We have had this bench ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg for five years now and it is still holding up strong with minimal signs of wear! So much so that I decided to get another one to store other stuff. The first one is still beautiful, strong and is easy to clean. It’s been in our living room and we store toys and blankets in it and it really holds quite a bit of stuff. I purchased a similar one two years ago from Aldi and let me tell you that one fell apart in less than six months of use. Get this one if you’re looking. Seriously worth it. Five years already and I can’t believe it looks this good and has held up for the price! Awesome bench, the new one I just got is identical.
I thought I was a steel only fabricator until I got a house and went for it remodeling it. I learned that I was just a doer, doesn't matter what media wood, steel, plastic all you need these days is a will to do it and a budget for the right tools. As you get better you get better tools.
You and your family are loved! It's heartwarming to see others comment with well-wishes and prayers for you all and the soon to be born baby. I'll add my prayers as well. Thanks for your videos and for sharing wholesome entertainment the way you do.
I think you did a great job. You got a lot of great friends. That's a must in life. I'm sure you're a great friend too. Praying blessings around the birth of your new baby. God bless you.
Glad to see that you are not afraid to purchase older tools. They may not have all the bells and whistles of a brand new tool, but they are usually capable of producing good results. In some cases, tools from yesterday were built with more weight and are more solid when being used. I bought my table saw in 1975, it still performs flawlessly. I wouldn't trade it for a comprable one made today.
When I was an apprentice carpenter I was getting lazy and comfortable with the table saw, I was cutting down some architraves and moved my hand over the blade to catch the off cut on the other side and didn't lift my hand high enough, I didn't lose a finger but it grabbed my thumb and cut down the middle to the bone, hurt like a b!tch and bled like a pig. Exciting time with the new baby mate! I'm up to 5 sons, keep em coming brother.
Looks very nice, great work with this project! And you're closing in on baby #2! Our second just turned one and everyone keeps saying don't blink. Enjoy the early stages, they're very fast and always changing. Prayers for healthy momma and baby and a smooth delivery. ❤️
Nice work Adam glade to see the project turned out very nice. Also likeed seeing you useing the new tools the ( red ) ones great work, your friend from the HD.
Beautiful work, I enjoy the video and the process that you used to make the finished product. You don't have to be a professional to make a product that you are proud to display, satisfaction of completion of the product is your reward and a plus is your mate being as happy with the product that you produce as you are.
Adam, recommendation...put together a playlist for you remodel/addition. I was just telling my wife yesterday, "you've got to see how this guy on UA-cam added on a mudroom and garage."
Hi Adam! Man you slammed this project to the mat. You are right it looks perfect from here. That said you can always look back at this project after completing future ones to see how you’ve grown. I love the new tools you have purchased. Maybe in a future update you can do a review on your new woodworking tools, likes & dislikes. See you in the next installment.
A great start to my Sunday morning! The project came out very nicely and I applaud you for your economical approach to tooling up your woodworking efforts! Prayers for the new one and for your spouse as this exciting new chapter arrives! Thanks for another great video, stay well and stay safe!
Great start to your shop Adam, way to go shopping the deals on Marketplace👍🏼 Praying that the delivery goes well for momma and baby! Bless’ns to ya, Tedd
Looks great on camera. In case you didn’t know, you are going in from the wrong side with the pocket screws. The screw is pointing towards the corner of the piece you are screwing in to, leaving very little wood on either side of the screw and making a weak joint. Instead of the pocket hole being on the inside, they should be on the outside, screwing away from the corner of the other piece. Cosmetically challenging with the pocket holes on the outside but it looks like they would be hidden away on your project.
We can be our own worst critics when it comes to making things...you did a really nice job on the cabinets...I was wondering how long it would take you to enter into woodworking after you bought the sawmill. It is a wonderful hobby!!! Hope you enjoy it for years to come!
