Our first #DIY of #2014! We're starting off easy, all you need is some popsicle sticks and glue to make this adorable mini #pallet coaster.
PS. we actually filmed some of this in #starbucks, lol just a little awkward!
TheSorryGirls lol, that is awkward
These would be great to stand small plants in like a cactus or herbs
I personally think the whole pallet trend is hilarious because my family owns a pallet company😂
they are perfect to display soaps!
Wow! I just made two of these and they're awesome!
They look radical with mini mason jars filled with Cherry Coke! (;
Gonna get a model Hi-Lo to hold these up on my kitchen table! Awesome!
I made these, they are really awesome and I have dropped them onto my concrete kitchen floor many times and they are not at all damaged. Also if u don't have hot glue, wood glue works fine, it just takes a bit longer to dry.
These Mini-Pallet coasters are adorable, and I cannot wait to make some for myself. Awesome video.
That diy wood stain is genius.
I had NO clue this was the sorry girls! Ive been watching you guys for a couple of years, no wonder I was drawn to this video!
Wow so awesome!!! I actually happen to have a bag of Popsicle sticks just sitting around.... Thanks for giving them a purpose! I'm looking forward to making them !
So cute!
I made some of these and painted them pink and white for Valentines day! Thank you so much for this cute idea!
What color nail polish is on your nails? O: I've been looking everywhere for a soft color like that!
Loved this video and I'm making some of these for a fund raiser!!! I have a question- I like the idea of using the coffee instead of stain but do you know how it holds up with the condensation from an iced drink? Does it leave a ring mark from the glass?
aweome. love the silver finishing touches
I made one of these and they look sooo cute! Thanks a lot! btw i think the diy wood stain was so creative!
Awesome, very creative!
This is so amazing!!
These are really, really cute!
this is so cool! but is it sturdy enough to support a mug?
Nicely done.
this is really cool!
the background song tho
Awesome DIY! I can't wait to try it :)
love your channel!!
Awesome! Will make tonight! 👏
These are the cutest thing ever!!
These are so cute!
This may seem really random, but do you think you could coat these with modpodge and use them for holding soap, kinda like a soap drainer?
loove this!, so easy & cute.
These are awesome thanks!
My mom worked at a hardware store when I was a kid. And, for marketing I assume, a company used to send her post its that came on a mini pallet that looks exactly like this. I always thought they would make cool coasters 😂
Does that hot glue hold really well? Thanks for the vid!!
Fantastic! Thanks for posting :)
im getting so many good ideas from you guys! guna get married soon and i have so many good ideas for our place! YOU"RE LIFE SAVERS THANK YOU!
Love this video
i think tea would stain more. and you can use other foods too if you want more colors:D red cabbage would make an awesome purple color
and id probably want to put a layer of felt/plastic on the bottom to stop any other moisture form going through. but other than that im so getting some popcicle sticks and making these guys :D
vinager added to coffee or tea also helps the stain to penetrate much much more
Very Cute! Well done. :)
Love this.
That. Song. Though.
I know this is waayyyyy late but I would say to stack sticks on the sides and only do the center stick vertical for looks, also I would suggest an actual wood stain instead of coffee or tea and then if people are worried about condensation I would just attach a thin bit of cork material on the bottom side and you're set.
Still a really cool project and something small and cute that I will be making with my daughter for sure :)
Thanks for the idea !
just made it and it turned out so cute
This is too cute!
Soo cute ! I am totally trying this !
do it! we'd love to see! insta or tweet us.
I liked the background music myself. Good video.
Thanks! This really helped.
so cute!!
I made this coaster and it is so cute! The only downside is that water leaks through the cracks so i put a square piece of paper under it. I used 13 sticks total. It was so easy!
Wat if I dnt wanna cut d round edges..wil dat b okay??
love these
that is so cute, thanks for sharing!!!!
This is so cute! But wouldn't the perspiration on the cup/mug roll down and slip between the spaces, getting your table wet? The whole point of coasters is to prevent those rings you get from the perspiration...just thought I'd bring that up!
omg loooove that
Is there a better way for me to cut these, other than using scissors? Mine are splintering and some breaking.
