Oooooh, Mark’s mother siding with Mina was a nice twist. He was a mama’s boy, but his mother didn’t want that for him. His mother is the good mother who won’t dote all over her kids. Now Mark has been shunned by everyone.

Yes. in these stories the MILs tend to fan the flames of their son's Oedipal complex. Funnily the mother in the actual myth had no idea her new husband was her son. The ones here frequently out and out tell their DIL that their son loves them best and try to convince the DIL that it is normal.
This MIL was a rational intelligent woman. It is a refreshing change.

I’d have stopped it in the VERY beginning! I said this to a neighbor once who demanded to know why my husband stopped going to work: “No, you don’t talk to me that way. If you’d like to ask me a question you may use a civilized voice and drop the attitude”. He caught himself, then I calmly replied that my husband is a teacher and school ended the week before. He’s much nicer to me now.

But an idiotic mama's boy is someone who shouldn't be trusted with making the right decisions.

This guy wanted to be the good husband but didn't want to do any actual work. So he lies about to everyone around him. This way he can seem like the poor sympathetic husband doing his best to an ungrateful wive. He gets praise and sympathy. He has an important life discian to make? Just make it on his own and lies about telling you about. That way he doesn't have to deal with anything and he can gaslight you into thinking your wrong. Then he is justified in demeaning you cause you forget and cause him problems.

Not even a minute in and Mark has already gotten on my last nerves. This gaslighting, verbally abusive jerk. So, he admitted that he didn't tell her and just decided this on his own. Why is she still married to Mark? Should we even be surprised that Mark lied to his mom? His mom knows the type of person he is and he still lies. This is why parents should warn potential in-laws NOT to marry their kids. His mom shouldn't be trying to get Mina to come back to that abusive jerk of a son. Who is Paul? So, Paul is the stepdad/dad? Mark just wants a woman to live with him so he can treat them like a slave/caregiver. It's safe to say Mark's lies caught up with him. Not even Mark's own mom wants to live with him. Why does Mark want to live with his parents? I figured he was going to have his mom do the housework. This is why I like being single. I don't have deal with parents forcing their immature adult kids on me. I don't see why she apologized to him at all. Imagin being married to a manchild for a year. Your mom apologized for not telling her that you are a manchild, Mark. Why is Mark so obsessed with his mom? It's his father's job to care for his wife. I almost spit out my food when Mina reminded Mark that his mom was sitting beside her reading his messages. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣His mom should have been creeped out not sighing. NO! Why would Mina want to stay friends with someone who was abusive to her the entire marriage. Why would Mark think anyone would sympathize with him?
