In November of 2021 myself and @philipconradmusic came to Hamburg Germany to start recording an album with our friends from The Netherlands. After 2 & a half weeks we left with "Still The Mess I Was" completed on tape, the debut album from Roofman. Now the album has been released and we've returned to the very studio we recorded the album to play a sold out show in studio B.

Hi Rhett…. early days subscriber here…. Watching you grow and develop as a really great musician over the years is truly an inspiration. Always loved your tone, but man…. You killed it in this show, professionally controlling each and every aspect of the songs, with all these amazing soundscapes. Wow, that was phenomenal !

I'm just starting the video, but I remember your video on making the album, with guitar samples from virtually every song. You did a Lot of great guitar work in a variety of tones and styles, and it really added to my respect for you as a guitarist.
A good tight band, and I wish the vocals were mixed louder so I could hear the singers voice better. He is a hell of a singer. But that might be the sound you were looking for.

I love how creative this was Rhett I gotta say this is definitely your best band you have so far way different than the others love the effects very inspiring. The singer literally sounds like Kevin Devine. Kinda looks like him too.
What a wonderful concert and band. Loved all the songs, but my favorite was Fly Away, Fall Down, Come Back. Thijs’s vocals were so good and Rhett’s guitar solos were nothing short of magnificent.

Caught the entire gig, after the first 4 minutes.....Those first three tracks really amazed me. Rhett.....There's some David Gilmore in your Sound, and I'm just WOW! Solid Ensemble, and everyone was in there place, and space. I like your channel for the guitar info, but this performance was a real treat.....I was rockin' in the Kitchen, Prepping Dinner, and loving something new for my ears.

What I like about this performance is that it contains a lot of emotions and energy but it's not over-the-top it's never out of control. Kind of like how you like your amps on the edge

I was really into what you're doing here with these guys. I have to agree with one of the other comments about watching you grow into a very seasoned and outstanding musician over the years. Your use of the delay pedal was very musical and creative. And I generally don't like delay pedal tricks. You made those gold foil pickups really work for the set. Amazing tones! Well done buddy!

I was staying in St.Pauli literally 10 minutes away from the studio for 4 days just before this gig.... I would stayed longer and attended if I'd known about it earlier :(

What a great performance all around. The band is tight and the guitar work and tones were great. I love that the tunes aren’t easily slotted into a category. You guys have your own direction and it’s great. Lots of comparisons to Pink Floyd and Tom Petty. Fair enough I hear that. I have to say the first couple of tunes made me think of Big Star just a bit. That’s a good thing in my books.

That was fun. The last song, Pour Me, I'm Drifting was the highlight for me... just a really well written rock song.... I'm not a fan of some of the let's play the effect on the floor thing going on a bit on a couple of songs, but that is ok. Thanks for posting.
