Sadly I have to report that I was not successful 😕! It’s not because of the app but because of my stupid treadmill!! Nordictrack C1750 only transmit audio via Bluetooth. This is bulljive especially at that price tag! I think it’s on purpose to force us to use their app (iFit) which is not much use for me and doesn’t communicate with any other platform. There is also no option to export the run from iFit. Also my Garmin HRM is only ant+ so my phone didn’t pick it up. Bummer!! Looks like my only option here is to get a styd pod or runn that mounts on the treadmill itself. Unfortunately no money right now for this.
Thanks. Thanks to this i can run outdoors while being in zwift... I have polar bluetooth smart sensor, and it foken only connects to i devices, so i bought used iphone se... But battery drains in like 10mins. Thanks to this app i can run zwift on my android phone that has way bigger screen and longer battery life+ changeable batteries, so now i can use iphone only as a mediator between 2 devices and am hopeful that batteries wont die on me as fast as it did till now.
FYI, strava only overrides elevation data from a gps file if the watch recording the data does not have a barametric altimeter and/or its not on their list of devices producing decent elevation data. for example, the elevation data straight out of a garmin 945 will not be overridden by strava. Another complication is you run with Stryd app on the apple watch, and it complicates it even further.
+1 for Rungap. Sync from my Garmin watch & Rungap exports to my Strava, Smashrun, Final Surge & Training Peaks automatically. If I'm using my Coros watch it'll export to my Garmin connect account also
I had to go find an iPhone to use this app because the Android version is very minimal compared to the Apple version and doesn’t have the ability to email the fit file when the workout is completed. I hope they can find the resources to upgrade the Android version.
I know it is an old spot but it is still useful. Thank you. The only issue I when I upload the FIT file to Strava, it show, in my case, tomorrows date and time of todays workout. Must be the time zone. Not sure how to fix it.
So your treadmill, Sole F63, sent the incline data to Runcline and since it is a fake outdoor run Strava then automatically calculates the elevation gain?
Ah, perfect. So then I record with Runcline for Strava and my Garmin watch for Garmin Connect (to get Training Status). As a bonus I then have a backup if Runcline stops working mid-run. Thanks for the quick reply 👌🏻
Hi Ryan, this is a great video - ive had the exact same problem. However, I don’t have a foot pod and my treadmill isn’t a smart treadmill (it’s about 7 years old). Will RunCline still work if I only connect my polar HR monitor but manually enter my incline/speed (e.g., no foot pod, smart treadmill, Zwift, etc.)?
At my local gym I got #AssaultRunner treadmill, how do I connect or sync up my indoor running data into #Strava ? I don’t own a smartwatch or sportswatch to track, I use mobile #ios .
This is super useful Ryan. I've got exactly the same problem. Running with stryd on Sole F80, want to do hill reps and hill+flat intervals where I just want one app to connect to my stryd pod, get the power and get the elevation/incline data from treadmill. On that note, did you notice any discrepancy between what stryd app (with manual incline input) would shouw you when on incline vs what runcline records? I know that my garmin stryd power data field is waaaay off what the actuall power is (if I type the correct incline in the stryd app)?
Yeah this app helped check a lot of the boxes! The power was the same for me in this app and the Stryd app. The only thing that has a variation is the vertical gain from the treadmill vs the app, but it's less than 1 percent so I think that's acceptable. The only thing is that is has crashed on me a couple times, so for long or really important runs, try to also record a backup!!
I don’t think the app is working on iOS 17 ( iPhone 15 pro max ), the app detects my treadmill but it fails to detect any of my stryd pods ( I have two and both of them are detected by my other devices)😢
My set up: xterra 4500 treadmill, garmin 55 for heart rate, and the Runcline app, and run gap to export to Strava and garmin connect. Problem: Runcline records about half the distance as what my treadmill shows. Even though my treadmill is connected by Bluetooth to the Runcline app. Even if I manually edit the distance in RunGap, after I export it, Strava still shows the original and inaccurate distance from Runcline app. Solutions??
@@RyanClaytonFilms it reads the distance from the treadmill? This means you need to connect your treadmill to some device and it needs to be a treadmill which supports this app? I’ll have to to return my Apple Watch if this cannot be solved, the main purpose of it is to track my running and I only run indoor. Thank you very much!
Yes very frustrating strava - what the heck is taking so long to get this feature fixed?!?!!!!!! It took strava forever to finally add heart rate data for swimming so I guess manual elevation input for virtual treadmill runs will also take a long time. If I wasn’t paying a membership fee for strava I wouldn’t care as much about that limitation.
Where? Never have luck putting in the elevation afterwards...when I go in and do it on computer it doesn’t even record it after I put it in. Oh well I’ll just stick to recording my outdoor runs lol.
Did you realize, you are just beating around the bush with great irrelevant which we did not want. Get to your discovered app and explain how we can use it effectively. And stop holding that phone in your hand. Its distracting. For me, its unusually lengthy.
Thanks! I’ve been running a lot on treadmill lately. I’ll definitely give it a try! Keep up the good work!
Same here, lots of time on the treadmill. Hope it works for ya!!

Yeah RunGap is awesome, I use it everyday!!

Mine didn't even record, it crashed beforehand, unfortunately :-/ so i totally agree with you :)

Yeah mine does the same thing, i think it's because it's grabbing the time zone of the map that gets uploaded too. It's very weird haha!
It crashed once on me (it was a known bug) - I wrote the developer and the day after he came up with a recover routine and I was able to get my file!
That’s awesome!!
Best video ever
Thanks!

Pascal did an awesome job on this app. i run it on Android

I'm not actually sure if that will work, but since the app is free there's no risk to try it. Good luck!

I’m just looking for an app that uses a chest heart rate strap and a foot pod. Mainly just want heart rate, distance and calories. Treadmill

Huawei fitness app has a great feature for this as well

Run line is now available on Apple watch

recommend any running pod other than stryd footpod
I don’t, Stryd is head and shoulders above any other pod out there 👍
Apple Watch does not allow you to edit the distance, unlike Garmin. It always ends up 18+km, when I run only 10k. Does runcline solve that? Thanks.
Yeah because it’s reading the distance from either your treadmill or Stryd pod. Doesn’t let you edit it afterwards but I’ve never needed to.
@@RyanClaytonFilms it reads the distance from the treadmill? This means you need to connect your treadmill to some device and it needs to be a treadmill which supports this app? This is super helpful. Also, you can manually change elevation data in a .fit file. Surprise, it's actually just numbers in a document!

Yeah I agree, nothing to complain about if it’s free, but now that so many people are paying for it that changes things.
I've searched for the same! 90% of all the people on a treadmill have incline on.
Jealous... Still manually exporting TCX files from the x22i treadmill and the pace data is all over the place! Better than zero gain, though.
Sadly, the x22i is wifi and just supports Bluetooth for audio. RunCline supports only the NordicTrack with Bluetooth.
I don’t get the edit side. Makes no sense!
Not sure what you mean here, let me know and maybe I can help!
@@RyanClaytonFilms just empathizing with your strava relationship!
It’s 2021 Strava let us edit treadmill elevation gain and edit shoes in the app!

@@goodnewsrunning sorry I had a typo in that. I want them to add those features
Run Steep Get High has a video on how to do this.
For real Strava 🤪
App= runcline
