I feel like people who are in dance and sports like fencing are always the clumsiest people in the real world. Mainly because a majority of the dancers I know are graceful af on stage but clumsy af in life, same as Jen, it seems.

I used to do european swordsmanship- like with a longsword. My friend told me "It's weird how you're kind of awkward but put a sword in your hand and you turn into this graceful warrior!" So yeah, confirmed, it's a thing- you do enough training and in very specialized areas you can become a bad-a.
I'm a ditzy, clumsy, verging on weird edgy kid i my school. But I'm also a fencer and when I had a sabre in my hand, I feel sort of compelled to poise steadily and gracefully. Otherwise, you can fall. One of my friends saw me fence once and she kept asking me how I held my balance. In truth, she was leaning too towards her front leg. OML why am I ranting about my friends lack of fencing skill

I'm a woman, and I really appreciate these explorations that aren't traditionally seen as Ladylike, mostly bc I don't usually do makeup and am not great with fashion. Looking forward to more vids from you guys!

Watching this video inspired me to start fencing. Being a woman in a sport such as this is incredibly empowering and i wish everyone had the opportunity. It has given me so much more confidence to stand up for myself.

I am a historical fencer with rapier and you guys should totally try out historical fencing with rapier especially the Italian style, it is my favorite and I recommend it to everyone! You should also research the SCA, Society for Creative Anachronism. A video on the entire society in the united states would be amazing!!

Please have the ladies try horse riding next time! It´s one of the biggest female sports, one of the few sports where men and women compete equally and one of the biggest handicap sports. Horses are amazing and I would love to see the ladies try it out!

omg i was really excited when i saw this !!!! i remember when i first joined fencing at school bc i was super awed when they brought in the national team to talk to us during club night !!!!! i hope this becomes a squad activity or something bc it's honestly super fun. i found out a lot of kids who boarded at the same ranch also joined fencing so it was cool to have those in common and i was able to get closer to the lower school students (my campus is divided into two schools so upper school students hang out w each other so we don't get to talk to the lower school students too much except for 8th graders bc they're the weird middle ground). a long rant but idk this video just brings back very fond memories for me
