All three actresses look pretty much the same as in Saving Face, like it was filmed last year instead of fifteen years. Way to go, no reason a sequel or Netflix series couldn't pickup right where the movie ended!
I am so glad that SF came out when it did. It was one of the most important films of my young life when there was a gigantic lack of diverse filmmaking. There still is, but it’s true that the social/cultural landscape has shifted. I am grateful for that shift, too. Queerness is “safer” as a topic now. When I was a teenager, I looked for media that represented love the way I wanted to experience it; I will never forget the first time I saw SF! I still love this story as an adult, but it had a really special place in my life as a younger person searching for understanding. Thank you, Alice and actors. Saving Face forever ❤
I watched saving face four days ago and I ask myself why didn't i know that great movie existence in my past 25 years. Saving face is sooooo amazing. Saving face will be one of the most popular movies in new generation again.
omg why didn't i know about this reunioooon? i love the movie :) I'm sad that The Half of it was made so rushed.. it had potential, but it was pretty basic at the end, just a teen movie with a chinese as main role and a lesbian relationship and love story. But the story in itself is okay but it needs more development and a better script.. i hope alice wu does more movies and shows her full potential again.
