3:10 The highest setting is just barely blowing any air at all. Maybe I got a dud. Holding the thing right in front of my face is the only way to know it's on other than the sound and the light.
I love the design of this unit! I have a bunch of the older Arctic Air units and I’ve loved them. I’m an aviation enthusiast so I loved the Jet design.
I think this might be good enough to use in my car. My compressor needs to be fixed and it takes probably 5-10 minutes to start cooling and this could be useful for short trips in town.
@@bignamek it's ok. If it's really hot, try turning it down and moving it closer to you. If it pulls the air too fast it doesn't cool it down as much. In very hot environments, you're looking at something like 15 minutes of relief.
Also, dont try to roll your windows up. It cant fight that much heat at all. However, if you're in an insulated trailer/indoors, it might be a little different
I just bought 2 of them last night.. I followed the directions with the ice packs.. it does not shoot out cold air at all even with all 3 ice packs... I'm pissed
I've got a Vornado floor model that I'll be using in my new home. Also the house as ceiling fans in all the rooms, but no a/c, so I will be looking to see how hot it gets here in upstate NY this summer. I'm hoping I can get by with the fans and opening the windows. Fingers crossed. BTW, I saw in the background your Crunch Labs kit. What are you (or I should say, kids) making? One last thing: I did buy those gripstics and I use them to seal the obvious chip bags, but also, as extra protection on some Ziploc bags. Specifically the one I keep my confectioners sugar in since the ZL isn't totally sealed. You do have to be careful in getting the fold done correctly so you don't rip the plastic, but so far, so good.
I've had Vornado air circulators for 20 years. Key is getting the right size(s) for your space. There is one running behind me as I write this😊 Keep them in good condition and they'll last a very long time. I take them outside and use a can of compressed air to blow the dust and gunk out of them before putting them away for the season.
I think this is the one to use in my car for Summer? The heat here in Las Vegas is no joke? (I don't want to spend the $325.00 to fix my a/c right now?) Will put it in place with a sticky Velcro on the top of the dash!
@marcusgrant3133 No, the Boost packets are used to make ice packs. You do not actually dump out the contents afterwards. You just refreeze again and again. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 😀 👍
I've used it 3 nights already and it definitely gets cold cuz I have it directly in front of me at 🌃 night 😊👍I love it. I wanted the different colors settings & I didn't know there was a multicolor settings so thanks for your video cuz I didnt want it to stay on 1 solid color. I needed this when my AC went out at my old apartment ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍 it's so pretty. Not a fan of the price either but i don't plan to return it. 😅
Update: the multicolor settings does not allow the air to get cold at all. The 1st 3 nights It got extremely cold & I had it on 1 solid color. The 4th night I chose the multicolor settings and it never got cold. I guess all the energy being used went to the colors switching instead of the fan. Idk 😐. I won't worry about the different colors anymore, I just need it to get cold 🥶❄️
I just got one and my one question would be if the ice packs after using them if they need to be refilled with water or not because of the ice pack boost the green light is my fav I like that it will keep the color when u turn it back on
Feels like this failed, unless you put the thermometer on the other side of the room. Is there anyway of putting it in a room and have the thermometer about 10ft away? sorry for asking this question
I was going to ask what happens to the ice boosters after you drain the water, but I'm assuming you just keep refreezing it? Question though. I'm currently sleeping in my car at the moment. Can i use my ice chest to get it cold enough where it's effective, or it's not worth it? And if it is freezer, will it last throughout the night when I'm sleep?
I think mine must have been a return. No directions, or do not return to the store note. No boost packs. I like using the dark blue light in my dark room. It just gives the illusion of cold. Red reminds me of heat. It’s working ok along with my ceiling fan. I can feel the small area around me cooling down (I’m paying on my bed). I think I’m going to add vinegar to my ice packs. It will keep frozen longer I believe, just like homemade boo boo ice packs. It gets colder with vinegar. I’m Going to try it.
So which one of the artic air products do you recommend for me? I work from home and don't have the budget for an actual Ac and my room is pretty hot during summer, with middle east heat! please tell me if any of these would help or should I stick to my normal fan?
its usb-c powerd so one of those big old cell phone power banks would run this thing for days. hell any usb fan. in fact i n july i take a usb fan and a power bank and dont swet my ass off watching the fireworks.
I have several of artic air units and im a bit disappointed with the wind speed on my ice jet...might go exchange it for a new one and see if mines just defective. Love your reviews keep it up!
mines work fine without the cooler ice things but it doesn't give enough air i just got it so i have to wait an hour to take them out freezer.(good video by the way)
That's kinda cool because it's like a fan and a lamp at the same time. Perfect your reading desk. But 5 watts is insane. A regular fan uses 50 watts an hour. Let's be real it's not an air conditioner it's a swamp cooler.
Should i buy one? My bedroom reached 86 f and humidity of 45 to 50 during the summer. My entire house outside of my tiny bedroom is 77 degrees. Would it help me cool down my room?
use a dehumidifier. get the humidity down. using something like this will increase the humidity inside the room. anything that releases water into the air(boiling/evaporating, like melting ice) will increase the humidity, like using this fan. humidity will increase the temperature to some degree depending the environment, and will increase the feeling of the temperature(hot feels hotter, cold feels colder). and fun fact, in cold environments, humidity contributes more to things icing over. hope this helps
I feel like this is a novelty. Im not impressed with the fan. I have it in my car right now on my dash. I barely feel it. I assumed it had a battery. I wanted something tha5 held a charge. Its going back.
A couple of days ago I bought the Arctic air. Today is 11th of July 2024 12;07 am I just want to ice packs can a bottle of Frozen ice water, the ice water I placed in the back of the machine and the two ice packs I placed in the machine I do not expect it to last 10 minutes ice turns to water 83 ° in my room with a 57% humidity. I praise I praise the the guy who invented it because he was the only one to make money from he convinced a bunch of fools to go out and buy this and if I wasn't desperate to keep my room cold as I has COPD and asthma I'm diagnosed with long covid.
