Also ofc RNG is a factor, but this guy showed a lot of skill - playing in and out of spotting range, shoooting range, knowing enemy limits.

But saying it's pure RNG is saying that this game is a dice roll, nothing more. And I think that's very far from the truth, there's many skill expression mechanics that you can see are utilised in this video. Weaving in and out of spotting range, anticipating enemy movements while torping, playing at the edge of your salvo range to prevent yourself from staying lit, angling, dodging shots, reading the map and many other small things that add up to create a game like this. Is RNG and luck involved? Sure, you can get a bullshit citadel, you can get brainlessly focused by a CV, you can just run into bad players. But it's not just RNG and saying it is is just ignoring facts. And I believe that this game can absolutely be enjoyed at high tier, because of that skill expression, although - again - I don't deny that some of the grinding and mechanics put forward by WG are predatory.

I wish people would stop posting arms race replays and calling it a "world record." Everyone's HP and damage is buffed, and usually slowly healing constantly which leads to higher damage numbers.
Dont know what he done! but vampire 2 is pure gun boat! only 4 torps instead of 8 (daring) and better base reload at main guns! daring is 2.5 sec with reoad at 5th place and this is 2.2 sec! i would built that only gun boat! maybe i would put fearless browler too! for something different!
1 pt skills - preventative maintenance, liquidator (just a left over skill point) 2 pt skills - Consumables enhancements, Extra heavy ammuntion (works great with the short fuse and improve pen angles), Last stand 3 pt skills - Survivability Expert, adrenaline rush, main battery and aa expert 4 pt skills - Concealment expert This build also uses the coal mods for smoke and hydro. Combined with the skill selection it gives you roughly 2 min 15 secs of both smoke and hydro, which lets you park close range and farm for extended periods. The duration combined with the long cooldowns means you very rarely need an extra charge from superintendent. An alternative way to build is with superintendent for the extra charge, not taking the consumables enhancements skill, and not using the coal mods to increase the duration of hydro and smoke. This lets you use your consumables more frequently (the cooldown begins sooner). A downside of having the crazy long smoke and hydro duration is that you can't use it again for an extended period, and sometimes you want to use it but only need it for say 1/4 of it's duration. The rest of the duration you trail a smoke behind you telling the enemy team your location. A CV hounding you when you need to save your smokes for an opportune time is particularly frustrating... Plenty of players much better than me prefer this type of build. Personally, the cooldown on smoke and hydro is so long either way that I feel like you should just lean into both the smoke and hydro as much as you can. It enables you to farm larger ships (be aware of radars and hydro ranges) for stupid amounts of time at relatively close ranges and put out a ton of damage. This vid is with the enhanced durations and fewer charges outlined above. More charges with shorter duration is also a great build, and I probably should have play tested it more while the free captain resets were active. The torps are very useful on vampire ii, but absolutely not worth building into over guns. It has good torps but a limited quantity (although the reload is pretty good). If you want to build into torps there are ships that make a much better platform that. The 5km hydro, exceptional guns (for closer ranges), and crawling smoke make it fantastic for cap contesting, bullying other DDs, and situationally farming BBs from close range. Be constantly aware of cruisers with radar, ragnar, black, pan asian dds, other hydro dds such as z52, z46, sherman, german cruisers and bbs with 6km hydros, etc. as they can mess with your gimmick and get you taken out very quickly. Vampire II has very useful torps and exceptional guns for shorter ranges, but what makes it strong and separates it from other DDs is it's ability to control concealment with it's great concealment range, 5km hydro, and a smoke it carries with it. Be aware of and respect anything that negates your ability to control concealment and it is exceptionally strong. I've gotten a decent handle on this but am still improving. Vampire II is a great ship. The best thing about it (IMO) is that if you are aware of what you are up against it can reward aggressive, close range play styles. Present day meta is super passive, long range, and yawn inducing, which is why I constantly find myself going back to the Vamp and it has become my most played ship. I want to play up close and seek engagements. You need to be intelligent about it, but the Vamp is one of the few ships that can frequently let you play close range and do the destroying instead of getting destroyed. There aren't many ships suited to do this in today's meta.

This game was ok except for the fact that ships catch on fire so easily. The small guns of destroyers would in fact do very little damage to the larger ships but in this game you just set them on fire and they burn like a candle.
at 14.57, a volley of 6 bow barrels flies out from the alabama, which would have hit iron and finished off the destroyer, but on 15.02 the shells simply disappear, 2 shells remain, which fall with a strong undershoot, the game is 100 percent cheated by the developers

I am not surprise, DD game is better without CV present. It the spotting by planes that DD always try to avoid when there is planes
