My first job (I was a Whole Foods cashier) helped me get over my social anxiety. The thought of getting fired over something seemingly dumb was more embarrassing than talking to people.
lolol sometimes I feel bad for Anthony when he is hosting, yet at the same time the intro and Joe's answer at the beginning were hilarious. 🤣🤣 Looking forward to hearing everyone's answers though.
The general rule I’ve been taught is, “if someone offers you gum or a mint, you take it” even if you literally just brushed your teeth not even 15 minutes ago.
I was the stinky one at a job. I took a shower every morning, making sure to wash everything well. Then my manager told me I stunk so I started putting on deodorant again every time I got a break. That seemed to fix it. I was glad someone told me instead of letting me walk around.
The truth is hard to hear but it sets us free. At least we can be aware and make adjustments to being better than we were yesterday, is the goal hopefully. Hope you’re doing well, God bless you and that manager.
This turned into a you stink episode 😂 I remember my first ever job I was a dishwasher & long story short a new coworker was asking others if he stinks like BO, my guess was he knew he smelled but didn’t know if others knew or wanted to know how bad it was & everyone lied and said no, I was unaware that we were lying 😂when he asked me i flat out told him yes, I’m hind sight I feel everyone else was mean for lying to him
sometimes it's not about showering or changing your clothes, but what you eat, and the kind of bacteria that feeds off your sweat. there are some deodourants that work, where they use bacteria cultures (good bacteria) to kill off the bad ones, and you only need to apply them once and they'll last a week or so, depending on how much you sweat. if it's a bacteria and not a hygiene issue, masking it with ordinary deodourant doesn't help much, and might make it worse. and it's really bad to get those with aluminium that'll block your pores so you don't sweat at all.
On that note, maybe tell the person you got these "sample" Lume products for a brand deal and you want to get people's opinions in testing them out, and offer them some.😏
kaylene’s right, there’s prob something deeper to not be able to maintain bodily hygiene..one would think if ya can’t smell, you’d want and say yourself for those around esp at work to let you know if you’ve got some funk-not because of being too self conscious but simple understanding its about respect for shared space. Now, if its a matter of the food this girl eats which secretes certain smells, still means there’s something “deeper” like digestion/gut issue
I agree, sometimes you need the deeper conversations. I was a lead at my old job and I had to talk to a cast member and it turned out they got evicted and didn't have access to a shower/living in their car. You just have to figure out how to talk to them and figure out resources for them. Luckily, we had access to showers at our company that they could use.
In Subin's situation, a thing you could do is address the whole team in a meeting and act like it's a thing everyone has to work on. I feel like that's what some of my workplaces did, although it was for different reasons. Or a free gift basket of bath and body works products or something.c
Kalyne's scoff at Joe's answer... 😂😂 Btw, Stinkman & the Sniffers is gold. And speaking from experience, I had this one coworker who had a musky sour funk, and the dude also wore the same clothes for 2-3 days straight. The dude would also take off his shoes and just go barefoot at work. Good thing, it was in an air-conditioned office so the odor doesn't really spread unless you're near. Imagine if it wasn't air-conditioned or even outdoors in a tropical climate. 🤮
In middle school we had a female colleague in our class, and a lot of people were saying she was dirty, so a few of the boys put in like 5 bars of soap in he backpack. She left our school because of the bullying. I sat next to her, and while her clothes didn't look great, I didn't smell anything bad.
It’s very interesting to see how men and women approach the problem of stinkers, or just communication in general. The woman in the video said she would ask what was going on in that girl’s life, and the Korean guy said “so deep all of a sudden?” It’s actually not if you think about it. How someone presents themselves is a reflection of what they are going through. If they can not keep themselves clean as basic hygiene, they either do not have the ability to do so, or something is preventing them from doing so(mental illness, etc.) You have to get to the base of the issue to solve the problem; it’s not as simple as telling them to take a shower. You can see from the other guy’s story of asking the dude if he showered, and even though he said yes, the “sniffers” said the smell was just as bad. At the same time, I understand many people do not care as much to listen to another person’s life story and how it got so bad that they can’t take care of themselves.
