Saving Face is my favorite movie as it allows two women to have their relationship accepted in their community. In some ways to me alice wu is the golden age of the arc that started with radclyffe hall and the well of lonliness - we couldn't even have our lives let alne have our fulfillment celebrated inside of our community. Thank you alice for your courage and determination!
I hope that she does not take 15 years to make another movie, but I really think that the wait was worth it. "The Half of it" is a better movie than "Saving Face", much less formulaic and manages some features that are almost unheard of in modern Hollywood. Its characters are intelligently written, nuch more realistic than usual, and they are not "twisted" to make "romantic love" triumph against all logic. And I love Ellie's dad (Possibly because I have a degree in [IT] engineering and I, too, speak English quite horribly).
It's one of the best interviews I've watched of the movie. The questions makes Alice Wu express herself so well on the scenes, music, characters etc. Kudos the host and his questions.