Adam, here is a challenge for you. Make two identical plywood panels 12”x12”. Paint one with your sprayer and the second with a six inch foam or short nap roller and see what difference in the finish. Personally, I really like the rolled on finish. Great job on the mud room coat racks.
I got an old unisaw and attached a router table to it and bought the long mobile base. I can push it around but it does live in one place in my shop. Next step is to add a fold down outfeed table to my table saw. I have those harbor freight rollers and they are useful but an outfeed table would be great.
Shop looks great & your hall tree is super!!!!! If I may make one suggestion Adam, when you get your router, look for a good router table. Hope the little gets here soon. Until next time have a great day
Really nice project. Passes the 10ft rule. If you can't see it from 10ft away, it's not a defect. One bit of advice, put a band saw and a drill press in your wish list. You won't regret it. Best of luck with the soon to be new addition to your family.
Great job looks good. When you going to trim out your doors? Lol. I would recommend just 1x4’s painted white. Can get fancy with some wider strips up top.
I bought 1 sheet of 3/4 plywood the other day at Lowe's $77.00, I liked to had a coronary! My little 6x10 extension is gonna take a while to finish with these costs.
Impressive, Adam!! You missed the perfect chance to prank us - phone beeps, you check, it's your wife texting that it's time to get to the hospital!! 😳😉 I was really expecting that!! 😆 Your videos are so interesting & so worth watching - every single one!! Thank you!! God bless you and your family. I'm praying for y'all & your new baby!! 🙏💖🙏
Great video as always. Awesome editing and content. FYI - I think they make a Router Attachment for the table saw. Thanks and congrats on the new edition.
Next time you run the Table saw with that coiled up extension cord, see how warm/hot it got ? I have a picture some where, Where one melted into a big glob on a carpet with 1500 w heater. Thanks Adam. Mike M.
Hey Adam, first and foremost, congrats on the soon to be new family member!! Now, don't forget to spoil Lana for the rest of your life!! I firmly believe a happy wife does lead to a happy life. Getting ready to mark 36yrs married. What brand and model of track saw is that? I'm looking for an affordable track saw. I have a straight edge, but it is only 5ft long.
I would not have thought the spraying of the caraccas would have worked in the cold of the snow. Nice job on the whole project. Glad to see you made the deadline :-)) Is the top cabinet part just sitting on the bench ?
Nice mud room bench. Looking forward to seeing how your shop comes together I'm in the market for a track saw, what made you decide to get the Grizzly?
ADAM, nice build! Did you buy the plans or draw up your own? Good job on the tool budget, but I'll help ya spend some more! LOL...Free standing drill press,. 14 in band saw... 36in Wood lathe.. 3hp plunge router and carbide bits. You got a great start on your shop, just a thought, buy good tools in the onset, they'll last your lifetime. "buy once, cry once" as you did with the chainsaw. Took me bout 20 years to get my shop to this point, but you'll need them when you open up new avenues in wood working. Stay healthy and congrats on your new baby!
Adam, since you have/ had one I'll ask u. Just got a holzfforma 372 and it's leaking gas B4 even trying to start it. Did you have similar problem or maybe later on even, if so what was issue? Leaks worse laying on side than sitting upright. Haven't looked hard yet, waiting for response from seller ( got on ebay ). Or maybe anyone reading could shed some light. Thnx
Do you have a video on insulation your garage doors? If not tell me what you used & if you would change anything. Pray everyone & everything goes well with #2 baby & wife.
I am the planner for the benches… we looked at so many on Pinterest and found a few ideas from several that we used ideas from. I can tell you that the long sides are 15” deep and the seats are 21” deep with a 1 and 1/2” seat overhang. The straight bench was 74” wide with 3 equal cubbies. The L-bench is 84”wide and the short L was 44” wide. He did leave a good sized opening in the corner and reinforced that seat area with 2x4 support. He put 1/2 trim boards on the wall to create the look of cubbies and to screw the hooks into. Painted the wall white inside so it all looks like the same unit. Seats are 18” high. If you need any other dimensions- let me know. I am happy to help. Oh I also talked him into the crown molding on top! It has completely changed coming into the house to a comfy area
I love your comment about having pretty much all you need for your wood shop.....like that is ever going to happen.
😉😆😆😆👍
Yeah I’m sure as we dive deeper into wood working we’ll be adding more equipment