Table saw
These are cool, but for cold drinks, the condensation of the outside of the cup will drip in between the cracks of the pallet. Looks cool but engineered incorrectly.
+jamesthemacgeek It would also not be greatly stable I don't think, I think to make it more stable they should put more sticks on the bottom of the palette.
@@Lucy-io7pt it should be plenty stable, but if you want more support put more of the ones in the middle/ on their side- not the bottom.
Do you spray something on them. I am more worried about drinks that have a lot of condensation.
You can paint a layer of mod podge which will seal it and waterproof it, and if that doesnt work, you can always buy a small sample of wood sealant from a hardware store!
That is so cute and axing looks hard but is easy thank u soooo much
i love the idea! i have the sticks but i dont have a glue gun 😔 BUT i have krazy glue, i wanna keep the edges on the sticks... just wanna see how it turns out
Can you use food coloring to stain them?
it,s washable?
That was cool
beatiful
Love the coasters I'm doing them right now :D and Can you guys do a diy in something that I could give my mom for her birthday?! I'm so clueless right now. her birthday is next month btw (:
I like it
YAY ARCTIC MONKEYSSSS!
Thats a weird song.. I LIKE IT!
does it work with normal school glue too?
+kawaiicupcakesl I'd avoid it as school glue is washable, therefore if it gets wet (like coasters do) it will disintegrate.
What is the song playing in this tutorial??? I love it!! :) :)
Love your videos!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
It says in the description
I like how you make your Popicle Sticks mini pallents l am going to try to make some for my table so it will look lovely on my tablet cloth 😁
I would have added felt to the bottom because the wood would still scratch the table surface and the condensed water drops from cups or cans can still drip down through the cracks I would have also added a clear finish so the wood wont absorb too much water..
Or you can put a dot of glue on each corner so they don't slide easily either
Wow so cute love them :)
Thank you! :)
Oh the first time someone answered me on youtube :D
Cute! :)
Like the video but popsicle sticks are lazy, I actually made my boards and 2x4 runners from recycled pallets and I made knotches using a grinder to make the standard 48x40 GMA pallet.
I made these they really good...
When I saw these I died it was so adorable
now I have something to do after school tomorrow instead of sleeping
perfect! although I do love my sleep - K
So true :/ aha, except it's work for me! :(
super
I cant find that song on youtube :(
Sound Cloud! Just added the link in the description :)
Thanks so much! Love the video too btw!
wow
You could also just rub a tea bag on the sticks instead of completely submerging them
You don't need to do the coffee method and plus it'll stink of coffee. Some people might find it calming but people like me who like tea probably won't appreciate it. If u want a stained look, just brush some brown paint lightly into the Popsicle sticks and rub some of it off.
you can also stain with tea. and the smell goes away after like 20 mins. ive done it many times. a tea and vinegar and coffee and vinegar mix is much more efficient
👍👍👍👍👍✌✌✌
no love for Steve Ramsey???
Cute
fingerboard pallet
I think the coffee part is useless... well I just did it and it take a long time to dry and the final product is almost the same as the unstained popsicle sticks. Everything else is perfect :)
Cute
Coaster*
don't they fall apart when you put a hot drink on it since hot glue melts when it's hot..
Just use some strong glue instead :)
no drink could possibly be hot enough for it to melt
no drink could possibly be hot enough for it to melt
I was a little disappointed. No dangerous tools.
Not glue can be dangerous tho.
The song 😫🔫
good im not the only one
I like this song
😂
okay weird, i was just listening to riot van on itunes and opened this video.. then i was like wtf i turned this song off... that was really weird.
nope

The video instruction is great but the background music was distractingly horrible. Next time, if you must use background music, choose a mild instrumental. That being said, the project is brilliant. Thank you for sharing it.
I love the aesthetics but I feel like my popsicle coasters are much easier.
you should try this really awesome thing called time lapse. also, your title screens don't need to be 11 goddamn seconds long ffs
then don't fucking watch it bitch keep your hate out
