- After the great Goblin army broke the world-record Twitch hype train multiple times AdmiralBahroo declared war to retake his throne. The Pandas and Goblins had a glorious battle but the Pandas won the day... yet not for long.
Huge thanks to @AdmiralBahroo and everyone in both of our communities. We get to do awesome things on the internet because of you. What you do is incredibly humbling.

It's hilarious that this is basically just a competition of who can throw more money at their streamer, even if you lose you win
It's a clever way to get money from your viewers by making it into a challenge.
Pyrocynical strategy.
Fake rage towards chat donations
Make a working mans salary in a matter of a few hours
This is what Thor did but less obnoxious
@@jimbomcbob7849 most people know that tho I feel like, they’re entertainers and people pay for the entertainment, just like a broadway show or a movie 🤷🏼♂️
It's honestly so cringe and two people have never been less relatable "who will be more rich by the end of today"
@@valarya Thor was barely making a living until a few months ago. He brings a positive atmosphere to thousands of people now (and went from 10k subs to over a million in that time) And this hype train allowed him to get a house with extra land to build his ferret rescue. He currently has 30 ferrets and is moving up to 100. He’s also now paying some of his moderators to go full time and giving them benefits. The man lives super frugal and he’s gotten this windfall out of nowhere without asking for it. It was his community’s idea to do this not his own.
What’s cringe is commenting on something in which you have no actual information as to what’s going on. This was really fun and yes he happened to make a truckload of money from people who donated it willingly. Again it wasn’t his idea.
That's probably one of the most expensive way to ddos a server that I've ever seen... lol
At 4.99 a sub, and $17141.95 in bits, it comes to a $185,070.42 DDOS, collectively lol
do they give it to charity or something? this is rediculous lmfao@@CrashRacknShoot
Well maybe twitch complains about to much money now :)

This reminds of a quote from Let's Go Whaling video. " If a stock mogul and oil sheikh decide to compete in your freemium game who wins? You win!"
Can't believe Thor finally got gnomed on January 19 2038
Why’d you have to spoil the story, man? Come on!
on my bday? man
Wait, where in the video does he get gnomed?
@@TwinklingStar0839wth didnt know you were from the future! how was it like in 2038
That's something bold there 😂 xmyou must have a masterplan
Thor and AdmiralBahroo out here with the most positive and constructive version of a DDoS I've ever seen, lol 😂
I don't know anything about twitch lore etc but I just love the hair juxtaposition between Thor and Bahroo.
Thor has magnificent hair, but can't grow a beard worth a damn. Bahroo has an excellent beard, but is bald. If we fused them together, they would be too powerful!
@@LordoftheDiceif the fusion goes badly though, they’d be the weakest being in the universe

Great video, except the “This whole train took fifteen minutes” on the final train. It was definitely unprompted, but we stretched that bad boy out for two hours and it almost died once until Goblin Necromancy revived it halfway through. Still, pretty awesome to relive those moments..that was absolute madness that I have a hard time seeing happen again. Unless they do that end of the year discount sub thing again. Then the goblins will be back.
April 1st, watch for it
@@flatinumfox yea I know that’s the plan, but that’s a huge mountain we have to climb especially without the discounted subs. And with the new format at the end with no rage timer it’s a wild card. That could work for or against breaking the record. You best believe I’ll be taking part in that though!
One month to horde as much donation money as possible. I think you're right but twitch chat has been crazy enough to make it possible
Can I ask, honestly, what do you get out of throwing money at anyone on this platform?
@@valarya just supporting the people who create the content. I don’t mind throwing a few bucks here and there to thank them for entertaining me. It’s just like paying for a movie or some other form of entertainment. It’s how they make their living after all.
We need first two world records edited like this as well this is history.
They are! The video is all done and queued for release.
So many subs given, yet I still managed to dodge all of them on any of the recordbreaking hype trains... Will support with YT premium instead! ^_^
The real Neo was found
Damn, relatable.
I refuse to pay a streamer. I'll watch an ad, but donating nah. Other people need it more. If I'm donating it's to people who need food etc
I've been watching Admiral Bahroo since he was making Borderlands 2 content on UA-cam, and his content and livestreams got me through a few tough years, I absolutely love the community he has built. And as for Pirate Software, I found out about you near the end of last year and just love how fast you've been growing. Now I have 2 go-to comfort streamers to watch when I'm stressed out.
The admiral vs the pirate. Their battle will be legendary
Twitch staff love this tho, this was such an amazing stress test of their systems. They may have fallen over but now they have the data to make it better.
Its amazing that these two convinced thousands to give them money like this, but even more so they both made it into a game so it wasn't just them saying 'everyone sub as many times as you can afford'
I had to scroll way to far to see this, I am horrified at the abuse of influence on presumably either older teens or young adults.
How has this not been a huge controversy,
This video should be "Two financially wealthy dudes trick people into making them even more wealthy"
Goblins are gonna hit level 77 at 77% on April 1st let’s gooooo
_You joke, but like..._
you've gotta love our ability to come together as community to achieve the impossible as people!
this is inspiring!
Crazy idea: Sending these two communities into random streams that might have never seen a Twitch payout before, or only one or two over many years, with this energy.
Im glad this video was made both so i could experience the greatness of this time and so its saved for its value
Absolute banger video! Tells the story perfectly with the most appropriate amount of flare! Amazing work Steets.
Fun fact: their genetic offspring could be completely hairless or completely wookie. Either way, I'd be very terrified of such hype-train-borne being.
I think that's awesome that some Twitch employees were getting into helping the world record reattempt/stress testing the api. Congrats all around.
Also at 315 hours at 8 hours a day at 5 days a week is roughly a month and a half of a full time job, but since AdmiralBahroo is streaming 12 hours a day, his Twitch Anniversary Celebration will last 26 days and 3 hours more as of this video. People could have donated more to add time to the counter since then.
Amazing how we came back with a vengeance 2 days later and got the record back. The Goblins are strong and The Goblins are many.
Over one million subs. A “check mark” by your name and only one video on your channel. And you just copied someone else’s post word for word from days ago. ???
@@cyberdemon1702 yea its just a bought account, theres a ton of things like that where people make an account with some kind of unique name and sell it

