I got one for my birthday, and it works wonders. It doesn't last long, but it's easy to refill (I use a small Coke bottle as it doesn't make a mess and is close to the proper tank quantity) and it mists up my desk area nicely. Thankfully I'm right next to my sink and freezer so replacing what's run out is very easy for me. My only complain is that there's no way to turn off the light once it's gone dry, unless I unplug it, and my mother's got a unit that under the minimalistic amount of pressure, the power outlet for it snapped from the inside and it never worked for her again. Another issue is, prolonged usage has gathered a lot of water in the ice pack reservoir, I have yet to find a way to empty that without unplugging the whole thing. I can't wait to electrocute myself pleasantly...
Edit: So easy, there's a cork at the base as well, just pop that baby open and it drains away. Whew. the issue I have, though, is that it seems to be inconsistent in when it wants to stop. Because I've filled that basin with the same amount of water many times and it still sometimes overflow, sometimes it looks like it's still got room for more. ALSO DON'T OVERFILL THE ICE PACKS OR THEY'LL BLOAT UP WHEN THEY FREEZE AND THEY WON'T FIT IN THE UNIT UNLESS YOU THAW THE ICE.
You could probably get one of those condiment squeeze bottles you see in restaurants. Cut the tip so water flows easier, fill it with water and turn it upside down into the refill hole. The cone tip should seal and increase the resevoir to last at least 3 hours maybe more? I bought one at a thrift shop so I'll try that.
I just bought this today it defently keeps me cool but like you mine needs refilling often, but I am so much cooler sitting beside it today I can put up with filling it often, I have been running mine from a small power back all day and it is hardley using any electricity, my 7800mah power bank should power it for many hours of use.
I saw on the infomercial for the previous model "runs up to 10 hours" or something. Wasnt expecting anything to that extent but under an hour was a little underwhelming. Debating taking it back and getting a humidifier that can last thru the night.
@@ArcticAirUltraPro Yeah the previous model lasts 10 hours but it has a filter that needs replacing and hardly cools you more than a normal fan. I find this one to have much better cooling but a water tank that holds at least 8 hours of water would make it much more usable. I haven't tried the ultra with the blue filter but I had the original one it worked good for a summer but got really moldy inside with the paper filter in storage for the winter. I saw this one at the store today and picked it up
@@michaeldhondt368 yes I noticed the capacity for this one to get moldy too, as the water reservoir is not accessible and always holds small amounts of water even when emptied. It does cool me down while I use it though ^_^
@@janicemolson4929 Depends, I normally use it on medium with ice water. I primarily use it inside with air on, instead of turning the air down I'll just use this. I can get several hours on medium with ice, easy.
Ilike your cat, ijust bought one today it still in a box ,but when i watch now a lot of videos about this iget dispointed i will return it tomorrow coz my room so hot
So mine only turns off if I unplug it, the "off" setting seems defective. The only thing that seems to work on mine is the 2 lines setting for the mist. The mist lasts about 4 hours for me.
Yes it seems this product has varied flaws or defects for many who try it. Glad yours lasts for a while though at least?... do u think u will keep it or take it back?
What’s that thing called where you put the water in and freeze it? That white container thing? Anyways, I lost mine and is there something else I can use instead of that white frozen container thing?
so i just bought one and at first it wasnt misting all the time, i had to smack it and stuff then eventually it started working properly. yours might be defective or something because mine has been misting for like 2 hours now and theres still plenty water in the tank. the product is decent at keeping me cool but its pretty hot in my room so the ice pack melts in like 30 min :(
Just bought this yesterday! Mine lasted less than an hour too! Very disappointed :( I tried many times to contact Customer Service and was auto-disconnected after being redirected to a second and similar (higher than normal call volumes) message as the first. Don't buy from a company that is not available to discuss challenges with their product!! Challenging times or not....telephone customer service should always be available for a company that is producing large volumes of product!!
Have you tried using it without filling it up with water?will it still function?or will the red light come on?by the way i placed an order on the official website for 2 arctic air ultra pro for $59 usd, received confirmation that my order was placed but have been waiting since may 28th, this company is not good, i read that shipping takes 3 to 8 weeks??!summer will be almost over by then
This model only functions while filled with water, when it senses no water it automatically shows the red light and turns off. I purchased this (and returned) at Canadian Tire so I am not sure about the shipping.
@Mister Happy i received mine one day earlier than you, two exact months, it came express from toronto, i did email them back 4 days ago but they have not replied,i will contact my bank
Sadly, no. The only options for the Ultra-Pro are "mist with no fan" or "mist with fan". I think the Ultra doesnt have the mist feature, but still would add humidity to the air. Honestly I was thinking of buying a little digital humidity reader to keep an accurate eye on moisture levels. Take care!
For me, to top part of the switch doesn't work, and the center is supposed to be "off" but it just keeps going. So I'm able to use mine without mist, but mines probably defective cuz the only way mine will turn off is if its unplugged.
@@ArcticAirUltraPro mist with no fan??? What are you talking about it has to have fan in order to mist. That's how it mists. Your explaining it all wrong . Line one is only fan, line two is mist with fan obviously
No, I had no way to measure the temp. It felt nice and cold blowing the air and mist on me compared to the temp of the room/ without it, though dont expect the room temp to change at all, from my experience. There are many better reviews out there for the previous models, I just wanted to make one quickly to give my impressions of this one for others thinking of buying it, and the comments on this video add to the conversation Thank you and good luxk

@@ArcticAirUltraPro that new mist sprayer looks very intense on the pro version lol! the ultra is must better. I use it while gaming and it keeps me nice and cool. the water lasts me 2 days. it's a cool little fan. remember it doesn't cool the whole room. just yourself... it's a personal fan.
Yes sadly it would not last over an hour. I had it beside my bed, aimed at my face basically. While it was working, it provided a great cool feeling and moisture into the air. Sadly it was such short term, and I was looking for all night moisture as my main focus, that I returned it and bought a humidifier that lasts 24 hours. Although the humidifier does not provide direct cooling, it has greatly diminished the negative symptoms I get from dry air, which was my primary goal. Secondary reasons I decided to return this model were that it is not possible to clean inside, not possible to fully drain (I stuck a paper towel in there to soak up as much as I could prior to returning) and filling it through the tiny hole was not the easiest. Though for what it is, if it didn't bother you that you cant clean it, and you have to refill the water reservoir often for it to function, it does offer nice personal cooling while aimed at you with the fan on.
And my unit no longer works. The light blinks, it won't turn on, I tried draining the water, wiping it out, light blinks, mist won't come out when I turn it on, fan won't work, I have a new night light now.
Just bought 2 of them. as this girl said, there is no 1 review about them and she is the first one hah. same story, I went for the ultra, but only found the ultra pro, so I about them ($45 Canadian ). my expectations were low too. I live in Manitoba where it is REAL hot in the summer and REAL cold in winter. in short, if your expectation to direct it to your face and refill it every hour ( and maybe replace the Ice pack every 4 hours or so) , yeah it can cool your face off ( not the entire room). I combine this with a regular fan too but if you are looking for something to cool off your entire room, then naaah do not buy this. Peace.... btw, this lady look cute and * SEEMS* like a good person, but who knows. .... just saying.
