I bought the Metacat for my 90 year old cousin after she saw how much my 94 year old aunt loved her Joy4All dog. I fell in love so much that I decided to keep it for myself! 😂 Now I’ll have buy another one for her! She is rather tech-savvy and would prefer not having to change batteries and would enjoy unboxing it herself anyway.
I have a real toy poodle but this cat reminds me of my white toy poodle who past away 2 years ago. I put it where the poodle used to sleep and it brings back fond memories.
Metacat is pricier but better, IMO. Thanks for the recommendation.

I would definitely prefer the version 2.0 because he sounds exactly the way Tarzan used to sound like when I was little every summer when me and my dad went to our extended family in Sweden. I would be looking so much forward to seeing my Tarzan and he would run over to me and make this really cute, meowing noises and climb all over me 🧒🏻 🐈

All features considered, my nod goes to the Joy For All kitty. Neither are purr-fect, but "Joy" has (much better) eyes, whiskers, paw-pads & cute poses....Very nice review of each. Thank You for your efforts !
Correction: the Paw-Pads on Metacat are more realistic than "Joy`s."

For me, all of the good things about the Metacat are outweighed by how much I dislike the eyes. It’s a pity.
Totally Agree. I misspoke about the 'Joy kitty' having better paw pads; clearly Metacat`s are superior. I purchased a Joy For All kitty for a dear friend, who just lost her 'real' feline buddy, & she is absolutely THRILLED with the little robo-critter, who is doing a lovely job in easing her grief. @@lindagreene4385

Does it ever go on sale? I really want a MetaCat as I cannot own a real cat, I'm severely allergic to cats and I miss my childhood kitty who passed away of old age in 2017 ;w;
The first version did go on sale when version 2.0 was released so I expect that if they bring out a version 3.0 the second version (the one I have) will go on sale. Sorry to hear that your Kitty passed 😢