I just found your channel and i have to say i love your energy and good vibes. not only that when i watch you i always leave learning something new. keep it up
This was really well put together. Well done.
I hope to see more grand battles in the future. This is great, thank you Thor.
Award winning goblin lord gets showered with praise and still dares to deny he is deserving. Thank you from a guy who started making his game thanks to your encouragement. You do deserve it, you are amazing, I thank you and the community you build
Fantastic editing on this! Good job Steets.
Ahh yes, the panda vs the ferret. The ultimate showdown in nature
Love this video
Thank you Panda's and Goblins
Live long and prosper 🖖
Damn, Bahroo can't make youtube videos so Thor decided to make one for him. Nice job!
I was smiling the whole vid... super fun content, congrats to both of you and your communities. Cheers
Twitch, make multi channel hype trains a thing! Both combined trains and versus battles would be a great way to gamify monetization. The communities win and Twitch wins. You can do this, you have the technology. Make more epic moments like this
Some say this is the most draining hardest job btw
Gotta convince all those people to charge those credit cards, that’s socially draining
Nobody says this, you're just bitter you can't do it. Cope
@@cyor8721 you can literally find several streamers who have said this with 30 seconds searching

I can't even imagine how much money they made in 30 min. Prob more than I make in a year
That was amazing😂😂😂 congrats to both of you!!!
It was a battle to go down in history
This is the same tatic that TV Evangelicals and politians use just in a more subtle way. 1: be charasmaticly spoken and preach good things, 2: build a community around your charisma, 3: encourage your community to hurl money at you "for a cause" 4: Overly praise your community for being the best loving community ever and make them feel all good inside for giving you so much money. 5: repeat 3 and 4 indefinatly.
I mean for politicians that's more taking money from corporate forces then promising that money didnt sway your policy or leadership choices. The Evanglist model is certainly closer, but I'll argue you missed a crucial component to the evangelist pipeline. Yeah the charismatic leader says their fund is for some greater good, but often the active rhetoric utilized to activate the funding is derived from fear. The cult, I mean Church leader will enforce a narrative to the victim that they are destined for an eternity of torture and damnation in the pits of hell, UNLESS they financially absolve themselves via the fund. The fund that leader can report as untaxable religious income, and which they can use for their benefit often times by monetarily lubing up the aforementioned Politician.
Do I think people can be preyed upon in all 3 scenarios, absolutely. Super pacs propose stakes of societal collapse should their candidate lose, streamers fundamentally profit off a performance that's parasocial entanglement, but let's not pretend that dubious morality is of the same scope and scale as the TV evangelists out there. One is a charismatic idol, the other is a charismatic idol whose telling you if you dont repent via your debit card you are hell bound, and thats not even considering the fact that entire family, and social circles have structured themselves around that latter leader. Victims of evangelists might very well have been exclusively raised knowing only their one church, and that it is infallible and needs their support, lest they and families will burn in hell. Feels a little different in scale when compared to a couple streamers doing a dumb bit that preys on parasocial investment for a currency that can surely be back charged in a few clicks via their bank.
Tbh I feel for and worry about people who get swept up in this kinda hypeathon, but trying to simile with some of the unabashed manipulators who get to fly their private jets and rake in cash that should be taxed to subsidize programs that could actually help a greater good, but they get to keep every cent of, is a little unfair
Never seen Twitch and I have no idea what's going on. But this was the most exciting game of... whatever it was, I've ever seen. Congrats on... whatever just happened. You both seem pleased.
All jokes aside, it is probably a great way to stress test Twitch.
