    I bought an 8 quart instapot and was so intimidated by it after I unboxed it that I put it back in box, put it in cupboard and finally gave it away to sister in law! Just ordered this today and based on your video and that of other people, I think I will actually use it! Thank you for your video!

      Hi, What I tell people look at what you cook on a regular basis and decide which appliance you will use the most. Or if you want variety to cook other items.

  • @johndavis7944
    @johndavis7944 Рік тому +2

    Hi Lisa. The chook looks cooked. The Speedi isn't available here in Australia, unfortunately. Only the regular, steam & crisp and the grill. I've just purchased a new 25 litre capacity Airfryer. My ninja foodi has issues. The pot censor is playing up and causes the operation to cease. Trying to stir fry or saute anything it keeps flicking on and off. Apparently it's a common fault. If it dies, I won't have it repaired. I'll write it off and buy a smart lid.
    Cheers Lisa and have a Merry Christmas if I don't see the chicken soup video before hand 🤤👍😀

      @karlos543 Рік тому +1

      Hi. Mine is doing the same thing. It's still under warranty so have just bought a Speedi so I have something to use whilst it's away.
      Any idea if Ninja fixes it or gives you another one? Bit disappointed it has this fault on something so new.

    • @johndavis7944
      @johndavis7944 Рік тому

      @@karlos543 Hi again.
      Well the inevitable happened and the ninja gave up the ghost. Total pot sensor failure. Fortunately I was still under the extended 2 year warranty I'd purchased with it. Only by 4 weeks and 2 days mind you.
      I rang the ninja company here in Australia and they said to make a claim through the retailer I'd bought it from. Did that and was credited the full amount less extended warranty costs. So I put the credit amount towards the SmartLid and paid the balance due.
      But the 'Piss Off' is the stainless steel pot I'd bought for the ninja foodi is too small for the SmartLid.... Grrrr😡
      Not deep enough!
      SmartLid has pros and cons. One lid means the pressure cooking silicone rubber gasket is in the lid.
      When using any other functions other than Pressure, Steam Cook and general Steaming, the gasket fouls on the pot because of the heat expansion causing the lid to foul and Not close all the way down. So it's best to leave it out. But what a Bugger of a job getting it back in again! You really have to work at it to get it in place!
      And because it's a larger capacity pot, it takes longer to preheat and the grill / broil function isn't as effective as the shallower pot is. I use the basket stand upside down and place an aftermarket round wire grill that sits on top of the basket stand. Absolutely brilliant for grilling / broiling as you Americans'call it. Bought the round wire grill on eBay. It's the perfect fit and is slightly fisheyed in shape so juices can flow off it. But most stick and char anyway. Other option is the Sear and Sizzle available for the ninja pot series cookers. It's readily and locally available to you Americans at a fraction of the cost it is to us Aussies.
      I gather you'll most probably either get a refund or an exchange through the warranty claim process. It's up to the retailer and their policy. Good luck.
      I also bought a cheap 2 lid copy of the ninja. One might say it it's a Clone of the Instant Pot airfryer 🤔 but without all the instant pot functions. Haven't used it yet, it's an emergency backup if ever needed.
      So far, so good 👍🤔😀
      I hope you are well. Sorry but I haven't been on your channel for a while now, mainly because you are every now and then uploading and don't always reply. With the exception of today of course 😉
      I'll pop in and catch up.
      See ya and thanks for asking.

    Can I use the rack on the lowest setting then air fry the whole chicken or a big batch of fries? I need a bigger size air fryer for family of 5 but most drawer style air fryers are so small or it has 2 drawers which is inconvenient.thank you.❤

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes you can use rack and air fry chicken OR a big batch of fries but not sure enough for family of five for fries at same time.
      I think they make a regular air fryer- an XL but that's all it does-you wouldn't be able to make a complete meal like pasta or rice.
