One of my family members was in what was called The Mountain & Arctic Warfare Cadre, this was back in the 70s. I believe this is the modern day equivalent. Total respect to the volunteers who go through Military training at this level.
Yes you are correct. My brother was attached to RMS-Condor based in Abroath Scotland.
Thanks for posting videos like this bro! I love getting new info that I didn’t know about and even better being told it by a cool guy😎
No worries mate, looking to do a lot more videos like this for you all, great to hear you enjoy them and thank you 🙏 🤙🤙
@@CombatReadyHQ yeah no problem I love me some military info lol especially with my dream job! Just keep up the good work!
@@Sergei_JGHghosthunting go for it mate and will do thank you
You haven't included the joint force chef course!..... No one has ever passed it!
More confirmed kills than the SAS! LOL "One f*cking sausage!"
If you watch 1985 series behind the lines it follows prospective ml2 recruits through this arduous course and within the corps it is the most respected branch
Thanks mate I’ll see if I can find it
The full series is on UA-cam. Yes it is regarded as the most arduous course within nato.
They took us on our mountain and artic warfare course in Inverness & Norway
I’ve done an ML course and I’m not harder than UKSF Operators.
Hahah I think you are mate! Hard as nails 🤙
I believe the ML3 course was short-lived and no longer exists.
Ah really ok, was there on research I done but maybe it has, thank you
They have to be AWT ( Artic Warfare Trained) first do they Not
ML 2 course …. Best avoided.
The real Snowmen.
Marines are Tier 2 ops inc ML
Oh middle class chaps 😂😂😂
Do they use Mr or ms or Mrs?
Yes my military duty was in vitango Esrsnge över soppero and så on
My unit was a tent down to - 38 warm in tent but asking from early morning to late night I those temperature was not worn
Primer enemy swet wet clothes, and standing still
Look in to the unit K4 Arvidsjaur Lapplands "rangers"
We and dem and my unit was all about sub artic terrain
Out task be effektiv where there is no roads 3 to 6 miles (swedish miles) range on skis to hunt the enemy and just "hurase" enemy troops
Then Sweden dismounted the military and now building it up again
'Vitangi*
Buy the way we did it I 10month whit major time in tent exercises in the field
cant believe people like these exist. absolutely dedicated lot. I am inspired to try and become somewhat similar.
They are an elite bread of people, go for it mate
M L Free Course?
Saw the header and thought "Yeah, right"
I know but they are truly are an elite and tough unit
Well just a load of WAFFLE from you and then your merchandising promo....NOT of any interest.
I thought there would be some action...IT WAS A CON....BIG THUMBS DOWN
clickbait bullshit not even a tier 1 unit or they wouldn't be training royal marines during peacetime.
They are you muppet !!
Would have been better if there were some snippets or pictures you could flash as you're describing the course, if possible! Anyway, there's a real old documentary of the course:
ua-cam.com/video/TXJb_zlq7r4/v-deo.htmlsi=2RDMFfHP9UE4lyfc
Apparently, an Aussie SASR member got dropped from the course for not meeting the physical standards required 😅
Thanks mate, yeah maybe I can redo it in the future and add snippets on for you.
I’ll check that documentary out, thank you
I think this unit operates out of 3 commando brigade Stonehouse Barracks Plymouth.
Although dated, there's a good documentary called 'Behind The Lines', which covers the ML course from strat to finish.
Some great footage of the training exercises carried out on some pretty rugged cornish coastline .
Lol, you soon find out whether or not if you have a head for heights .
Am still trying to get this signals flag to u bud a can give u ma email address in private so a can send it for your man Hunt
Surely the title is a joke
No mate. They are one elite unit
@@CombatReadyHQ I know that, but can you honestly say it’s tougher and harder then special forces, I mean the fact they’re not even classes as special forces should answer that question for you
@@lachlanchester8142 The SF are to some extent jack of all trades, these guys are specialists. Not just in climbing cliffs and the like, but operating in the Arctic for months at a time in extreme conditions. They have had SAS guys come to train with them, who couldn't cope with the extreme cold and had to leave the course. The training for the Mountain Leaders is tough like you wouldn't believe.
@@stevebarlow3154 the SAS has a mountain troop though… which is being a SF jack of all trades as well as all the stuff these ML’s do
@@lachlanchester8142 Indeed, I remember a couple of these guys climbing Mt Everest.
You have forgotten 148 battery !