That cross cut at 4:48 is one of the most dangerous cuts to do with table saw, massive potential for a kick back,
Good luck with the second baby! Great video again.
Well done Adam enjoy watching your videos congratulations to you and your wife on the baby stay safe
You and your family are loved! It's heartwarming to see others comment with well-wishes and prayers for you all and the soon to be born baby. I'll add my prayers as well. Thanks for your videos and for sharing wholesome entertainment the way you do.
Good stuff Adam!!! You have become a woodworker!!!!
I think you did a great job. You got a lot of great friends. That's a must in life. I'm sure you're a great friend too. Praying blessings around the birth of your new baby. God bless you.

Great job Adam! Looks perfect in the mud room.
I am completely impressed Adam. Todd at GSW.
Great job, almost as good as the pros and you saved lots of money. My wife made one of these built-ins for the house last summer.
We need a hall tree and I like this one best of all. Great design.
Just remember you made it. I think it looks great. Like the fact of using the Kreg system. Keep it up.
Very nice. Looking forward to more projects.
Nice build! I was glad to see the riving knife on there after a while.
Film the next one! This was fun to watch. The one that's going in the other corner will be just as interesting, if not better.
Adam, Congrats to your family for the upcoming Baby, Nice job on the project.
Great job; can tell you’ve been thinking about this project for a while
Amazing job Adam! Love it!
Way better than the box store buddy. Great work
Looks very nice, great work with this project!

I think you did a great job on the new project. Praying for you and your wife on the arrival of your second child.
Excellent for your first real wood working attempt mate, that's a nice piece of furniture you have built.
I’m getting ready to build one of these in our house, sometime this winter. Getting some ideas here. Thanks! -Ryan

Hey Adam! Just a suggestion. Mount some 2x to the saw horses. That way you cut and never need to stop. Replace when needed
Good luck to you mate on the next one, if you're on the fence film it we'll watch it
Good job! You have to start some where. ❤
Great job Adam!!

You did a awesome job!!!!
Nice looking wood shop 👍
Good work Dad.

Doug's vacuum, with a cyclone works fine for me.
Great job looks good. When you going to trim out your doors? Lol. I would recommend just 1x4’s painted white. Can get fancy with some wider strips up top.
Nice job....time to clean out that firebox of ashes!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!

Do it yourself IKEA furniture. Looks great and fits perfectly.
Great project!
Love it great job Man!
Haha, here I was thinking 'bro, you need an edge guide for that saw'...
He needs some help on the table saw the way that wood kept pulling away from the fence.
Awesome video thank you 🙏
👍 nice job
Next time you run the Table saw with that coiled up extension cord, see how warm/hot it got ?
I have a picture some where, Where one melted into a big glob on a carpet with 1500 w heater.
Thanks Adam. Mike M.
Handy man 👍
Good job
You’re really mastering your woodworking skills Adam. Very nice job! I really like your wood stove. What kind is it?
It is the englander 2400
I need to make this plus a tower cabinet on both ends
Nice video
Hey Adam, first and foremost, congrats on the soon to be new family member!! Now, don't forget to spoil Lana for the rest of your life!! I firmly believe a happy wife does lead to a happy life. Getting ready to mark 36yrs married.
What brand and model of track saw is that? I'm looking for an affordable track saw. I have a straight edge, but it is only 5ft long.
Nice 👍
Tools come along with the projects, you have just started grasshopper!
very nice
I bought a track saw and now I use it more for the fine fnishing than my tablesaw..
I would not have thought the spraying of the caraccas would have worked in the cold of the snow.
Nice job on the whole project. Glad to see you made the deadline :-))
Is the top cabinet part just sitting on the bench ?
Yes but it is secured to the wall
@@HometownAcres Great Job for first efforts :-))
Nice mud room bench. Looking forward to seeing how your shop comes together I'm in the market for a track saw, what made you decide to get the Grizzly?
Reviews and price. The Grizzly was very accordance and should do everything I need it to
ADAM, nice build! Did you buy the plans or draw up your own?

I found a picture I liked on the internet and took that and ran with it
Track saw and a sheet of styrofoam insulation is the best way to breakdown sheet goods.
Thnx
It’s all nice dude, next time put some 2x across those horses to hold your wood from falling
How high from the seat did you put the hooks? Thanks
Do you have a video on insulation your garage doors? If not tell me what you used & if you would change anything.
Pray everyone & everything goes well with #2 baby & wife.
Hey SawStop - send Adam one of your job site saws.
Happen to have any plans for this build? Cut list, etc? I’ve looked but hoping I haven’t overlooked it. Thanks!
I am the planner for the benches… we looked at so many on Pinterest and found a few ideas from several that we used ideas from.

Oh I also talked him into the crown molding on top! It has completely changed coming into the house to a comfy area
Still need a solar, wind kiln! For drying that lumber!
How did you attach the upper portion to the lower bench/seat?
Are u gonna match the stain color of the wood bench to the door trim? That would make the room perfect
We’re going to go with white trim
how do you attach the side panels to the bench. I guess I missed that.
Great video! What grade of plywood did you use? B/C?
Yes. It was $56/sheet. The cabinet grade stuff was $96/sheet
You really need to wear safety glasses!
Have a relative that lost an eye from home paint spayer!
Dougggg!
What type of nail gun do you use?
Add a good router table along with the router.
