You gotta love the end of Hamlet when, after all the foreshadowing, Fortinbras finally shows up with his invasion force to find everyone already dead and poor Horatio just standing there next to a pile of corpses like "Welp, you win, I guess?"
I was laughing through the whole thing, then the Fortinbras bit at the end almost destroyed me. Perfect. Thanks for the hard work this is a very specific bit of genius.
I never realized how much I wanted Jon Mulaney to play Hamlet. I mean, the obvious play would to cast him as Horatio but he’d make such an entraining crazy prince man

Surprisingly, hearing John Mulaney describe Hamlet in just less than five minutes with his comedy shows and specials is much better than hearing that in any high school English classroom.
My favorite part of the play is probably Fortinbras showing up in the end, all ready to invade, and just being like "what the fuck happened here? Why is everyone dead already?" Also, Hamlet, the play so wild that the main character got kidnapped by pirates and it wasn't even really a major plot point (Second part stolen, don't remember where from)

I remember reading Hamlet in 10th grade. I also remember getting a 60 on the unit test despite the fact I thought I did pretty well.
Just imagine "The Lion King" with an ending that features everyone killing one another. That's "Hamlet".
