cross faction guilds, blizzard is clearly indicating their plans to abandon this idiotic rehash. I mean given the massive existential threats from LEGION, and end of Battle For Azeroth and the freeing of N'zoth, you would think the reality of being forced to work for a common goal would get the point thru that killing each other just weakens the entire planet. With Sylvanas and Garrosh both removed, there's no one to push the war angle again..Remember, Thrall was totally chill with the Alliance. And so was Vol'jin. Garrosh was a megalomaniacal jingoistic brat with daddy issues that drove HIS rampage, and Sylvie was a mindtwisted monster who believed in Zovaal's delusions. In both cases resumed war between factions was ONLY the result of those undertaking truly evil actions against alliance strongholds: Theramore and Teldrassil.. You'll notice the Alliance at no point engaged in strategized atrocities on that scale. We clearly saw with both Vol'jins rebellion, and the opposition to Sylvanas, that a very large segment of the Horde rejected their evil and violence. That is who Baine, Mayla, Rokhan, Talanji, Lorthemar, and THalyssra are governing. THe marriage between Lorthemar and Thalyssra should provide some very interesting Sindorei/Shaldorei interactions.

People's avatars die within the game several times, and yet you come back to life.......... If you are powerful enoug in WOW, you can bring people back to life.
The only problem with this one is that Ysera was brought back to life by the Winter Queen, so there should be no trade at all. Also, Ysera was killed directly by that one dude, forgot his name. So, why did Malfurion have to be traded? It does not make sense. New writers screw everything up.

Sorry, but I am going to be that guy. I didn't watch this. I looked it up for the sole reason of interest in the story and how much of it there was. I love story. But 46 minutes of cutscenes seems a bit short. Iono.... Maybe FF has ruined that bit for me on other games x.x.
I am hearing that its good. But have shied away to avoid spoiler in the chance I came back. The story that is there may be good, but is there enough of it to warrant the price tag. It should be noted, I am primarily a solo player, I don't have a guild to run around with or any RL friends left in the game. So if there isn't enough story, I just feel it may be a pointless purchase.

Not necessarily sad ones! Story wise these two games are in different leagues and that's understandable. WoW tells its story mostly through world building and action. The shown story isnt good at all but the lore is!
After watching this, it proves my theory that we as players are no longer a part of the story, we're just a thing that goes from one story beat to another. At no point do we get shown, or have any involvement in these storylines. World of Warcraft has forgotten that we, as champion/adventurer/etc, should be a part of whats going on at all times, not just a delivery system for something that Blizzard could just make a novel out of.

From what I heard, some of the campaign is locked behind another wall of reputation. Glad I did not buy this. The writing is horrible and the locking behind reputation and so forth is horrible. WOW is officially dead to me. It ended during CATA.
@@cainabel6356 tbh it was never a story driven game and the story has always taken a back seat to gameplay and it always had story locked behind reputation, so if you didn't like it before you won't like it now. On the flip side, the gameplay part of the game is back to being good. Majority, if not all of the classes are fun to play and there are no arbitrary grinds and walls that you need to get through to be able to have fun.

It did at one point have a story line, which was very good, until the new writers came along. The down grading of maechanics is just horrible. Content seems to dry up fast for the recent expansions. Less is not more, especially when the expansions get shorter and shorter.
This game sucks, finally starting to show it's age, and I can't believe I bought this expansion.

lol, cairne was replaced by his son, Thrall was replaced by his apprentice, who went evil and now it's always been a male who leads the orcs, Valerian was replaced by Anduin, which is being caretaken by the High General, the Dwarves are ruin by a committee of 3(2 men and a woman), the Forsaken has replaced their female leader with a committee of men and women, The Nelf was always ran by Tyrande, while Malfurion might as well have been dead since he spend most of his life in the dream rather than leading the people. I'd say the number of leaders in the game has increased in terms of males, 2 of the Dragonflights has been lead by female always, and the other 3 by male. The is over 15 years old, your character is suppose to age, leaders are suppose to die and be replaced by their chosen heir.

No. I started playing WoW because a long time ago Jaina and Sylvanas were two of my favourite characters. And they're both strong females. My observation still stands correct, the strong masculine characters that existed have been written off by Blizzard. Cairne, Garrosh, Vol'jon, Varian, Saurfang, Nazgrim, Malfurion, the list goes on. How much spotlight did Sylvanas have in the past three expansions? And how many powerups did she get? How many strong masculine characters did she beat? I'm all for strong women, Blizzard did a great job representing this for a long time, but elevating women in the expense of getting rid of the strong men is just lousy, forced political writing.

@@bitten4life I find that the games goes in Trilogies, i know it's weird but hear me out, the first 3, i refer as the Arthas Trilogy, it's all about him and those connected to him, the next 3 (Cata, MoP, and WoD) Focused on the rise and fall of Garrosh, and the Last one was mainly about (Legion, BoA, SL) the rise and fall of Sylvanas, making it the Sylvanas trilogy, the Question should be, whose the focus on this time, my money is on Wrathion. Malfurion isn't dead, he chose to stay in Ardenweald, didn't die a true, death, and yes, it stung with the death of Vol'jin and Varian, they were my favorites on both sides. I liked Saurfang, but i felt he suffered much after the death of his son at Wrathsgate. The main thing i wanted to address for WoW was to allow the PCs to have a child, or an apprentice to pass the torch to, how many years have passed in the game, we know from the current game that years passed and Anduin has disappeared, i want to see what changed in Gilneas, but we won't know.
