I'm gonna wait until I get more info. It wouldn't be the first time a woman made false sexual harassment claims, but it also wouldn't be the first time a male feminist was a hypocritical piece of shit.
Showing certain things to manipulate peoples opinion? Idk, if that letter was written during filming I think that says something about his behavior on set. And there HAS to be witnesses to it. That stuff is not okay.
lol... bringing up something form 10 or more years ago is manipulating things. I am sure if you were on camera a lot we could make you looks like a total piece of sh*t at some point because you said something in your lifetime
You forgot to mention she also launched her alcoholic beverage line with the movie and even named some of her cocktails after characters in the film. Many DV cases involve alcohol abuse and addiction - I think people were most upset about that.
The studio wouldn't make her do that or promote her hair products while promoting this film. They also didn't make her husband change the script while writers strike or change her actions and words during old interviews.
@@ilovechocolate6997 The victim doesn’t have to be perfect but they also shouldn’t be aiding in their own demise. Baldoni didn’t get her canceled. It was her own words and actions that got her canceled.
She’s pretty, blonde, wife of Ryan Reynolds, was a prominent Hollywood figure for years. And you’re telling me she didn’t have the power to stop this guy from doing this on set? I don’t buy it. She just ruined her reputation this past year and wants to put the blame on everyone else except herself. Also, didn’t she bring her own wardrobe and makeup for the movie?
Not saying that she is telling the truth here bc honestly as much as we can speculate, we have no idea, but plenty of high profile actresses have been victims of sexual assault on film sets. A woman’s fame does not change another famous or non famous man’s ability to be a weirdo
Did you read the text messages. He was blaming his ADHD and wanted to show his brain with an interview with a doctor. The messages are very clear he was trying to cover up
I am not picking sides, but I work in the entertainment industry. It is standard practice to have an intimacy coordinator on set. It is also standard practice to block these intimate scenes before a take ever occurs. The sets and monitors are usually closed for privacy. There are also protections in place through the actor's union, SAG. Something is not lining up. This should have been addressed at the time of filming, not after a successful release.
It was addressed after she complained numerous times, but it should never have been like that to begin with and should have been addressed the first time it was mentioned and not have to wait until she brought her lawyer in and threatened not to return after the SAG strike
@@currentlynoname7499I’m having a hard time believing her side only bc of her behavior during promo tours- she made them about her brand and her husbands movie and then interviews come and she is clearly a bully.
She has Ryan as her husband. She is a huge Hollywood star. She has her businesses. And you're telling me, nothing was said, done, or threatened before this? Yea..I'll wait.
I 100% agree! So Justine and his business partner would have the nerve to sexually harass the wife of a Hollywood Titan?? In broad daylight? In front of all the cast? I smell Amber Heard all over this! It didn’t add up at all!
@ it was dealt with in a formal documented HR process and adjustments were made so that they could finish the movie. The case is not about the inappropriate behaviour on set, it is about workplace retaliation because Blake stood up for herself. There are literal subpoenad text messages with the crises management firm clearly outlining how they are going to smear Blake’s reputation because they were afraid that the issues on set was going to come out. If you actually take the time and go through the documents it is horrifying how they used the mainstream and social media to manipulate the narrative and smear Blake so that if any issues become public she would not be believed.
I"m reserving judgment too, but I'll just say, there's a power imbalance here. She and Ryan are HOllywood darlings and media (accessed or otherwise) well-connected people with sponsorships, endorsements.....I'd never even heard of Justin Baldoni until this scandal. I was like, who is this? Seems to me, he is a small fish in rather large pool of bigger fish.
@@muh-reeasmr7515 stuff was said before HB sexually harassed another girl on set. Blake brought stuff forward, went to her hubby for support, they subpoenaed JB Texts…..he offered his PR team 100 million to smear her so no one would believe her, it says in the texts to make her the mean girl, and they compiled all the bad shit in her they could, ignored the rest. The whole crew unfollowed him, wouldn’t be seen promoting it with him…..he did this, if it was her, the whole cast wouldn’t be avoiding him. The texts tell it all. Law and crime YT Channel has a lawyer reading his texts, he’s guilty
If there was this type of problem, BL should have refused to work on set, let the lawyers fight about the contract, and moved on to her next project. Instead, she finished the film and did a press tour?