My neighbor has autism and each time I walk by his apartment it smells bad because he always have his door open. Sometimes when my husband goes into his apartment to help him with things.. he always come back telling me that he smells like he hasn’t shower for days and his apartment smells dirty. The thing is his mom lives next door to him.
Ironically now that im in asia, Asia. When I was in the US, all I learned was paperwork and computer stuff which I forgot now. In asia its completely different because it's physical literally general labor while in the states it's more Hispanics for general labor. Whoever said it's all the same knows nothing. Widen your horizon.
We have a friend I think it was medical halitosis I think, his breath smell. I just buy pack of gum then after few times chewing I offer one to him. I only do it when we are on duty as ushers.
Smoking tons of cigarettes makes you smell TERRIBLE. I had a buddy in college that constantly emitted a 5 foot radius of the strongest cigarette smell ever. I remember silently laughing when my professors would walk up to him to explain something and then verrrryyy slowwlyy take a few steps back after immediately approaching him LOL
Welcome back to the Careful Boyz era. They are going strong and better than ever. They even had a special episode when they got to 2 Million subs. Off The Record: We Hit 2 Million, Tattoos Are Coming! Also, just an fyi, Joe is married now. He married a wonderful woman named Hannah almost 2 years ago. He posted a video about it on his personal channel: So... We Got Married
In high school we had a male colleague that really really stank, during pe class it was chemical warfare. Everyone was talking about and it went on a while school year. I left after so idk if he got better.
Trying not to be disrespectful but I got stuck once in a meeting room for hours with a bunch of peeps who let's just say came from a place that is notoriously known to be stinky.. man, i would have passed out if not for the cup coffee I've been vehemently inhaling
I would die if I was one of those people that just stank. I know full well the gym person who can clear a room once they sweat. Absolutely the worst. I do feel bad for them because sometimes you can't help it.
Omg, yes! We had to have that conversation with an employee before and, yeah, there's no good coming out of that. All parties were female and it was still awkward, there is literally no way you can tell somebody that without them being offended.
I have to live with this. My older brother CAN NOT smell himself. He doesn't have the best hygiene at all. I have to literally say you can not get in my car and go to the store with me unless you shower and take care of yourself. I have to tell him he needs to shower all the time. It's stressful as hell. Lol, I didn't think about taking spray with me everywhere when he's with me. 😂
Holy shit I got a question I’d love to see you guys talk about. How are you guys dealing with the current climate of the USA, the world shifting into instability in general, are you guys taking any precautions or making any plans?
My sister was telling me about using onion juice for my hair loss and was warning me it smelled bad so never got around to it. That might have been it!
there is no good way to tell someone they stink fr. like no matter what the other person will be embarrassed. you just gotta be straight up but try be apologetic? idk what the word is.
I can say this because it's my own people. But Desi people always stank at the gym. I can smell my brotherin 😢 please wear deodorant. (There's this misconception in Desi household that we don't smell and that deodorant causes cancer 😢)
It was a metaphor. Like "keeping the fox out of the chicken coop" cuz the fox would kill and eat the chickens. In this case the underage high school workers are the little, vulnerable chickens, and the predatory older guy that claimed to be looking for work would be the "fox" in this scenario, who could harm the "chickens".

I'm CRYING right now, Subin asking Joe if he bounced when he sniffed the trail 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol like a looney tunes cartoon
I was trying to eat watching this! 😂

Same. It helped me bit socially

Stink man and the sniffers 😂
this cracked me up!! it's either a band name or something out of Harry Potter
If someone smells, just tell them straight out! Short, concise, and straight to the point.
stink man and sniffers is crazy 🤣 14:29

um, isn't air conditioning worse? the smell is trapped in the room, no? it's why you have air vents in the toilet (and rarely air con)
