I'll never get over what a genius composer this guy is. The range, the complexity, the techniques, the imagination within him... just incredible. What a gift it is to experience this music.
This album has confounded me, confused me, thrilled me, inspired me and moved me to tears for twenty years and I still haven't begun to wrap my head around it.
Good on you Mr. Jenkinson for leaving the comments on. I love this album, I used it as a standard to test headphones and tune my PA rig for years. Cheers!✌️🤟🖖
Just want to say thank you to Squarepusher!! That song Port Rhombus is the reason I started making electronic music. When I first heard it so many years ago it hit me hard…what a beautiful track!!! Love your music and style!! Forever a fan of the auditory brilliance that graces my ears….💪🏼
Got the vinyl in the other day, put two tabs in the brain and gave it a full sit-down session again. Absolutely astonishing music. Staggering genius. Every time I listen in full it's a like UFO landed in my room. By the time Steinbolt comes on I am cackling like a madman. So good it's almost threatening. "Will the world ever be the same?" type shit.
i respectfully disagree don't get me wrong, go plastic was an AMAZING album (i mean, squarepusher made it, how could it not be) but i don't think it fully respects the jazztronica and other genre's roots that his style had and what made him special in the first place. while 'go plastic' is a love letter to breakcore and jungle, 'ultravisitor' is a love letter to all music.
Squarepusher - A Journey to Reedham (7AM Mix) Squarepusher-Massif (Stay Strong) back in 1997, I was greatly impressed by these compositions and I always expected Squarepusher to continue in this style
I am of the same opinion, it's the album I've returned to the most over the years. Listen to "The Exploding Psychology" very loud on a good system. That's a journey!
the recording, the mixing, the mastering, the compositions, the arrangements, the imagination, the musicianship - plainly and simply elite, thru and thru 👏
These compositions linger in sometimes very uncomfortable territories. Its a long deep listen. It had a profound effect on me when I first heard it. Almost like a symphony. Extraordinary. Still just as effective.
This was and is a crackingly good album. Not sure what the remastering has done because I’m yet to listen but the mastering was absolutely brilliant when it was released, turned up loud on a hi end system this album absolutely rocked. My car used to shake.
They made the drums sound way crisper, and there's a lot more of stereo separation on this one. It's a great remaster that elevates the sound of the original.
I got this album when it was first released and it had a great bonus 3”cd with it and the tracks on the cd are just as good as the album cuts !!!! And i saw him live in Newcastle when he toured around the time of this lp !!!! Squarepusher is daddy he makes all the different styles of drum n bass !!!!! Please reissue hard normal daddy on vinyl 🤞it’s the only lp i need to complete my collection of your albums 🌞
the title track was the first thing i played when i got my new subwoofer for christmas back in like 2008. this is still such a deeply moving album, can't wait for the LP to arrive :)
Thank you for being the positively motivated soundtrack to most of my adult life. I'm 46 now and I just listened to Come on my Selector start to finish to motivate myself yesterday morning. Double thanks. When I'm rich, I'll send you 100K. Promise. *edit: I meant Hard Normal Daddy
That's easy, but lets not compare this to anything else. This is a unique piece of music, and trying to find a comparison takes away from the enjoyment.
It's incorrect to say that this album is 1 hour and 19 minutes long, because it is in fact timeless.
Radio Fab
Unlike Goldie's Timeless, which is a great album, but is 1 hour and 45 minutes long.
I'll never get over what a genius composer this guy is. The range, the complexity, the techniques, the imagination within him... just incredible. What a gift it is to experience this music.
Free range
Blasting this at full volume at my cousin’s 4th birthday party
Hell yeah
lil kids going to have a hell of an awakening that day
世界がまだこの人にほとんど追いついてないですね。
After 20 years, it's amazing that it still feels like music from 500 years later. How can it be so fresh?
This album has confounded me, confused me, thrilled me, inspired me and moved me to tears for twenty years and I still haven't begun to wrap my head around it.
This masterpiece of album... so unforgiving for casual listen.
... unforgiving ; )

20 years later and countless hours spent listening to records and this remains one of the most astonishing I've ever encountered, a true masterpiece.
20 years since this wonderful album ✨
Mine came in the mail today! Can't wait to listen to it tonight...
For me, the best album "Go plastic" is the best creation in my opinion. Other works are also good, but "Go plastic" is his pinnacle of creativity
Thé pinnacle !
i respectfully disagree

Go Plastic is a good album, kind of futuristic classic but everyone got on it. i prefer Hard Normal Daddy or Just A Souvenir
Squarepusher - A Journey to Reedham (7AM Mix)
Squarepusher-Massif (Stay Strong)

i challenge you to find something remotely comparable produced in the last century.
That's easy, but lets not compare this to anything else. This is a unique piece of music, and trying to find a comparison takes away from the enjoyment.

Hello Daddy!
Highs are harsh. Did you master it for cellphone earbud kids?
it was like that originally, don't think they did any eq work for the remaster it's just ripped from the tapes cleaner