That’s the weird part. Not like a contract can supersede broken law because people are saying she had to finish her contract. No one is forced if there are laws being broken. Shouldn’t this be criminal case 🤷🏻♂️
@@blaidenstorm9166 the case is not about SA, it is about workplace retaliation. They had dealt with the inappropriate behaviour on set through a formal documented HR process and adjustments were made so they could finish the movie. Then Wayfarer and Baldoni hired a crises management firm to smear Blake because they were afraid that what happened on set was going to come out. That is what the case was about - they retaliated because Blake stood up for herself, they even signed a contract that said they would not retaliate, and then they did it anyway. Those subpoenad text messages are horrifying and it is very clear that Baldoni was the aggressor.
I’ll tell you what I noticed. She said nothing for a long time, and then magically when the movie gets to Netflix, she drops this bombshell. Interesting timing. The movie didn’t do too well in theaters. But now she files this lawsuit and it drew so much attention to the movie that it is now in the top ten Netflix movies. Very odd timing. Blake is very methodical.
Glad I’m not the only one who finds this timing fishy. If anything, the timing makes me like Blake Lively even less. And I already didn’t like her and had no respect for her.
She said she was fat-shamed by Baldoni when he asked how much she weighed with their on-set trainer. He has a long history of back pain and a herniated disc. She disrespected him by sidelining him because she’s one of the producers. She changed and downplayed the storyline to fit a more commercially successful genre. According to an interview with their staff, she’s more of a businessperson, while he’s more focused on the art. She was her own stylist and personally chose the music, including songs by her best friend Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey. Her husband even rewrote the script without the writers’ knowledge. She promoted her liquor and hair brand and frequently discussed her outfits and accessories, which came across as tone-deaf given the DV-themed movie. She was also extremely insensitive when responding to questions about the project. This was her personal project, and he was in her way. The reporter she mistreated used her cancellation as an opportunity to call her out. If this had come to light earlier, many people likely would have dismissed her claims. I don’t believe Blake. This feels like a drastic attempt to clear her name. She’s a much bigger star than Baldoni, with a far more famous husband and an influential best friend. She also has a larger PR team and more resources than he does. People canceled her for the right reasons.
You're likely a bot, but in case you're not, read the actual lawsuit. He went behind her back and asked her trainer to get her to lose weight. He asked how much she weighed and said it was because he had to lift her for a scene, but there was no scene like that. Everything you're saying is what his PR firm said they were going to pay to have bots say. Good job.
They were contractually obligated to NOT focus on the DV aspect of the movie. BL done what she was obligated to do by the marketing contract. You should do more research.
I'm glad I found you since Brett Cooper isn't doing the comment section. I see your episodes as interesting and I enjoy seeing your take on things and you don't just do polictics.
Things don’t add up. I work as an actress in the entertainment industry. It’s SO EASY to call SAG and request an intimacy coordinator. You don’t have to hold a meeting, make demands, etc. I’ve even worked on a set where we were supposed to handle weapons without an armorer. I immediately called my agent, my agent spoke with production and a safety coordinator arrived the next day. SAG didn’t even have to get involved. 🤷🏻♀️
i wouldnt be surprised if she was caught cheating on her husband and she threw him under the bus knowing he "supports women" and would look very hypocritical ...someone wrote if she took over as a director or producer or w.e...how is it that she didnt hire the coordinator
@ that’s a good point. She was a producer so she definitely should have hired an intimacy coordinator if she wanted one. None of it makes any sense. I also read she was paid $3 million while Baldoni was paid $350,000. You can tell from that alone how Sony viewed her importance in relation to Baldoni’s.
Not to mention, is justin that ret4rd to mess around with the wife of Ryan the big movie star?? I mean cmon, why would be do that, right? Such a career s-icide? Now way
She's such a total Mean Girl IRL, and considering how easy it is just for a woman to say something terrible and destroy a man's life, I think I'll wait for the due process on this one.
