- This is an F1 onboard lap at the London ePrix circuit, more specifically the London ExCel from season 7 of Formula E. This layout is 2.252 km long and features a section of the track running indoors through the arena.
This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Nyck De Vries using the F1 2023 AlphaTauri AT04.

Unrealistic, De Vris didn’t bin the car once throughout the lap.
Of course not it's a Formula E track, where he excelled in.

0:26 one thing i love about this is that people on the DLR have the ability to see the entire track XD (the train model in the background)
You can even watch the race for free from one of the bridges that go across the track. We watched from there for Fp3 in 2022

The layout has changed since last year. There aren't anymore 2 hairpins, but a bust stop chicane

Formula E cars are the size of old F1 cars, which is basically go karts. Which is one of the reasons why they have better racing.
Formula E will literally accept any circuit as long as it's in a famous city. Doesn't matter how convoluted or terrible it is.
Perhaps, but I also think it's quite crazy and cool to see how they can transform a city into... a racetrack?
But it's fine seeing as formula e cars can actually race
This is a great track for Formula E, due to the turning circles of the cars, and the car actually able to race right next to eachother

I wondered how an F1 would do those corners 10 and 11. It was terrible, but it managed to do it. Only MITSOS talent to achieve this 😄. I imagine that in a hypothetical (and very unlikely) F1 race there, these corners would not exist and it would be a straight line connecting T10 and T12. As well as being the slowest race in history, slower than Monaco I imagine. There are rumors of a project to bring real F1 to London at this ExCel location. Not this layout but a more suitable, larger than 5km. Let's wait and hope. It will be another opportunity and a great video for MITSOS. Great lap 👏👏

We need the Rome track, maybe try Jakarta as well, or Sao Paulo. I think they're probably the most high-speed of the current FE cirucits bar Berlin, but that isn't actually streets...

I renember a video of a Spaniard youtuber (Heikki360) who did this circuit on a brazilian formula truck, also good onboard lap!
So basically it’s the old Hockenheim ring but instead of straightaways there are like 8x Fairmont Hairpin of Monaco

the fact that this circuit is fine for FE, and Monaco is quite wide for them, makes me think, how awesome is FE in its current form as street racing open-wheel championship, and how damn uselessly big are F1 cars... :P
btw. try it when it's raining, i can't wait to see the rain indoor :D or by how much the grip changes

lmao i tried driving this in the merc w07 and it cant get around the hairpins without a perfect stamp on the throttle mid corner

The chicanes instead of hairpins and revised section towards the end of the track infinitely improve the track
They actually race here? Seems like a go-kart track. Those are Autocross(American)slow corners.
I did like the air on the straight though.
Would love to have seen how close you came to the wall about near the end of the lap.

I counted about 13 seconds spent at near-full throttle. So maybe 15-20% of the lap if lucky? Probably an equal amount of the time spent sliding.

How much did you edit steering angle for the hairpins? Double?
I actually didn’t play around with the steering angle for my wheel, but i feel like the car mod itself may have had something edited with it, I was surprised I was able to make the turns without hitting the walls

This is the old layout....the double hairpin has been replaced by a chicane. Plus, it's too small for an F1 car ahaha, they barely get past second
Hope a mod releases with the new layout, with better quality as well. This mod had no grip at all and looked kind of ugly 😩
they have changed it since this layout, so it doesnt have the stupid double-hairpin in the car park
