Celebrating one year at the cottage! I just wanted to make a video simply about spring and the rhythm of mindfulness that I have been adopting. I also want to mention the key to enjoying mindful and slow living (in my personal experience, it is different for everyone) is to completely let go of what you cannot control (while, of course, recognizing what you can), and embrace that life needs to be enjoyed today, as well as for tomorrow.

I'm 25 and I still get scrapes and bruises from climbing, walking on little walls, skipping around and all those, generally considered childish, things. But I'd rather live with the scrapes and bruises than without the happiness all those things give me! Always find some time for your inner child!

What a serene video. Loved seeing the spring flowers & your fur babies 🩷 It is so easy to obsess over matters which we have no control. Getting out of your own head is the best thing you can do. Nature & my kitties help me with that. Who can think of anything bad when you have 5 one month old kittens tripping over each other, playing, sleeping? So adorable & sweet & good for distraction. I’m always in awe of the plants you have available to see, take snippets from and enjoy and paint. That is great that you can harvest the cottonwood and make some oils. As a Christian I am thankful that God gave us so much in nature to heal us and enjoy. It is a gift for sure and when we can make something for ourselves that is even better. I understand about worries and fears and I’ve been working through a book by Dr Jim Berg called Quieting your Noisy Soul. Again it is focused on The Bible so I know not everyone here would find interest but I share it here in case someone might as I have found it very helpful to pinpoint my anxieties that I might not have recognized were causing stress. Enjoy your spring. I love watching your fur babies and your creations. Thank you for sharing a piece of your world with us. Oh I’m always amazed at your wonderful leather boots that hold up in all kinds of weather. 😊🌸

Hello Paola🤗ah this video came at a perfect time. I’ve been quite restless lately and my mind has been lingering on past experiences of when people where quite unkind to me. I’ve also been remembering all the times in which I just witnessed people being very unkind to other people or just people saying very disgusting things. When you stop and actually listen to what some people are talking about you realize just how much filthy garbage is in some people’s minds and spirits. For some reason I grew increasingly disturbed by these memories all day and then…….. you uploaded this lovely video. It gave me so much calm! I cannot control what other people do and I cannot change my past experiences but I can choose to be in the present, focus on all the Good, and do everything in my power to be light in this world. Thank you so much Paola for being you and being a light in this world.❤️

I've never seen the yellow bells! Very sweet. We have "Yellow rockets" here and they are the earliest blooming wildflower in our forest. They are also entirely edible so I always nibble on a few. I was afraid your bunny was going to nip your little plants! Now, still in April, I could never lay on the forest floor. The poison ivy is sprouting and ticks are abundant. What a lovely video. yeah! Watch out for the pixies! Hooray for hanging out in the meadow and dancing and sitting on logs. It is so nice. Congratulations on your year at your cottage. Love your water coloring! Very beautiful. Your cup is adorable that you are drinking your tea with. I used to tell my husband how If I had a collection of things, I would want them to be cute teacups, but I am a cocoa drinker and a minimalist who has little room for storing or displaying them anyway. I'll just enjoy seeing yours.
The thing you mentioned at the end of your video about getting your dress caught. . .this is why my husband has stopped letting me get white dresses and skirts. I get too muddy and dirty in the woods or climbing trees and such. I am not good at keeping light colors clean!