I mean but you never know you shouldn't come and quickly to judge because if it did happen despite her not being a very likeable person that would be really sad and tragic
@@ophelia8491umm… the point of this comment is that they aren’t judging yet. We can say pretty clearly that Blake lively isn’t a nice person. There is a lot of evidence of that which is why people want to wait. She may be telling the truth, but we really don’t know yet.
@ophelia8491 what are you talking about? He literally just said he is not going to quickly judge anything until due process has been completed. Are you saying he's too quick to announce that he won't be quickly coming to a judgement??
I love your balanced and reasonable perspective on this. It's so great to see someone online not throw a narrative based on personal bias, your thoughts feel fair honestly. ❤
If they requested for her to do one kind of media campaign and then they coordinate a 180 on her to set her up, then they should bear some responsibility.
Nah Blake set her own career on fire when those clips of her being a mean girl came out and promoting her alcohol brand along with a DV movie?? How money hungry and dumb can you be..
not to defend her but that was intentional those clips were part of the smear campaign. You guys need not to fall for it. Besides that interview is a bit taken out of context the person interviewing hasn't the best reputation it's a long story but regardless no matter how unlikable a person can be. No one deserves to be deal with sexual harassment.
@@Vengurl09 Blake was the director of the film, there are clips of her directing that dude to do certain things. If you’ve SA’d of feel uncomfortable with someone that have predator vibes you don’t instruct them to touch you in certain ways. Acting or not.
It’s ridiculous how you guys have fallen for that smear campaign. Lively is a shallow or “rude” actress? So what?! She doesn’t deserve to be bashed & harassed. The purity standard you’re holding her to is a shocking example of misogyny. Even if she’s rude, she doesn’t deserve the stuff alleged in this lawsuit. She was CONTRACTED to do the movie so she couldn’t just walk off set. It sounds like she took all the proper legal steps. Made a list of complaints/ problems, told HR & producers, & other staff corroborated & had similar complaints. But Baldoni allegedly continued. I don’t blame her for suing.
I have a hard time believing BL’s sexual harassment lawsuit against JB because the power dynamics imbalance clearly favors her over the guy. She’s Black freaking Lively from Gossip Girl, The Traveling Pants movie, Green Lantern, and fashionista darling with a net worth surpassing that of JB at any time. I won’t even speak about her husband, Ryan Reynolds, the Deadpool star worth $350 million and having one of the most commercially successful career post-2000 in Hollywood. They’re a supercouple and her very privileged situation makes her powerful enough to co-produce that “It Ends With Us” movie she starred and shoehorn some artistic choices without necessarily having those greenlit by JB. Her husband and she could put an end to JB’s career in a heartbeat because they hold such tremendous power over him! It wouldn’t make sense for JB to choose to sexually harass such a powerful woman, associated with an even more powerful man, post-“Me Too.” It barely is logical and would be career suicide for JB.
She is a pathetic liar. And she is not pretty , it's time we stop calling her that. She just files the lawsuit to regain her goodwill against the backlash she faced only because of what she did. Justin never said a single negative word for her.
Or worst case scenario at least follow the SAG guidelines and have the correct procedures in place to give as much protection possible and not improvise when doing intimate scenes. That's just wrong.
any company who creates a plan to make fake accounts to create false narratives to attack another person should be sued into oblivion and not allowed to do business again. that is what i am most concerned about regarding this.
What were the false narratives? The thing that started the fire, and really the only thing in the public's eye, was that rude interview. That was all Blake.
@@OSMOOLEE so you don't know which ones are fake or not, although the company claims they didn't go through with it, because they also planned on making fake social media accounts to push these false narratives. in my opinion, having it in writing that you even have a PLAN of creating fake accounts to defame a person, is enough evidence to completely shut that company down and take everything that person has. in this day and age when people are constantly questioning the validity of what they see online and accusing others of disinformation, this is a red flag to get this person out of the industry.
