    So you are paid to pick up pallets and to sell them? Or do you have to pay for the pallets in order to take them to then recycle or resell and repair

    • @PalletProsAcademy
      @PalletProsAcademy  9 днів тому

      Great question Josh. Initially, I charge for pallet haul offs. If the pallets are in good condition, I have the options of either finding a customer to sell them to for a great price, I can take them to the pallet yard or I can add them to my current inventory if I have room in my warehouse at the time.

    What about damaged pallets where can i drop those off consistently?

    • @PalletProsAcademy
      @PalletProsAcademy  Рік тому +2

      Good question. There is a few ways to approach this situation. Number 1. You want to get into the habit of charging your customers a haul off fee to remove their junk pallets. You then take that scrap to the dump to dispose. Number 2. You charge for a haul off and take to a pallet recycler who will pay you for your scrap wood. You will have to call around to find this individual or use word of mouth to locate. Number 3. Charge for haul off and dispose somewhere that doesn't charge for wood dump. Fire departments always need wood for fire training so you can check there. Number 4. Charge for haul off and break down the scrap yourself to resell. I hope this helps. Hit me for a 15 min consultation and I will answer any further questions you have.

    What are reasonable pallet cost / pricing?

    • @PalletProsAcademy
      @PalletProsAcademy  Рік тому +1

      Pallets can cost any where from 2 to 3 dollars but most you will get for free. You set your pricing by calling to pallet yards and getting an average price.

      Hey Calvin. You can ask the customer what they are currently paying and beat their price. If they don't want to give you their current price then you can call or visit the pallet yards in your area and get the average price of the size pallet the customer needs. I hope this helps. Book a consultation call if you would like to discuss more. Thank you

    How much money you recommend to start this business ass a beginner

    • @PalletProsAcademy
      @PalletProsAcademy  Рік тому +2

      I would say about 500 to 1000 if you don't have a truck or trailer because you will need to rent one when you pick up your pallets. If you already have a truck or trailer then your even better. Just have some extra money for gas because initially you will be doing a lot of driving looking for customers.

    I psych myself out every time I drive up to a big business to go ask them about their pallets, my mind always talks me out of it I have real bad anxiety when it comes to stuff like that it’s getting frustrating because the money is right there in front of me

    • @PalletProsAcademy
      @PalletProsAcademy  Рік тому +3

      Yes it is. You are already successful! You have to tell yourself that. Here's an exercise...when you wake up in the morning and look in the mirror verbally say "I'm successful and I will approach 5 businesses today and inquire about their pallets." Ask open ended questions and allow the client to tell you their needs. Once they give you an answer, Don't commit to anything and simply say thank you and I will be in touch. You got this.

      @@Mojojojo335 my pitch is "hello my name is x I have a pallet business in this area. I got turned around and on my way out I saw your stack of pallets. Can you please explain your pallet situation to me?". Those are the exact words that I still use today. Also, as your out scouting while your building your business just get information from your prospective clients based on what they tell you. Tell them you will be in touch later but don't commit to anything until you have something in place. You can schedule a 15 min consult with me and ask me any question if you want to know more or we can chat in the comments.

    I been in the pallet business just as long. & what they going to tell you at walmart jewels. Sams clubs. Target never have pallets they bring there products In plastic bins. But what there going to tell you is that they return there pallets back to the company for a core charge. They bring 10 pallets of product you give them 10 dameged pallets walmart gets a discount on the pallets the distro get the pallet fix it & the cycle continues. Point is everyone no's the value of a pallet & no one is giving up free money. Just pullup take the fucking pallets & keep it moving. A idiot bot making 8 buck a hour catches you taking pallets grease his hungry palms. & you good to go. They will be waiting on you everytime its a load. I guess that's what he meant by talking to the distro😅😅

    • @PalletProsAcademy
      @PalletProsAcademy  Рік тому +1

      Yes we advocate talking to a manager or someone in charge at a location to develop a relationship vs just grabbing what you want from the back. You are correct, Walmarts, Kroger's, Sam's etc are typically a no go since they recycle their pallets. Sometimes you can get lucky though. Also some customers prefer their location to be clean vs making a few bucks on pallets. That's why we teach solving a problem for the business and taking away all their trash as apposed to just taking what you want. It's a win win for all parties.
