The island got replaced with an ice spiked glacial area. A new enemy "ice elemental" and a few other enemies can spawn at the location.

The circle zone is from a rune called "Snowfall Rune". The blaster is a new weapon, "Chiller Blaster".

Yes, it is actually pretty good. Slow on the charge up, but it causes an explosion blast of an effect. Similar to the pistol rune explosion.