I am a women and I just don't believe Blake Lively at all. She used her platform during the film to sell a product which was terrible now she is trying to hurt a man who cares about women a lot and fights for women's rights. Also I would love to see others opinions and not people Blake Lively can buy, it is like what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp.
Amber's case was extreme. Justin is incredibly passive aggressive to have hired johnny depp's representative before any talk of a lawsuit. Why go to such extreme lengths when the public opinion was positive about him supporting him mostly. He feared she might speak up
She tried to sell the movie as happy and having girls wear their best floral dress. When I heard what the movie was really about, I was like what the F. Disgusting. But it does not mean she is lying now.
Her reputation was ruined by her own actions on the press tour. But if these allegations are true and he was harrassing and being inappropriate I hope he gets what's coming to him.... lets see how this all plays out
Am I a bad person if the first thing I thought when I heard about the lawsuit was "oh, she cheated on her husband with her co-star and now is trying to get away with it"? I'm just confused as I thought Blake Lively was a producer on the film and had more say in what happened then the director. I just find it weird that the same person who has enough pull to add her own clothes to the wardrobe, rewrite an entire scene and have a second entire edit of the film done somehow didn't have enough say to have an intimacy coach on set from the start. Please tell me this isn't the start of an Amber Heard 2.0 fiasco.
actually thats fair...her husband probably called it out and she threw him under the bus knowing he "sticks up" for women...knowing hes gonna look hypocritical ...
I had the same thought, actually. Who knows how all this will end. And frankly, who cares. It's just two rich celebs fighting over money. It's not a criminal case, so the end goal is a payout.
Oh no I don’t think so , the producer is also married I thought so I hope that’s not the case anyways . That and she has 4 kids .. why would she really cheat on Ryan
@@angelcitygirlThe person interviewing her are the same ones that write smear articles about celebrities. And you want her to be nice to her. You clueless miserable people.
@kermitthefrog2311 not sure what happened with justin, but it's pretty established going back to the gossip girl days that Blake is a nasty nasty chick.
They both suck and this all proves what I’ve been saying! No one INCLUDING Justin is innocent. No matter how he chose to spin it. It was all a PR move on his part!
I do not believe her. She is just another Amber Heard. She bullied him off his own set even though he is a director, because she wanted to change the premise of the movie. She’s more popular than him, and her husband is Ryan Reynolds, so if this alleged harassment occurred she could have brought it up much earlier or walked away from the movie. She didn’t do that, because the harassment didn’t happen. Whatever ‘support’ she is getting is only because of her husband or the fact that she is a woman. And the timing of this sudden claim, is just off. It only happened after her reputation tanked.
Birds of a feather right! Her real self showed while she was doing a press tour for the movie. Then more surfaced from past press tours. She is probably hoping this will save her image.
Amber heard was a victim honey. Johnny depp has been known for his violent acts through out his career. The smear campaign against Amber was succesful but this time Justin can't do it with Blake because he doesn't have that power to lie and hurt her image
If you watch ALL of Justin Baldoni's interviews to promote the movie, he credits the cast, the story, survivors, other women, etc., whereas when it comes to Blake, she just jokes and deflects. She also launched her alcohol at the time this came out, not just hair care! Baldoni was the only one who stayed true to the mission of the movie and maintained the integrity of the storyline. She accused him of "fat shaming" her when he needed to know how much she weighed because he was required to lift her in a scene and he was in training, and wanted to make sure he could safely do this given he has a history of back injuries and a back problem. She twisted everything, including trying to sell this film as a fun, flowery, rom-com that left many women traumatised when they watched it. #IStandWithJustin Amber Heard is coming out in support of Blake, so I think that ought to send us a strong message. Blake being Taylor Swift's best friend is also a power move. This is a hot mess and Blake is being very abu$!ve.
