great question! When the left hand plays notes that are higher than middle C, it's often written in the treble clef to make it easier to read. If it was in the bass clef, the notes would have to be written on ledger lines above the staff. Usually, at the beginning, you learn that the treble clef is for the right hand and the bass clef is for the left hand. But that's not always true :D Either hand can play in either clef, it just depends on how high or low the notes are, and making them easier to read. Good luck with your piano playing!
