I know pretty much all their albums front to back (Excluding scabdates) and this song Is still one of my favorites by them. I know most people hate octaherdron but i take it for what it is and i love it! of course if you compare it to De-loused in the comatorium its going to lose. But if your'e comparing any of their albums to each other,you clearly know nothing about this band.

They started tapping into something else.. as said by them in interviews, they started fearing for their lives by an unexplained presence.. Roadies from their band started dying. Songs about demon possessions, dark shit, and the unnatural, The Mars Volta is a trip if you really know their history..
Most of happened only during the recording of Bedlam. It is believed all of that was caused by their measing around with soothsayer. A ouji board. Ive never heard about roadies dying, however, but there was an incident with one of the recording engineers suffering a nervous breakdown, and refusing to give up the recorded tapes. They ended up paying someone to break into his house to take the tapes back. You might wanna check yr stories..;)
Death At A Rave! dude weird bc every time i hear this songs i feel demonic energies and it reminds me of spirits big time. The last time before this that i played this song i got a really bad feeling and then my car breaks locked up and i went over a 70 ft clif and was 10 feet from going into a lake.