Shut up. Didn’t you see the proofs? He was being manipulative doing that, she was following a script imposed by Sony. She attached 80 legitimate proofs on the lawsuit. He didn’t come up with anything. It’s always like this: a woman showing proofs: guilty, a man in silence : victim! Shame :/

If you look at the complaint you will see that she was given instructions not to focus on dv but to focus on hope. That's in the contract they had. All cast had the same instructions but when he saw people wanting to talk about the DV instead of giving the fo ahead to everyone, he was The only one to do so and took credit from the public leaving the other lead, Blake to face the backlash and having no ability to talk about it. He set her up for a downfall which is partly why before filming even finished the cast AND the writer all unfollowed him. Even though he has the sequel and will need to work with the writer on that, the writer has come out in support of Blake. That says a lot because he owns the rights to her books so will likely get royalties from the sequel. Supporting Blake could mean she loses royalties from the sequel if people turn away from him. It must have been bad enough for her to forfeit money over
The comments bashing this woman are unhinged, & it was bizarre that she got criticized for not “giving support to DV survivor fans who contacted her on social media.” She’s not the police & she’s not a social worker. She seems to be a somewhat-shallow actress, so the best she could do is post a national helpline for example. As far as this lawsuit, and everyone saying: why didn’t she just quit? The answer is that she was contracted to do the movie. I’m a corporate attorney, and I can promise you that making allegations of “sexual harassment” in the workplace doesn’t necessarily invalidate your contract. She’s contracted to do the movie, & she did it. It sounds like Lively took all proper legal steps, tbh. She made a list of complaints, her staff corroborated, and apparently, even after meetings with HR/ producers, Baldoni continued his behavior. I can’t blame her for suing. If this is all fabricated, it would be a ton of effort for very little gain, & would have to involve many people lying who have no vested interest in lying. I think it’s mostly credible, though perhaps exaggerated as many claims are when filed in lawsuits
She got her husband to rewrite the screenplay or add a scene without telling the screenwriter so she used her husband to add more screentime for her she mentioned on the red carpet that ryan Reynolds wrote a rooftop scene which baldonini did not know till the event till.she mentioned it and it's not false unless some people call blake a liar?hmmm
@@falalalalaashe mentioned this in several interviews. Are you also going to say she didn't link her own alcoholic beverage with violence or she wasn't rude in previous interviews?
Her reputation was perfectly fine until the smear campaign happened and all ‘questionable’ things as well as ‘I didn’t like her for some reason’ comes out with it. Literally not a fan but look back as far as before the filming start, she was praised for her fashion everywhere and here I was asking my brothers why she is famous because I didn’t watch Gossip Girl so was completely out of the loop.
its giving scorched. Very much karen behavior that screams “I’ll ruin you!” standing behind the wealthy husband. If she had apologized for the resurfaced videos her image could have been salvaged but shes just proving everyone right, she’s a nightmare. If the allegations were going on that alone is sufficient to break a movie contract.
I would normally agree with the audience of this channel, but I’ve been calling this for a long time. Me too will turn against women if they don’t agree with the political point of view. In other words, woke people will turn on women, gays, black people, if they don’t agree with progressive politics. BL doesn’t agree with progressive politics. Before I knew anything about this case, all the anti BL stuff didn’t pass the smell test. The interviews that criticize her just seemed like jokes made out of context and projected onto. Now that I know this is a male feminist, and see how the backlash came right when Ryan Reynolds was going after Hollywood with his Deadpool movie and they just hated it, it starts to make sense. They didn’t want BL to have a hit, so all of a sudden she was a problem, and the timing is very convenient to dismiss her allegations. I won’t make up my mind either way, because I don’t know, but I only have one thing to say…what happened to “believe all women.” Let this be a lesson that believe all women only means, believe people who agree with progressive politics, and destroy anyone who doesn’t. Just think about that.
@ You’re giving Qanon. Literally not even about partisan sides. Just about being a nice person, which time and time she shows her colors. And you talk about blake being anti-woke, please she’s besties with Taylor swift, if those are your bases, literally you dont even know what youre talking about. Just some food for thought.
