    I hope, for history's sake, that crumb (if he hasn't already done so) will digitize his entire collection so it can be preserved. He has one of the world's all-time greatest private archives of early recorded music.

      Absolutely. I think the whole room of his looks exhibition worthy- the items and wall art etc, I bet he has some amazing stuff

      I wouldn't be at all surprised if he doesn't digitize them because he's a purist and a Luddite.

    I just don't get what he's listening to. I love that he's surrounded himself by all the things he loves in a very organized way. I feel like I should understand why he likes these old songs.

    Funny how commerce changed music. Old timey blues and folk betrays an emotional connection that is all but gone now. Once people figured out how to make money on recordings the whole "value" changed. Most of what's presented now commercially is pretty appalling stuff.

      It is very interesting. A hundred years ago music like this was only rural. Now after recording its worldly. If that makes sense 🤔
