It's amazing how that entire reddit thread just got blinded by the words ''10 AM'' and then went off on a completely unrelated and made up argument that was never said in the initial tweet thread. Either incapable of reading or deliberately malicious.
The 10AM thing doesn’t even make any sense, because gamers for the most part are late risers. So even when optimising for schedules in Europe, you wouldn’t just pick a time that’s optimal for a the average non-gamer. You’d pick a time that’s optimal for the viewer base of CS specifically. Questions about people’s schedules are irrelevant, because the average person isn’t going to morph their schedule around CS.
I got to watch almost all of the games in NA and all I had to sacrifice only getting 3-4 hours of sleep before work. Normally I have to annoy all of my employees by putting the game on at work and constantly get interrupted by customers.
I actually think it would be so funny if you just tweeted "2+2=4" meaning nothing more than that and read the replies with people malding about what you "actually" mean
Every subreddit have terrible comments sections. Think it stems from the commenters have no status in terms of skill or knowledge so have to appeal the most virtuous. "LOOK AT THESE POOR ASIAN FANS"
The funny thing is that, in reality, this Major viewership is hardly bad (and even better than in many other Majors). The exception is the tournaments during the Covid era that had abnormal viewership.
I don’t agree with your contention that people in Asia will never be interested in Counter Strike. If Valve is trying to grow the audience by tapping into a billion people in East Asia it would make sense to try and make it easy for them to view the event. If you never try it will never happen. It may take a while to get people interested but it may catch on eventually…
I'm convinced Thorin haters have "classified" black bars on all the context that justifies what you say.

Dont know what Thorin said in the video, but he is wrong.

more than 50% difference from copenhagen average viewership... in a sport driven on sponsors and eyeballs that is a big difference
@@cd2194 Yes but they are trying to grow the esport in China, it's a big market and that should be considered.
