I’m going to be a contrarian, and going out saying that Garling likely killed xebec, leading to Garling winning the godValley competition tournament winner. Garling became champion of God Valley for killing Xebec Garp was likely disgusted about the whole event of God Valley that they claimed him as a hero, because he had to Tag Team with Roger, and secretly had assistance from celestial dragon Garling. Xebec was likely so strong they needed three people to defeat him. Marines, pirates and celestial dragon.
Imo its more like garling fought whitebeard and other rocks pirate members but garp and roger fought xebec but instead giving roger the credit garling and garp got the title a champion and a hero. Or in other scenario garling already gain the highest point and the rocks pirates trying to wreck havoc in god valley.
I don’t think this is right. My theory is that Garp hates the Celestials…. So it’d make sense that he’d be disgusted because of the slave hunt. I believe it’s more likely that Roger pulled up for whatever reason and maybe even randomly and shut those games down. Remember what Sengoku said about Garos position at marineford? It’d make sense that the look on Garos face was because he had a flashback to god valley where he sided with the pirates to stop the slave hunting. I think Garp asked Roger to help him and that’s why Roger intrusted Ace to him because he saw his heart had good intentions. Xebec I think comes in whereas someone was a slave in the island that he cared for which is why he attacked. This would also give Kaidos soft heart for King some credence since he saw Xebecs actions and willingness to start a war for one of his own. Maybe Garland was simply the one that delivered the final blow to Xebec or maybe he’s a fraud and executed him after Roger dealt with him. Oda said that the race for the One Pice would look something like a battle royal towards the end of the story and 3 factions at God Valley gives this credence as well.

The first time Kuma saved the straw hats is after he knocks out the celestial dragon. At this point he has already declared war on the government. He’s also smiling on his wanted poster. Also dragons son. Or did he know about luffys fruit through his religious studies.
My guess is that at some point in time he had a conversation with Vegapunk, maybe during one of their "upgrades", about Dragon's son who was starting to become a regular in the news papers where Vegapunk revealed the same thing he did to the Straw Hat crew; there is no recorded history of a rubber rubber fruit power but there is the sun god Nika fruit that has those very properties.
I'm keeping the expectations low for Oda showing to much of the god valley incident. There's so much stuff in Kuma's life and the core of his flashback is the reason for him being turned into a cyborg.
Possibly, Garling was trying to be a Gorsea but he had to win the tournament and chose the right treasure chest. Possibly the one with his son in it. The Roger pirates stole the chest with a devil fruit AND Shanks inside. They gave the devil fruit to Dragon to save his life because Garp helped them.
Sanji is the test subject for new opponent to be power scaled , because Oda favorite character is always out of haki, and a second favorite Zoro, who's always hidden or losted or fighting somebody.
I think it was very clear in how Oda wrote the dialogue that Kuma and his father were the abslute last of them. Otherwise there was no reason to have a character point that out.

Great video! I just want to warn this is long but nothing negative about you or your video - more my own thoughts on Garling. I'm curious, how do you feel about Garling being "distinguishing himself" at God Valley - not from any fight with pirates but from hunting most likely & largely defenseless natives and weakened slaves? I find it disappointingly underwhelming for him as a character. I don't think I'd consider him weak like Charloss, probably not on Gorosei level either - I don't know where to put him and it makes me wonder if he was introduced to confirm Shanks' lineage and further demonstrate the casual cruelty of celestial dragons (as if we need the reminder Oda, you crazy!). But his appearances have also been at points where the hidden culture of the celestial dragons is glimpsed. It's shocking that a celestial dragon has the authority to sentence another to be executed but I guess disputes are probably settled in extreme ways among them. I wonder if it was solely Garling's judgement or if the majority voted in favor of the execution? What kind of system do they have to maintain order amongst themselves to keep them from figuratively eating each other? They seem like they'd fight each other simply out of boredom. Like some people on the internet a lot of us hear about. The message I got is that celestial dragons aren't so untouchable if most of the others are against them. Disagreeing with what may be the majority is dangerous even to other celestial dragons it seems. Made me sad for the one that was executed - Mjosgard Donquixote? Not sure if I got that spelling right. I hope Garling participated in the fight among pirates but then again why would he? I can see him leaving it to Garp since it's literally his job as a marine to fight pirates, unless he gets involved out of boredom because he seems like quite a skilled swordsman even though we see him attack/kill someone defenseless and unarmed in a sneaky way like a weasel. We also can't say how strong Rocks was, so it's possible that if Garp agreed to team up with Roger then things had to have been dire. It's not much a of a reach to consider that perhaps Whitebeard was clashing with Garling at the time. Potential disappointment with Garling aside I'm still very curious about him even though I'm expected to not like him any more than Charloss. I'm more so curious about what Garling may or may not know regarding Shanks and how much Shanks may or may not know about the Figarland family. Most of my curiosity is focused on Shanks and those around or connected to him mysteriously.

