My iodine came with a dropper, so I’d put a full dropper in either Listerine or water and gargle 30-45 seconds, three times a day. I got the idea from DrBeen Medical Lectures here on YT if anyone wants to check it out. It’s from a study he covered about a year ago.

Excellent video, I have been interested in health ever since losing both parents in 1977 & 1980. I worked at GNC vitamin store back in 1984 for a year. We had to take a 500-question test, back then. It seems like when you go to a vitamin store, if you can find one, they know very little. You did a great job in your live chat. People need to start taking care of their health instead of being brainwashed with all these test and shots. I haven't had any shots for over 50 years.

If you are vitamin D deficient, it typically takes MONTHS to get back to normal levels. Taking Vit D as you are feeling symptoms is too little too late. Be proactive.

Low magnesium levels cause low vitamin D. Personally I would get my magnesium status up first. We stopped taking vitamin D six or seven years ago and when tested, our levels are still good. We take magnesium 2 or 3 times a day, use magnesium lotion and eat food rich with magnesium.

    • @magnanimus9692
      @magnanimus9692 2 роки тому +5

@@thrivewithjesus5216 That might be due to simply individual differences in absorption or possibly diet (remember Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, meaning you need to take it with some form of fat such as animal fat, dairy, oils, etc in order for it to be absorbed into your blood).

    • @magnanimus9692

@@njsongwriter Good point. Magnesium is a bit of a troublemaker when it comes to electrolytes and vitamins. Low Magnesium causes low Vitamin D, low calcium, low potassium and low parathyroid hormone. To make things even more convoluted, high magnesium causes low calcium too, and high calcium causes low magnesium. I hope you get better. My efforts to leave my email address for contact are failing so far. Prof Hamblin is worth looking up - good papers on mechanism of photobiomodulation. Terms to search for are PBM and/or LLLT. Good device will have wavelength of 810nm (850nm is ok) 660nm wont penetrate too deep, so depends on application. For palm sized lamp you want 15-50W of power, so treatment time is reasonably short - from few minutes to 30-45mins if you are trying to reach deeper tissue.

We did experimenting with red light ( helium- neon lasers) at Research institute and hospital of Pathology of blood circulation in eighties (Siberia, Russia). Articles were published in New England medical journal. Yes, red light stimulates mitochondria and improve recovery.
And you need not buy expensive diode red light equipment. Just little red laser in dollar store will do even better. (Spectrum is better). And, by the way, infrared light from fireplace can be very helpful for healing. And inhaling steam with essential oils (pine tree) will be wonderful too.

Practice breathwork, become a nosebreather versus mouthbreathing as it protects oral and sinus health, regularly massage and acupressure on TMJ, sinuses, and facial lympathic drainage, and keep your mucus membranes healthy, clean and patent in order to reduce pathogen introduction.

My doctor recommended that I maintain at least 50 ng/mL of Vitamin D serum levels in my blood for a robust immune system. Being a person of dark skin color, who avoids sun, I need around 7,000 IUs of Vitamin D3 supplement to maintain this level. Majority of people in the United States are deficient in Vitamin D and need supplementation. If you are not sure about your vitamin D levels, do yourself a favour and get a Vitamin D blood test.

Thank you! Caught a cold that was mostly just annoying almost 3 weeks ago and lost taste and smell 6 days in on Christmas day. Taste came back pretty rapidly and have probably 95% at this point but smell has been much slower and I have probably 10-20% depending on the smell. I have been doing my anti-inflammatory smoothies and some chamomile and ginger tea which all seems to help but am hoping this will help speed the process. Thank you again!

@timshel Leo - Rather, it more likely means that: . My problem went away in 3 days and it could have been due to the peroxide, or it could have been due to a broad combination of factors that are difficult to sort out.

Something to consider also - get a nice hot shower & put on some clean clothes, and a fresh set of bed sheets & pillow cases each night. Don’t get too bogged down in ‘flu world’ in pyjamas, gross sheets, & sweaty hair. Cleaning yourself up speeds recovery - it’s a mental thing.

I agree with you, kelp is a great iodine supplement. I love the taste of the bull kelp by Harmonic Arts which is harvested from the West Coast of Canada.
Dr. Greger said we shouldn't eat kelp because it's way too high in iodine - that's when I decided it was the perfect supplement for me.

    • @joykelly440

I have not heard that, but have suspected this new symptom to be related to the rona. No big deal, some days it is worse than others. I would like to hear some information that gives a biological cause of tinnitus. My inkling is that it is somehow just inflammatory damage. My doc just told me to use fluticasone nasal spray to decrease inflammation in the inner ear through paranasal passages. I tried it. It didn't have longterm effectiveness.

I've been using it in spray bottle (10 - 30 ppm) for years. When I may have been exposed to any germs or feel even the slightest throat twinge, I spray 2-3 times toward back of throat while inhaling lightly, then swallow. I have nursed multiple family members through all phases of pandemic iterations and have not been ill myself. Knock on wood. :) Colloidal silver is an excellent tool in your arsenal.

Just don't take colloidal silver like a daily vitamin all the time. I mean, you'd have to go hog on the stuff for years but there was this one guy nicknamed Papa Smurf if you're in the mood for a scare. I learned about him in a physiology class.
