A watch enthusiast viewing a video featuring an A. Lange & Sohne watch is like a car enthusiast pining over a 3 million dollar Bugatti Chiron. Its a feast for the eyes, but ultimately a fantasy. Despite how unattainable a Lange is for 99.9 percent of us, the visual splendor and technical marvel that is on display with these watches is a luxurious experience all on its own. Thanks Teddy for featuring this tantalizing watch.

@@-_--le3zk Yes yes yes, yours comment is the one I have waited for. The insanely complicated features of ALnS and the 12k rpm+ v12 naturally aspirated, what a pair 🥵
i would like to compliment your production competence relative to other watch sites and you tubers in general. The sound, in particular is even and audible throughout at low volumes without blaring in points at high volumes. Camera is even. Lighting is good and the watch shots are well composed. It's a step up and makes your channel quite watchable. The content ensures it's not just good packaging as well. Thanks.
It’s beautiful. I don’t really get the perpetual calendar with that short a power reserve but if I I could afford a $100k watch, I probably also have a butler to wind it for me every day.
Fantastic video! Amazing footage - especially in the intro montage! Haha, I bet that took more than a few minutes to put together. I appreciate the history too. This video reminds me why your channel is one of the best around! Keep up the good work Teddy!
I would give a kidney, become celebate, stop swearing and give up sushi for 3 Lange's. The holy trinity are all a step below. Their movements are stunning/stellar, hands down. Great review as always. You have been looking sharp lately. Is Courtney choosing your outfits ?
Thanks for doing a deep dive into a high horology piece. I love the brand and their finishing is second-to-none. Although the price point makes them less attainable, aside from the steel Odysseus if you look really hard most models can be bought at retail with reasonable wait time unlike the overhyped Rolexes and APs of this world. Bravo for the excellent video. More Lange and VC content please!
Thank you for this in depth look into a true Lange masterpiece. I really appreciate your fresh take on high horology. It’s informative and entertaining. Please keep making these kind of videos.
It's simply art. I'm in love. If I owned one, I would be constantly taking it off saying, "Never mind the dial, look at this" before insisting they coo over the movement!
This is watch making at its finest 👌, if my wallet wasn't emaciated I would definitely add this to my collection. Teddy I love how detailed and intelligent your review are, great job brother
Well Teddy, I didn't think that I was going to like that being well out of my league and all, but it was fascinating. There's a sense of peace in the architecture of the movement. I enjoyed the serenity of the watch and the beautiful photography. 👍
There are watches in existence right now that will be worth hundreds of millions of dollars one day. I think the Patek Henry Graves and the Patek Grandmaster Chime in steel will be considered works of art like Salvator Mundi or the Mona Lisa are today.
Well done, Teddy. Keep giving attention to Glashutte brands. I think all of them offer high quality watches and some of them (especially Muhle, Union and Nomos) at a very good price-quality ratio ...
Much better ambiance, Teddy. The wood table brings back some of the warmth that was missing when you ditched your room aesthetic and adopted the clinical white table look. Keep this look going.
Gorgeous video of a gorgeous watch---thanks so much Teddy. Lange is way out of my price range at present, though I'm a big fan. This video is like watching an opera. Keep it coming!
That's a wow on another level. They're not letting the Swiss run away with the whole caboodle ...buying an outfit to fit the watch. hmm which one to buy ? Patek or the Lange ..lol
When it comes to dress watch, it's hard to go past Lange. One of the best and my favorite. If i am wearing this watch I wouldn't want it to slide under the shirt cuff☺️
Absolutely gorgeous watch, an indisputable artistic and technical tour-de-force, but the 36-hour power reserve feels really questionable to me for a perpetual calendar.
@@jugo1944 Likely, yes. I suppose the mechanical perpetual calendar is mostly a flex, anyway, given that even a superb mechanical watch could easily end up twenty minutes off every year and thus need frequent resetting. Sure is a heck of a flex, though. A. Lange & Söhne make incredible watches.
Agreed that this is the number one issue…Especially considering this is a manual wind so it will require you to pick this up daily. But hey, there are worse things to interact with on a daily basis. I can’t help but think of something like the vacheron twin beat that has two operating frequencies and will last 65 days when at the lower frequency.
This is where the genius of the 10 o’clock pusher comes in… each push advances all calendar indications by a day, making it a breeze to reset even after a period without running. Set the time, advance the calendar to the right date with a few pushes, and you’re good to go. No fiddling with the individual adjustments whatsoever. The power reserve is not really an issue here.
@@TeddyBaldassarre From time to time you think ALS should be in the Holy Trinity but then that VC twin beat you mention with a 65 day power reserve just elevates a brand like that.
Teddy, could you offer an explanation of the 5:42 timestamp issue of damaging the date mechanism when changing it between certain hours? I'm not familiar with the issue and would love to learn more. Thanks as always for great content and production quality.
Never change the date between 9 pm and 3 am. This is when the date change mechanism is already starting to set the date. If you put force on it, it can be destroyed. I move always the time to 6 am before I change the date.
Personally I make a difference between "dress watches" and "high complication watches". Considering the point of a complication watch, it is often in a "dress" style design and size is a normal trade-off for what is inside and a field of even more insane possible improvement. Such a piece do not deserve to be able to hide beneath a cuff anyway, I would like to see it every time :)
Teddy. please do a review/video of history and info on the JLC Sector Dial of the Master Control. I think it is the classiest "simple watch" I've seen under $10,000 and I can't find any online. Thanks. love you stuff.
What about a review of a watch from Breguet. Maybe the Breguet Tradition (perhaps the seconds retrograde). I don't think I ever saw you talk about this brand. 🤔

A. Lange & Söhne is my absolute favorite watch brand. I’d take one over Patek, Vacheron, or AP every time.
Yep! Every time!
That means you understand watches 👍👍
Hype isn't what makes watch better, it's craftsmanship that makes it perfect

Your macro shots look so perfect that if not for the tiny imperfections on the watch it could pass for a rendering!
Undeniable quality and passion.
Presentation as flawless as the watch itself. Only watches make me feel I deserve things I'll never be able to afford.
A. Lange & Söhne should be included in the Holy Trinity, thus making the Four Horsemen.
Rather have the Breguet as the fourth. But hey I can't afford any of them so whatever
Kick out AP and there will be place. Only thing they have is 40 years old Genta's Royal Oak.