Was choking out Usopp also part of his mission? Kizaru only picks on those he knows he can beat. If he knew he could beat Luffy he would have tried to take out Luffy quickly and then be done with his job to kill VP but he knew Luffy was too much too handle.
However you spin it, mission or not, it's not a good look for Kizaru when Luffy can tank a few of his attacks perfectly fine, but one attack from Luffy is putting him in that state. But if Kizaru fans want to hide the truth of this behind it being a draw then sure, do you. The ones that can read the context of the situation know what really happened.

I’m going to be a contrarian, and going out saying that Garling likely killed xebec, leading to Garling winning the godValley competition tournament winner.
Garling became champion of God Valley for killing Xebec
Garp was likely disgusted about the whole event of God Valley that they claimed him as a hero, because he had to Tag Team with Roger, and secretly had assistance from celestial dragon Garling.
Xebec was likely so strong they needed three people to defeat him. Marines, pirates and celestial dragon.
Imo its more like garling fought whitebeard and other rocks pirate members but garp and roger fought xebec but instead giving roger the credit garling and garp got the title a champion and a hero. Or in other scenario garling already gain the highest point and the rocks pirates trying to wreck havoc in god valley.
I don’t think this is right. My theory is that Garp hates the Celestials…. So it’d make sense that he’d be disgusted because of the slave hunt. I believe it’s more likely that Roger pulled up for whatever reason and maybe even randomly and shut those games down.
Remember what Sengoku said about Garos position at marineford? It’d make sense that the look on Garos face was because he had a flashback to god valley where he sided with the pirates to stop the slave hunting.
I think Garp asked Roger to help him and that’s why Roger intrusted Ace to him because he saw his heart had good intentions.

The first time Kuma saved the straw hats is after he knocks out the celestial dragon. At this point he has already declared war on the government. He’s also smiling on his wanted poster. Also dragons son. Or did he know about luffys fruit through his religious studies.

I'm curious, how do you feel about Garling being "distinguishing himself" at God Valley - not from any fight with pirates but from hunting most likely & largely defenseless natives and weakened slaves? I find it disappointingly underwhelming for him as a character. I don't think I'd consider him weak like Charloss, probably not on Gorosei level either - I don't know where to put him and it makes me wonder if he was introduced to confirm Shanks' lineage and further demonstrate the casual cruelty of celestial dragons (as if we need the reminder Oda, you crazy!). But his appearances have also been at points where the hidden culture of the celestial dragons is glimpsed. It's shocking that a celestial dragon has the authority to sentence another to be executed but I guess disputes are probably settled in extreme ways among them. I wonder if it was solely Garling's judgement or if the majority voted in favor of the execution? What kind of system do they have to maintain order amongst themselves to keep them from figuratively eating each other? They seem like they'd fight each other simply out of boredom. Like some people on the internet a lot of us hear about. The message I got is that celestial dragons aren't so untouchable if most of the others are against them. Disagreeing with what may be the majority is dangerous even to other celestial dragons it seems. Made me sad for the one that was executed - Mjosgard Donquixote? Not sure if I got that spelling right. I hope Garling participated in the fight among pirates but then again why would he? I can see him leaving it to Garp since it's literally his job as a marine to fight pirates, unless he gets involved out of boredom because he seems like quite a skilled swordsman even though we see him attack/kill someone defenseless and unarmed in a sneaky way like a weasel. We also can't say how strong Rocks was, so it's possible that if Garp agreed to team up with Roger then things had to have been dire.
