    So I bought these and didn't look at the minimum height requirement. Will be running 18x9.5 +40 rim, with a 265/35/18 tire. Will I have to roll the fenders because of this minimum height requirement?

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  2 роки тому

      You will most likely need to roll the fenders on this setup, though it's hard to say for sure because alignment settings can heavily influence fitment. I honestly would recommend rolling the fenders to anyone with that wheel and tire setup, even at stock height, it's really easy to catch the inside edge of the front fender when turning in a dip / curve, which would destroy the fender.

    This will be my first ever set of coilovers. I'm looking for around a 3in drop. Would you suggest new rear control arms for this much of a drop?

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  2 роки тому +1

      I would recommend doing rear control arms for that much of a drop. I imagine you will also be running non-stock wheels / tires and having the extra adjustment with the control arms will be super helpful in dialing the final fitment.

      @@factionfab5834 I’m running 225/40/R18’s with some 18 x 9.5 inch wheels. So they have a smaller sidewall with a good amount of stretch, so I wasn’t sure if the adjustment would be needed. Thank you!

    So on the website images I don’t see the adjustable knob on top for stiffness or softness but I see it on a few videos I can find…. Is it on the FL coils?

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому

      All FactionFab coilovers have adjustable damping, including the FL-Spec. I will work on adding a photo including all the additional components to our website, including the damping adjuster knob.

    I bought my car with these already installed, curious if I can buy the adjusting knob separate?

    Which out of the 3 would you recommend to have the most comfortable ride in the softer settings?

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому +1

      The F-Spec is definitely the softest option. Softer spring rates and longer shock travel compared to the other options.

    I have a clunking noise when I turn, would you happen to know what the noise might be?

    • @factionfab5834

      There are a few potential causes, for diagnosis I'd recommend emailing us at sales@factionfab.com so we can talk specifics.

    Just ordered a set. If I want to drop my car 1.5 inches what would the measurements for the front and rear with the threads need to be approximately?

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  4 роки тому +2

      The motion ratio on the front is about 0.95:1 on the front and 0.8:1 in the rear. We dont have the exact spec to give you the exact ride height. But if you take the max height in the install instructions and then work backwards with some simple math you should be able to get to the height you are after. Hope this helps

    Does running it that low cause ur axle trouble ? I lowered it pretty low not maxed out when I took it for a service they said it was leaking on both sides. I didn’t get a instructions manual to tell me what then recommended height was

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому

      Going really low does require other supporting mods and research to ensure durability, maintenance, and even safety. We don't recommend any specific ride height as that is the advantage (and risk) of going with adjustable suspension setups.

    Hi I just installed the fl spec coilovers and during test drives damping set all the way hard seems to bounce alot and when set all the way soft bounces the same??? Do they need time to settle or something else??

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому +1

      Anthony, "bounce" is a term often used to describe different motions, and at both ends of the adjustment range you are likely reaching outside the optimum adjustment range. If the car seems to oscillate up and down multiple times after a bump like the way water ripples, this is a sign of the damping being set too soft. If the suspension is not absorbing the bumps and causes the car to move more, that is usually too stiff. We highly recommend starting towards the middle and making small adjustments of 3-5 clicks to find the spot that you prefer.

    I want to drop my car about an inch but still keep it comfortable, would these be ideal or would the F spec be better

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому

      The FL-Spec has a minimum drop of 2" in the rear (the video has a shot of the car at that maximum ride height), so if 1" is your goal these might be slightly out of reach. The F-Specs are very comfortable though, so that sounds like it might be the best option anyway!

    Does the fr spec go this low

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому

      They do not, this ride height is only possible on the FL-Spec. The install instructions hosted on our website contain a table with ride height range across all the different models and coilover options if you want to see specifics!

    Front and rear adjustable camber ??

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  4 роки тому

      Front only due to geometry of the suspension. To do the rear you would need adjustable LCAs

    should I expect clunking sounds as like most coilovers do

    • @factionfab5834
      @factionfab5834  3 роки тому

      Though coilovers are by nature more noisy than stock, clunking shouldn't be an issue. If you're having unexpected noises like this, shoot us an email and we can walk through some diagnostics.
