    Thanks for the video. Subscribed! Ill use this info next time im on the track. Corner entry is a big learning point for me. Im trailbraking but i need to go faster into the corners. And like you said, if i have to brake to hard into it, it feels like im going to die. Better to ease off the brakes earlier than brake harder

      Corner entry and corner speed is a difficult one. Someone once told me instead of thinking of it as hard braking, think of it as setting your entry speed.
      Once you have some reference points for braking it really starts to build confidence. Thank you for the sub 🙏

    Having braking and turn in reference points are the key. Once you have them then it's just a matter of connecting the dots around the track and your confidence builds from there.

    great video Dean. how about a video to help getting into VIR turn one north, I have a hard time going deep enough on the brakes there. I need to stay on the gas and brake latter, but I find it hard to do in my old age. Years ago it was brake at the 4 or 3 and carry the rear wheel in the air, not anymore :(

    • @dabosch11
      @dabosch11  Рік тому

      Thank you 🙏 I love the idea! T1 is tricky. This year I will link up with some pros and ask for their advice and tips and ask about T1. I got to ride with CJ Crosslin and Calvin a little this year and gave me some great tips.
      Do you think conditioning could help? Trying to put on a little more strength in legs, arms, core and even fingers to help with the braking force?
      Versrah brake pads have a nice mean bite to them!
      Nothing like the rear tire in the air feeling.

    Do u let your body slide towards the tank when braking? Or do u hold & brace?

    • @dabosch11

    Is cornering technique for fast corners the same as for slow ones? 180-190+ km/h scares the hell out of me lol. I only have done one trackday though.

    • @dabosch11
      @dabosch11  Рік тому +1

      Heck yea on the one track day! Most never get to experience it. I change it up for corners. With slower corners I don't find myself hanging off the bike as much.I might trail harder into a slower corner where as longer corners I may trail brake just a little. Some factors would be camber/off camber and radius of turn that would change my approach to them.

    2:19 - Holy Cow, the last time I was on a track I've noticed that I was using my middle finger (the FU finger) to break and I felt guilty for that - I though this is some bad habit. But here we go.

    • @dabosch11
      @dabosch11  Рік тому

      the FU finger 😂 I made a recent video titled track day questions that talks about fingers. MotoGP riders use anywhere from 1-4 so I believe it comes down to preference.

    Do you have turn-in markers for most corners? I usually only have break markers and trying to apex later in most corners...

    • @dabosch11
      @dabosch11  Рік тому +1

      I try my best to have an idea of reference points Brake marker, turn in, apex, accelerating out. I don't have them for every single turns. I notice for the ones I feel most comfortable in I do. Like Road Atlanta T5. I should know all turns like I know that one. It will inspire confidence to have points around the track to hold you accountable.
