@@zaidkhan6296 yeah I personally think people are looking for a more secure and safe way of life..and now that most of us work from home...well we can live just about anywhere.
Really helpful thanks! Can you suggest a good and nice place yet not expensive around Windsor CT? Planning to move to CT from NY may be after a few months as part of job change.
@@marisolsullivan5224 Normally I would agree with you-but there is a great grassroots movement opposing any homeschool encroachment. Last year there was a bill proposed to add some regulation to homeschoolers-the homeschoolers flooded the politicians with letters and lobbying and the bill was defeated. The politicians sincerely asked that homeschoolers stop calling them, lol. Thankfully as a small state I think we’re able to better win these battles. So because of this I have hope that this freedom is here to stay though we must always remain vigilant.
CT is a HORRIBLE place to move to, I have lived here for 53 yrs and I'm currently trying to leave. The taxes are insane, get ready to pay a property tax on your car every year in this state and if it's a new car your looking at up to 1k just in tax on it for your local town or city year after year until you sell it. The state is run by dumb liberals who have continuously been giving taxpayer dollars to any all all who want welfare. New Haven is a "Sanctuary City" with some of the worst crime in the country, Hartford is not far behind them as well. There is literally nothing to do here for the younger generation, yes we have some beaches and some decent food but it all comes with high cost, parking fees and high cost to eat out is just crazy. The weather is not the best either, it gets hot and humid in the summer and cold as hell in the winter, the cost to heat and cool your home will run into the thousands....think i'm kidding? google it for yourself....I highly recommend finding another state in my personal opinion.
I agree 100%. 52 years old and I am ready to start planning my escape. It is ridiculous how expensive it is here and nothing shows for it plus this blue state loves to tax the working man to fund the less motivated.
I’m looking for a house with access to fishing and near the mountains in Litchfield with a couple of acres and no neighbors or probably far from the house. Must have attic and basement, This will be a vacation home/bug out home as I’m a prepper and live in NYC. Less than 200,000
Hey, thanks for watching!! That is something we can defiantly help you find. shoot me an email at aaron.bowman@exprealty.com with your contact info and will get this started. I might pick your brain about some prepper stuff also 😀
A family of 4 making 118k will put you in affordable housing in Fairfield County. You might even qualify for financial assistance. You aren't living comfortably or anywhere near comfortably as a family of 4 unless you are clearing at least 150-175
True CT can be expensive but there are still some areas with lower taxes..however if you are a home owner you will get more for your home now then you would have in the last few years ..especially with this record low inventory
If you are thinking of moving to Connecticut what town/city are you thinking of moving to?
Ridgefield, Wilton, Westport or Fairfield. I currently reside in NYC.
@@belitorr Westport and Fairfield are very nice...helping some clients now move from NYC to Ct are you considering moving to CT?

East Windsor and Windsor locks. I live in Windsor locks. Grew up here. Taxes are cheaper in WL. East Windsor is more countryish.
This is a great state to homeschool too. There is no state oversight or regulations which us homeschoolers love.
Thats a good point more are home schooling these days.
This is true for now but Connecticut is so liberal I can't see that lasting.

You have virtually no chance at purchasing a home in Litchfield county if have less than 200k, and if you did the taxes would be crazy high.
@JesusElMesias777. Good luck, I have a tent for sale for under 200 k you can buy in Litchfield area, you can prep all you want in it🤣🤣🤣
Greater Hartford area is a completely different world from shorline