Bahroo looks so much like Kibitz I just can't even. Even the background is the same.
Bahroo is an evolved and older Kibitz.
Great insights and analysis shared by everyone. Really enjoyed reading all the comments and getting a different perspective.
I really hope you post a full video on this! I LOVE NOITA! ❤
This was such chaos I'm glad to have been apart of this
Dang I used to watch every bahroo BL2 video back in the day now I watch you, crazy
I've been watching bahroo since bo2 streams started. He's great but I love the both of you guys as content creators.
That was really cool good to see him having even more success I’m excited to get into AoC with him should be really fun I’m upgrading my pc specifically for this
I had an English teacher who had a nephew who worked at Blizzard and since watching you I can't stop noticing similarities in facial features and expressions. I don't even care if it's true, but I will always believe. 😂
These hype trains were all stupid fun.
Im not sure what i just watched, but it was exciting.
That's a wild collab. I remember watching Bahroo do Borderlands 2 speedruns

The money...
Good for you Thor, you deserve it!
I was there for this, and it was insane.

2 hype trains so powerful it ddos'd twitch
I saw the first Hype Train record attempt with Bahroo's community live. That shit was wild
I love the fact these guys basically forced Twitch to eliminate the cap on hype trains.
Got me so Hyped Omg.
the amount of money spent in that short time is absolutely insane

Listening to Payday 2 music made this video so much more chaotic
Hype duels should legit be a thing 👀. It's a great idea 😁!
It is absolutely wild to me that tens of thousands of dollars gets thrown about during these hype trains. Astonishing numbers to me.
was this just a contest of which userbase had more money to throw at them?
finally someone said it. yes.
Can you throw money at me?
they both got giftet about 100k by their community. CONGRATS! you deserved it!

This was so freaking wholesome
Goblins are strong.... Love this
I hope all of this went to charity.... only way is acceptable imo! But, love both these dudes!
Damn Thor is destroying twitch records 🎉
We. Are. Goblin.
Hi, love your content. I'm a bit confused about the "Hype train" thing, is this basically a competition to see who can get the most money thrown at them over a period of time? (Apologies if it's more complicated i googled it but didn't make much sense)
In theory yes. The idea of hype train is to give viewers incentive to sub/send bits in a set, short period of time, it starts when multiple people spend some money on a channel in short span of time and at the end everyone that participated gets some emotes for keep.
@@Thandulfan yeah, as shitty as I thought
@@okedokie what’s shitty about it? People do it willingly to support the content. Thor was barely earning a living until a few months ago and because of Hype trains like this he’s now in a great place financially. He’s able to expand his ferret rescue to 100 ferrets and move into a house with land to build a new facility.
@@cyberdemon1702 obviously jealous because that was essentially a game where they had probably more than a million dollars thrown at them....
@@Lloyd00 ha! Prolly. I fudged the math a bit and I put the amount raised at like 75-100k each. It’s hard to get an exact figure because some sub tiers are more expensive than others.

This was so much fun

This was fun
Ohh mr panda salesman. Need to watch his old bl2 guides again
Oh man, the amount of money thrown in this event
They just made more in half an hour than i do in 2 years. Sheeeeeeeeesh lol
That was sick lol
Hey Thor, ya wanna know a piece of cursed knowledge? Do you know where hair of the dog came from? Back in medieval times it was widely believed that if you got bit by rabies by a dog and you killed it and then made a salve out of its fur and applied it then you would be cured. Obviously didn't work and many died. But the hair of the dog that bit you basically means, that which ales you is also the cure. So if your hungover, what will make you feel better? More beer. I used to be a bartender. I hope you'll say this in a short
I was there when twitch was broken
What a wild way to gamify a giant paycheck. As someone who knows nothing about twitch this seems really weird but now I want to figure it out.