Blake has significantly more power in the industry than Justin. She has the power to manipulate the narrative in her favor. And ofc the cast is on her side, they don't want to lose their jobs. She is so gross
She’s trying hard to make herself look good after all that bad press and old interviews. I don’t believe her. She has a history of being a mean girl. So nothing that he did. If he was that kind of guy it would have all came out especially with all that “ Me Too”. How was he sexually harassing her when they said Ryan was on set most of the time. From what was said they took over production? Hmmmm. She needs to get over her self. Everyone knows who she is. So now she’s trying to flip everything and honestly I don’t think that’s going to help her case. She’s giving Amber Heard vibes. We all know how that ended? She lied on Johnny. That’s why I can’t just believe someone without any proof or evidence.

She didn’t file an actual lawsuit, just a complaint. I hope a lawsuit is filed because then there will be context to the text messages she cherry picked. Plus, HER text messages will come out during discovery.
This exactly. I guarantee her messages are equally as bad. When you hire a PR crisis team this what they do. This is standard Hollywood culture. They all lie and spin the narrative.

@@breelee4362 It was one of the strategies his PR firm came up with. It gets lots of men riled up if they throw around how she's feminist like Swift. Women shouldn’t have to quit their jobs because a man makes them uncomfortable. She apparently reported it. She shouldn’t be forced out of her career because of it.
We the public do not need to be commanded to “like” or fund the career of ANY celebrity even if we side with them on a particular legal matter. If the allegations are true, then the director needs to be held accountable. But the actress may have been already been losing popularity for other reasons beyond the movie.
Because he signed a contract agreeing not to make her uncomfortable anymore. It was all probably more odd than so unbearable as to quit the entire project and make everyone’s life even harder. If I was her I would be just as stubborn to stay, because ain’t nobody taking my job and continue to make everyone else uncomfortable while I have the power to make _them_ quit their weird bs instead. This was perhaps not even going anywhere if this smear campaign didn’t happen because she was squeaky clean back then too, no need for her to start anything out of nowhere. For reals! She is on a one way to being the nexr Amber Heard!
You forgot to mention she also launched her alcoholic beverage line with the movie and even named some of her cocktails after characters in the film. Many DV cases involve alcohol abuse and addiction - I think people were most upset about that.

The movie didn’t do too well in theaters. But now she files this lawsuit and it drew so much attention to the movie that it is now in the top ten Netflix movies. Very odd timing. Blake is very methodical.
not her, the pr and managers team
To play devil’s advocate, it’s likely her team advised her to wait until after the movie’s release so the spotlight would remain solely on the film
Huh? I work in the theater. This movie did great. Full house for like a month
Glad I’m not the only one who finds this timing fishy. If anything, the timing makes me like Blake Lively even less. And I already didn’t like her and had no respect for her.
Err the figures show it did well though...anyway carry on
She said she was fat-shamed by Baldoni when he asked how much she weighed with their on-set trainer.
Good job.

She’s more popular than him, and her husband is Ryan Reynolds, so if this alleged harassment occurred she could have brought it up much earlier or walked away from the movie. Love your take on this! We’re being manipulated constantly

" trying to sell this film as a fun, flowery, rom-com" was such as strange move on her part.
It must have been bad enough for her to forfeit money over
She was rude and insensitive. JB doesn't have to anything. She did that to herself.
Yeah, I’m not saying he’s not guilty, but she’s been digging her own grave to crawl in. There’s receipts on her terrible attitude

Perfect timing too.

its giving scorched.

I’m definitely on the boat of them both being toxic narcissists. I’ve never bought his “be a better man” schtick because it’s so phony and contrived and he uses too many buzzwords and phrases, but because he depends on that narrative, I also find her accusations very hard to believe and he wasn’t even with her during her interviews that caused all her bad publicity - she created her own bad publicity by behaving poorly and not reading the room. He did not force her to advertise her own shampoo brand. Her original viral complaint about him asking how much she weighed was understandable because he has a back injury, so are the rest of the complaints something less nefarious? Who knows. Weirdly, I actually am more suspicious of Ryan in all this - he was literally there the whole time, watching! Like Justin would just blatantly sexually harass Ryan’s wife while he directed their sex scene that she was in charge of…. That would be insane if he did. Also her and her husband were producers - they could have fired Justin or walked away themselves. None of it makes sense.
