8:49 Obviously "mom" has no clue about "cost of living" realities. Hiring a little full time housekeeper/maid would cost at least $20,000 per year. With a $250K gross income and assuming a nominal tax rate of 15% that's a net of around $212.5K and then state taxes, of any on top of that. Then another $20K for the maid and their net income is well under $200,000. Figure mortgage payments, insurance and taxes are at least $75k a year and that whole "hire a maid" thing looks less doable for them.

Yes. They’re expensive. Far more than Jeeps, which are not considered luxury vehicles at all. More like for off-reading and camping.

@@sophierobinson2738 in Australia the Jeep is roughly the price of an entry level.Benz. My uncle was a factory worker and drove a entry level Benz. Only worth about $50K out here. So not that pricey.

I was expecting Matt to turn out to be doing something illegal for his job since the mom kept talking about not caring what his job is so plot twist but I didn't expect him to be a lawyer or something that was gambling & seeing strippers. I hope he suffers as much as OP's ex family is.
I wonder how the sister is dealing with everything? Found out her husband is cheating & he learned she is cheating, both got STDs from their affairs, she has to leave her husband along her affair partner & all the money the husband makes, she & her parents have to get use to their old life again while struggling to find work along with recovering from the clap. To make it all worse it turns out the not favorite child is doing better than her now ex-husband but still hates the family so they'll never get help from her.
